I like how authentic and excited Pete gets when playing the guitar. It is so much pleasure and fun just watching Pete's skills on any guitar. Great guy!
My son has bought one of the Hetfield lefties, it's an awesome piece of kit!!! Arrived safe and sound today, just a shame they don't come with a case or even a gig bag!
With the high distortion it doesn't seem to matter what pickup combination or whether they are split or not, they all sound the same to me. Clean or crunchy ofcourse I hear plenty of difference.
The thing with James Hetfields signature Eclipses is that the actual functioning toggle has a larger hole, so if you where to put a volume there you'd have to do some modding on it to be able to fit.
5:45 correct there Capt. ESP LTD 1000 series and top end LTD Signatures now comes from Indonesia, to an expected much lower price, but nope, still stupid expensive..
Ohhhhh, the White single cut with the single pup is swwweeeetttt! I only play on the bridge pickup anyway so...Just wish it was Gibson’s scale length, and I lived closer. Maine, USA is a bit far for shipping? I’d play the blues on that for certain!
Great vid! Can I ask that you try a video or two with a modeler? or at least an amp with a loadbox + IR. it would sound a lot better than amp + mic in your specific use case, I'm sure.
You guys are chugging SOOOOOO much better now! Dialled in them tones really nicely for high gain too! You're not totally embarrassing yourselves anymore! :D
At the end, when Pete was on the 7 and the Captain was just ripping it up. That was the most 80's, hair-metal, spaghetti western thing ever and it was awesome. It would pay to see the movie to which this is the theme tune.
While I much prefer the Firebird that is the most well known one and looks more like the ESP Phoenix in this video, the Sparrowhead is actually based off of a non-reversed Firebird, that's right, the Firebird that comes up when we google it and we all know and love the most is actually the reversed variant.
Looks like the chug lessons payed off. Now for some metal tone lessons I think. Here is a little tip from me on metal tone. You don't need everything on 10. Take the distortion down, reduce that drive and gain. Increase the bass and reduce treble. OK more than one tip there. But the tone will improve for sure guys.
My phone speakers can't handle the intro 😂 I can't even make out chords and notes. All I hear is "chug chug and squeal squeal"... Now I know what my parents felt like when I was blasting Slayer all day on my cheap radio
Absolutely impressed by Schecter's quality over the past few years. They sound excellent, yes, but they play better than guitars 3x the price too, which is even more important to me.
Great sound but my god the quality is awful. Scratched tuners, poor binding and overall bad finishing. Looks fine from a distance but the quality is disappointing for the price
@@curtisholmes9623 weird, that sucks you had a terrible experience. Having picked up 2 or 3 in person and having my own I can't say I share the same sentiments, and mine needed a very small amount of adjustment.
Thumbs up if you were NOT expecting that opening jam.
Thumbs up if we need to chug more! 😉
@@andertons You just need to keep doing what you're doing - this channel is tops!
@@andertons ola's lesson paying off!
Their baby chugs bring me joy
Andertons Music Co it is beautiful!!! I LOVE to see you explore the choppy chops chugs chugga! Sounds like some epic Scandirock🤘🤘🤘
You guys need to get Ola to give you another chug lesson.
We will always need another lesson on how to chug... 😉
Dunno about that, Karl. I hear improvement...
This time on amp selection lol
Easy fix: add a Revv G3 or G4 to the pedalboard.
you gentlemen seem to have been working on the chugs
Seems all the lessons with Ola have been paying off! 😉
Im thinking of buying one but not sure which one
the Bill Kelliher model looks rather nice
Yeah
Definitely looks like you've improved since your chug lesson!
Maybe you should do a heavy tone tutorial with Rabea next
If that's a lesson you would like to see, then we can try make it happen?
@@andertons yesssss!!
@@andertons Yes! And maybe add the extra challenge of only using what Pete and Lee already have on their boards
@@andertons for sure
@@andertons would LOVE to see that. Bea's an amazing guitarist and an amazing teacher.
The lessons with Ola are giving some good results! Congrats Captain Lee and Pete!
We're glad you all can see the results... We'll be metal masters in no time!
This is a monster of Ola's creation. Good stuff. The Iron Captain and the Steel Dane. Once Metal, Always Metal.
Once metal, I will never *hate* metal
Chug Berry!
That is genius!

I have a an LTD by ESP EC-400 with EMGs. No this isn’t a rap song.
Opening jam was so filthy you're going to need more Purell.
Something about Danish Pete "chugging" doesn't fit. 😄😄
No idea what you mean... He's a master at the metal riffs? 😉
@@andertons ikr
Just the tone.
Will it chug??? Anderton’s edition ❤️
Love from India
But can we chug? 😉
Bill Keliher rules. Mastodon rules. Pete rules. Lee rules. 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Couldn't agree more with the above statement!
I'm just glad they showed a left handed guitar!

ALREADY HAVE A SNAKBYTE BUT NOW I NEED AN IRON CROSS- thanks guys XD
Looking after our Left-handed players! Thanks for tuning in.
Seeing The Captain shred gave me so much joy lol
Captain Crunch 🤣
@@douglasgreen437 you and the captain can make it happin.
29:17 DAMN CAPTAIN
Blues player checking in. I watched mainly to watch Lee and Pete try to play metal, but now I need that Phoenix-1000
Jazztodon is clearly Bill Kelliher's jazz quartet
This video is karma for all the times we were like "All Rob does is shred"
I love me some Jazzstadon.
With the high distortion it doesn't seem to matter what pickup combination or whether they are split or not, they all sound the same to me. Clean or crunchy ofcourse I hear plenty of difference.
Those are probably some of the best split clean tones I've heard on the Sparrowhawk
The thing with James Hetfields signature Eclipses is that the actual functioning toggle has a larger hole, so if you where to put a volume there you'd have to do some modding on it to be able to fit.
Are these all going out of production? Or just on sale?
Noted improvement on chugging work to do but the effort is appreciated
Any chance of a “sound like” for Ozric Tentacles ?

Wow, the clean tonez on that blue one, I hear what he's saying!

Never played guitar and never really wanted to, but the fact that you are showing a left-handed guitar for once kind of makes me want to buy one.
the captain showing off some mark tremonti tunes while soloing with the schecter...
Great vid!

This is great! The only thing missing is Rabea playing Mastodon riffs
Lee chuging and Pete on dissonant action? That was fun :D
I can't decide which colour Sparrowhawk looks best, blue or black? 🤔
Loved the pick slide that you did to end your jam, Pete!
Just when you thought you've seen it all... Lee & Pete come to chug the world upside down.
Unexpected but cool chugging intro boys! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
You guys are chugging SOOOOOO much better now! Dialled in them tones really nicely for high gain too! You're not totally embarrassing yourselves anymore! :D
I can play guitar and tennis at the same time with that thing.Very nice guitars. I love the black and gold version.Block inlays a big plus as well.
Look at Pete... so effortless. A pure joy to watch!
I have both the KM 6 mk ii and Km 7 Mk II and those are crazy deals for what those guitars offer!

Has Chappers been binned?
I'm never going to get the image of Chuck Berry duck walking to that out of my head - classic !!

Happy Friday Andertons! Great video and awesome guitars. I'm loving that Sparrowhawk... But that James Hetfield Eclipse is calling to me
Glad to see you back Christopher! The James Hetfield Signature calls to everyone... 😉
@Andertons. That was a PERFECT sound for metal.
Will it chug?
Yes it can!
Ola englund mustve helped a tonne😉😉😉🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
12:26 admirable restraint from Mr. Pete Honore there.
Haha shows a fan to this channels dedication that I had to watch 6 sets of ads to watch the whole video a lot unskippable. Love the channel
Didn't ESP close the USA custom shop a few months back due to complaints about quality issues and a bad attitude towards some customers?

can you do a shootout between marshall origin and fender bassbreaker 15
After the 5th commercial it is beginning to piss me off.
Love it! That intro jam just great. Although - I do want to play Quake 2 now :-D Top stuff as always!
The Schecter km6 ii is very good value. The best one IMO
Great video. Pitty about all the YT ads through it.
Has Covie not worked out how to get round that bit of plastic yet? Why am I not surprised ........
Someone has been practicing the chug. Ola will be proud. Well done.
Great chugging guys! 🤘 I am really impressed with the versatility of that sparrowhawk.
Grate Firebird alt..you should have played some neo soul licks on it too Pete
So can swedish people order from andertons?
The intro doesn’t sound quite right without the harmonic over the 4th fret when Pete bends instead
Your video was a lot of fun. --- Luv that gtr with the P-90!
Great job guys, loved the opening. Another week of practice, and you won't even need Rabea any more. XD
Lee's playing at 29:12 sounds fantastic, love it.
P.S I made it to the end of the video
That opening was pretty awesome. great job gents.
Honestly it's not that difficult to chug you just need to get the right tone on the distortion pedal more than the technique
Excellent chugs, lads! Amazing progress.
@9:25 Bill Kelliher's jazz group would have to be Jazztodon.
The playing at the end made me think of Layne Staley singing over it.
One Chug With Ola later....better than 7/8ths of metalcore bands out there. Solid 6/10!
Ola taught you guys well.
Straight out of hardwired that jam at the start! Loved it!
Fender Jazzmastodon
Chug Berry ;)
