Just wanted to say it's an honour to be here with Lee and the guys, I think it's better that the Andertons content is all in one place! Thanks for the support and long may the banter, shred, laughs and brotherly love continue :-)
What?! You've never been! Galway is one of the party capitals of Europe so I'm sure it would be a laugh! Love your new Uni-vibe too! If I had one I'd non stop play Machine gun and Breathe from Dark Side of the Moon!
So here it is - the very 1st video where Chappers & the Capt appear on Andertons TV!! We've kept the format the same - Rory is still editing them & the gags/banter is as bad as ever ;) - welcome to any new viewers, & please check out some of the other content on Andertons TV - its all good!! Cheers!!!
I agree! I came from playing Ibanez guitars for about a decade, and moved to my Schecter Banshee Elite 7 after I developed some issues in my hands, and the necks made it so much more comfortable for me to play!
Completely agree, I too came from Ibanez and I was just completely blown away with Schecter. Their C-shape necks whether it's their thin or normal, it's just perfect for me. Plus their models have gotten a hell of a lot better looking in recent years.
PengWinGamer bought an old omen 7 extreme simply because it had the features I was looking for. Had it shipped to store and fell in love with the playability as well as the beautiful style of it. Easily a gem I'll cherish forever.
Completely agree, just picked up a schecter for the neck, I'll be swapping out the pickups (came with duncan designed single coils, but I think I we can do a bit better!)
The term “Swamp Ash” does not refer to any particular species of ash (Fraxinus genus), but is generally used by luthiers to describe lightweight wood yielded from ash trees which are usually found in wet or swampy areas.
My pleasure. Your videos and the insights therein have kept me company during my expat life, so cheers from Japan and a hearty THANK YOU for keeping a fellow picker grinning when he needs it most! Hopefully I can make it over the pond to Anderton's someday sooner than later - it's been a bit mythologized in my mind.
Love the Captains riff on the outro. Very cool. Also nice to hear Schecter are using Ivory and Unicorn horn. Just need to find a way to incorporate a Tiger penis and some Panda eyes and I'm buying several.
In the words (and accent) of Chappers : The chemistry between these guys is ABSOLUTELY incredible!!!!! Schecter guitars (favorite brand), Apocalypse (favorite model), Chappers and Captain (favorite hosts ever). I need a TV show, maybe on NBC, with these two talking about everything rock and metal. Featuring Bea, of course. Cheers from Massachusets, USA !!!!!
Legend has it that if you spend long enough selling propane and propane accessories you turn into a passive aggressive nut job who secretly hates his son for constantly disappointing him at every turn.
I've heard they're great guitars, but I'm worried that if I buy one, every artist in my music library will slowly morph into Avenged Sevenfold, and the next time I look in the mirror, I'll find myself somehow wearing mascara and a bandana. There's definitely a stigma to the brand.
Aww, c'mon, there's more to Schecter's lineup than just the emo shit. If there wasn't, Robin Zander, Robert Smith, Balsac The Jaws and Jeff Loomis wouldn't be there.
"Swamp ash" is a term that's used almost exclusively by the guitar world. If you walk into a woodworking supplier and ask for it, there's a fairly high chance they'll just give you a funny look. While swamp ash _can_ come from swampy areas (being submerged for decades or hundreds of years affects the weight of the wood, similar to bog oak), it doesn't _have_ to and in fact is mostly just used to describe any especially lightweight piece of Northern or Southern ash: a regular-weight Northern ash Strat body can easily weigh in the 5-6lbs range, but an identical SA body is will typically be under 4lbs.
Lee, your tone, vibrato, pacing and general tastefulness are miles ahead of Chappers. Whatever his undoubted technical capabilities, he's so soulless and one-dimensional. He's easily the worst player on the channel.
A corsair is the captain or member of the crew of an armed civil ship (often merchant ships) which has been granted official authorisation to attack any enemy ship at sight during wartime, this leading to abusive behavior by some corsairs who saw an opportunity to make huge profits out of this... hence the assimilation of a corsair to a "somewhat legal pirate".
I have two Schecters. I also have a MIM Fender Strat and an Ibanez Iron Label, and the Schecters are both higher quality and better playing guitars. They do good work at that Korean factory. The thing about Schecters is the aesthetic, doesn't work for everyone, but they are nice guitars for the price.
ok my wife and i watched your video and she got me the banshee extreme in blackcherry burst with hardshell fitted case and paid $459 guitar and $ 130 for case thank you guys you are the best. I own a schecter omen 7 string and love it guitar arrived and it is awesome looking and sounds great it was love at first sight!
Are you using LED lights? Old school incandescent bulbs run hot! As a portrait photographer, I suggest led lights. Custom WB in your Canon cameras. Set looks good boys!
Guys: the neck is maple/bubinga not ebony, and the fretboard is ebony with jumbo stainless steel frets. Floyd is a 1500 series with stainless steel bolts. Cheers!
I got a Schecter Corsair about 7 or 8 years ago (from a store near where I live in California, long before I ever heard of you guys). It's not as nicely appointed as the one you demonstrate and mine doesn't have the Bigsby, but I'll say it is a very enjoyable guitar to play, sounds great, and affordable compared to an ES-335 (definitely not "shi-ffordable"). I definitely recommend that anyone should consider them if they're looking for a semi-hollowbody guitar that sounds great but doesn't break the bank. I'm not saying there aren't other good choices, but the Corsair is definitely a good option. Great job as always on your videos!
Schecter's are one of the most bang for the buck guitar brands on the market. Their stuff is outstanding. I currently own a Banshee 6 Passive and the KM-7 Keith Merrow 7-string. Amazing quality and great tones. Two that I would really love to own are the Sun Valley Super Shredder and the Nick Johnston model.
Schecter have been killing it the past few years. I had the pleasure of owning a KM6 for a year or so, fantastic guitar! PS: That intro was pure aural pleasure
Schecter CORSAIR custom : I purchased that same guitar and it is awesome. Plays like a dream and has great tones looks smashingly good. I went to GC and tested 335s that priced at 2400-2800$ then after 45 min of playing those I tried this. WOW It felt better than the real 335. Not as good of resale value but I think just as good a guitar. The ONLY thing so far is the bigsby it is not as responsive as I had hoped for you have to really shake it to hear it. I am going to replace the spring with a taller one and see if it helps. But these guitars are awesome and the finish is very handsome

Swamp ash. Swamp ash is a common name for several North American trees in the genus Fraxinus which may grow in swamps and other wetlands. The wood of swamp ashes is relatively low in density and is used in the construction of musical instruments.
I think many people probably see a Schecter video and just want to see how hard can you shred, and if the gain knob goes to 11. Personally I think that something is kinda missing in the guitar reviews..? While some guitars obviously cater themselves to certain genres maybe, I've always been one to ask, "well, can I play jazz on it? can I get a really controllable clean tone that doesn't break up? what happens if I roll back the controls?" because I like to get as many diverse tones out of my axe as possible. I think that it would be helpful in the future to, in addition to the styles you both already play, to kinda touch as many of the points on the circle as possible. Anyway, thanks for the cool content! cheers.
Tried an Omen S2 extreme once. Pleasantly surprised by these Schecter guitars. Frets a bit hard on the slides but body nicely carved and sounds really good.
Hey guys...love. love, love your channel. I am always both inspired and entertained... a win-win in my books. I have an idea for an upcoming episode... what if the Captain, Chappers, Rabea and Danish Pete all sat down and shared and played the first Rock song they ever learned to play fin guitar? Don't tell each other the song ahead of time. Let it be a surprise. I was 14 when I learned to play my first rock song. It was 'Strutter' by Kiss. thank you and I am looking forward to getting a left-handed Chapman one day soon. Mark Royall
I just had an idea for a series I would eat up. "Guitar best for.." series of videos. such as "Guitar best for playing country style music" or blues, just run through genres. I'd definitely watch them.
Just wanted to say it's an honour to be here with Lee and the guys, I think it's better that the Andertons content is all in one place! Thanks for the support and long may the banter, shred, laughs and brotherly love continue :-)
Rob Chapman big fan here from Galway Ireland! If you (or Lee!) ever venture over to the west of the Emerald Isle you will be well taken care of!!!!!
Marcus Hogan Thanks man, always wanted to visit Ireland :-)
What?! You've never been! Galway is one of the party capitals of Europe so I'm sure it would be a laugh! Love your new Uni-vibe too! If I had one I'd non stop play Machine gun and Breathe from Dark Side of the Moon!
Rob.....best alter bridge album???? Quick!!
Here Here!! (or is it hear hear?). Whatever posh British people shout - that's what I mean!
CaptAnderton, is this after you are back from Vacation in Puglia?
No, its before! Although I am back. Time travelling is so confusing ;)
Lee I think you're actually my new favourite guitarist ever.
Like I almost nutted over that intro jam
CaptAnderton Your banetr is better than your spelling! 😉
Cap's playing in the intro is ace! nice mannn
Cheers!!
I agree! Loved that intro playing! Great stuff, Cap!
it realy is !
Capt, it think it would be great, huge idea to take your and Rob's best jams and release them as compilation (just audio will be great) ...
Absolutely, the man has feeling!
Lee's playing has improved enormously over the last year
Sounding great lee!!
You could say he's greatlee improved ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
boo!
i'll be honest... of all guitars that i've ever played, schecters have the best necks
I agree! I came from playing Ibanez guitars for about a decade, and moved to my Schecter Banshee Elite 7 after I developed some issues in my hands, and the necks made it so much more comfortable for me to play!
Matt Bennett tired of receiving recommendations, i'd like to try a prs soon :"D
Completely agree, I too came from Ibanez and I was just completely blown away with Schecter. Their C-shape necks whether it's their thin or normal, it's just perfect for me. Plus their models have gotten a hell of a lot better looking in recent years.

It seems like the Captain's licks just get more and more tasty! Great video! Love watching you guys together.
Yes - that Corsair really bought out the goodness!! Thanks for the nice compliment.
The dude who edits these videos has a great sense of humor.
Editing is Top notch once again, nice job

Lee:What it's made of?
Rob:Wood!
Ilya Rogozhynsky Let the Dad jokes commence!
Love the Captains riff on the outro. Very cool. Also nice to hear Schecter are using Ivory and Unicorn horn. Just need to find a way to incorporate a Tiger penis and some Panda eyes and I'm buying several.

Love schecter, we've been carrying them since 09. They've always treated us well, and they have been very consistent! Nice review guys!
Legend says if you play a Schecter for long enough, you'll turn into a skateboard with a mullet.
Hank Hill I just like every comment you write.
Legend has it that if you spend long enough selling propane and propane accessories you turn into a passive aggressive nut job who secretly hates his son for constantly disappointing him at every turn.

Avenged sevenfold hasn't been emo in years x)

*Cups. Didn't. Explode.* I'll let it slide this time.. xD
Yeah! We need some Michael Bay Exploding Mugs!
Abhishek Saini That sounds like sick merch
0:14 The captain can sure dish out a solo, just really pleasant on the ear, I wanna see these guys do an album together.

Who else thought Rob enjoyed himself the most in this video than in a long time?
Jake Torres Yeah I thought that :-)
32°C? *[laughs in Australian]*
Counterflak Those are winter temperatures.
Counterflak thats only spring here... and 100 degrees is about 38c.... so its only about 91 degrees in England right now
[laughs in Texan]
Where are you at, Counterflak? I'm in Newcastle, we got up to 50 a few times in January.
i'm in Wagga Wagga, NSW. 32 degrees is a nice day
Damn, Lee. Your playing is quite something these days.
He's a FAR better player than Chappers.
I wouldn't say that, but I do prefer listening to what Lee chooses to play.
Thanks man - I appreciate that.
I'm just different. In terms of theory, technique, song writing & lots of other aspects of playing, Chappers is miles ahead of me!
Lee, your tone, vibrato, pacing and general tastefulness are miles ahead of Chappers. Whatever his undoubted technical capabilities, he's so soulless and one-dimensional. He's easily the worst player on the channel.
honestly some of the best playing I've seen from the Capt there at the beginning. Excellent!
10:28 "If you learn how to make a lick and then flick it in" I love Pete's dirty mind
I was so vibing that intro solo. Captain has really gotten better just since I've been watching
Now we need the battle: Schecter vs. PRS SE ! Which is the better korean made guitar!
don't they come out of the same World Musical Instruments factory?
add to that list: Dean, Chapman, Gretsch, LTD
Randy Lahey well, yeah. but we're all supposed to pretend that they try harder on certain days / lines.
PRS
PRS sucks in my opinion
Always great hear more of Lee. Robs a sick guitarist, but It's awesome hearing Lee doing more lead stuff!
the editing was on point in this video, rory you went above and beyond and truly are a god amongst men

Raoul Tchoï it's also an American world war 2 navy plane
it's also a 1960's Ford (ford UK) or late 80's early 90's Ford Australia.
the corsair is gorgeous! ive been holding out for a chapman 335-esque guitar release but good god, that is fabulous
"Lick it, flick it, and add it in for the crack" - Lee Anderton 2017
i thought i was tripping out when i saw lee on the 7 string... glad to know i've not gone insane, he might be suffering heat-stroke though
the Captain's guitar skills have grown so much over the past few years. He sounds absolutely amazing. keep it up

Rob's playing was so clean and on point, good stuff
Captain, I've never heard you sound better than on this schecter corsair. This one's really amazing in your hands, tone wise.
Rory, keep up that kick ass editing. Chappers and The Captain are great and all, but these videos wouldn't be what they are without you.
ok my wife and i watched your video and she got me the banshee extreme in blackcherry burst with hardshell fitted case and paid $459 guitar and $ 130 for case thank you guys you are the best. I own a schecter omen 7 string and love it guitar arrived and it is awesome looking and sounds great it was love at first sight!
intro is by far the best solo i've heard from the Cap. was awesome!
Are you using LED lights? Old school incandescent bulbs run hot! As a portrait photographer, I suggest led lights. Custom WB in your Canon cameras. Set looks good boys!
*Reviews the only HSS 7-string in production, only plays the bridge pickup*
Richard Hunter you should look at agile. they've had a production 7-string hss strat and I believe a 7-string sss strat.
Europe is a second-class market for Agile, I wouldn't buy from them.
Guys: the neck is maple/bubinga not ebony, and the fretboard is ebony with jumbo stainless steel frets. Floyd is a 1500 series with stainless steel bolts. Cheers!
Chappers and Lee are one of the best Guitar duets ever
I just ordered a gloss black and gold Synyster Custom-S, couldn't be more excited!
I have one of the old Schecter PT guitars. It is absolutely killer! Really versatile and comfortable to play. I'll definitely be getting another.
the capain is converted to the active side of the force .....
Kai Fischer specially in bed (insert Lenny face here)
I got a Schecter Corsair about 7 or 8 years ago (from a store near where I live in California, long before I ever heard of you guys). chapper with those calf muscles you shud be able hit that funky Grove and slam dunk at the same time.
For any Irish people here. Did I hear Rob say 'for the craic'?
As an Ulsterman I'm happy to confirm he did.
You're slowly becoming one of my favorite players, Lee. Magic in those there hands I tell you!
OK the strips n the back of the neck are babinga and the fretboard is ebony with Stainless Steel frets and hardware. Amazing rig !
The editing at 2:13 to 2:15 is spectacular!
Schecter have been killing it the past few years. I had the pleasure of owning a KM6 for a year or so, fantastic guitar!
PS: That intro was pure aural pleasure
I think Schechter might paying homage to a World War II Corsair. An American made fighter plane used in the Pacific theater against the Japanese.
Ahh, Einhorn is a good one. Also ivory in german is Elfenbein. Nice guitars, and good showcase, always have a smile on my face watching you two!
Lees' playing have been improving a lot, and the phrasing sounds top notch!~
Damn! Lee's playing and tone in the beginning of this video gave me chills! So good!!
That rotovibe is really changing up your sound, it's great!
Chappers tone is fing awesome today !!
JMarz thanks dude, I think I have found my magic pedal selection :-)
do you think a rotovibe and wah would go well?
The term “Swamp Ash” does not refer to any particular species of ash (Fraxinus genus), but is generally used by luthiers to describe lightweight wood yielded from ash trees which are usually found in wet or swampy areas...googled it :-)
Out of all the times I've seen the captain play a 7 string, this is by far my favorite one!
Supposed to hit 45c (113f) here in Phoenix today. And we're glad to see it after that week or so of 120f.
Capn Lee's playing on the opening jam!!! daaaaaammmmmnnnnn!!! so much taste and so many feels.
Lee I think 32 degrees in American money would be about eleventeen feet
As I was curious, swamp ash is a term used to describe any ash that grows in a swamp or wetlands, or ash that is simply lighter in density, it's really a broad term that could be used for any form of the ash tree.
Woah! Lees playing was great at the start. Really good picking hand.
I love the ending, Captain chugging on a 7 string, Chap making a P90 PT sing. Strange to look at, but it sounded good fellas.
I dropped a Schecter Hellcat 6, split the fretboard from the neck, threw some glue on it and it still plays beautifully
The Capt's musicianship sure has improved lately. Nicely done
I now wonder how it would sound if you got: a Sutainiack equipped guitar, a RotoVibe and Korg Miku pedal
It seems as if Rob had a clown for breakfast ;) He's just so damn funny in this video :o)
Frank Meffert They squeak when you chew them :-)
Yup. I want them all. Chappers and the Captain included.
32C is 90F Capt.
Also great to see some Schecters that aren't just the common C-shape guitars.
I have to say it. A hot drink will actually cool you down. I may have failed my chemistry a level, but I remember that nugget of a fact
Basic thermodynamics m8. Heat only flows one way.
Schecter knockin' it out of the park, again!
Gorgeous guitars.
Hello Lee, from the USA. I think that you should purchase that guitar. It's beautiful, and sounds great. (Corsair )
32 degrees Celsius is 89.6 Fahrenheit.
If I had banged 89.6 grils I'd say I'd banged about 100
100 and 90 don’t have a big difference in fahrenheit
Honestly Rob's playing in this video is better than the previous 5 vids together. THIS is Rob and his exciting playing :D imo at least
Swamp Ash just refers to any Ash tree that grows in swamps or other wetlands. It can literally be any of the several variants of Ash, as long as the tree grows in a swamp.
swamp ash, ebony fingerboard, maple, bubinga and carbon fiber and some huge stainless frets. plays absolutely tops
If these guys did a podcast, that would be my jam.
not a brand I have ever thought about, but those look and sound stunning
Man i love these old videos!!
I can't believe you through and ace Ventura reference that was awesome
Swamp ash. Swamp ash is a common name for several North American trees in the genus Fraxinus which may grow in swamps and other wetlands. The wood of swamp ashes is relatively low in density and is used in the construction of musical instruments.
nice jamming @ the beginning 😊 cheers from Mauritius. bw love the emg pickups

Captain, you improve a lot... it just so fascinating
I'm subscribed to both Rob and Andertons... didn't even notice this is the first captain and chappers video on here
I have the Schecter Banshee Fr blue Ocean Burst. And i love my guitar.
Grettings from mexico.
It always looks like it's Christmas in your vids, you need some fresh summer decoration!
GREAT PLAYING GUYS YOUR JUST GETTING BETTER AND BETTER. LOVE YOUR VIDS. KEEP EM COMING!
Tried an Omen S2 extreme once. Pleasantly surprised by these Schecter guitars. Frets a bit hard on the slides but body nicely carved and sounds really good.
A Corsaire, which is a french word by the way, was a pirate that was recruted by the King of England to attack French boats.
Why has NOBODY commented on the fact that when referring to temperature Lee said "...in American money."?!
No amusing intro or outro like when it was on Rob's channel? Sacrilege!
Lee's playing has really improved.
I just had an idea for a series I would eat up. "Guitar best for.." series of videos. such as "Guitar best for playing country style music" or blues, just run through genres. I'd definitely watch them.
This jam reminds me of "Let Me Rest In Peace" from the Buffy musical episode.
