It's just a shame how much the prices have jumped, especially since they brought in the Premium line. When I bought my RG1570 Prestige around 15 years ago it was £480 brand new!

I am so happy to see yet another brilliant video with Pete and Rabea, I just hope that this streak continues because I love hearing real guitarists playing their hearts out :-)
Ibanez have a variety of great guitars that suited for clean, low gain, mid gain, high gain or anything in between, so i guess it's just right that Andertons send their best all around clean players and their best all around high gain players to do the review,...
I realy enjoyed this one..We can all agree that Ibanez is the Guitar Giant right now.. So much quality instruments at lower prices...Its so good to be a guitarist in 2020...
Those gold pickups on the light blue guitar Rabea is playing are very reminiscent of the covered super distortions dimarzio wound for Westone and others(matsumoku) back in the 80s. Reading my own comments, makes me feel old.
Nicely done Rabea. I always enjoy your style & tempo, (& insights,) but this FR800 is my favorite of all your demos because it was obviously so organic & done with such fun inertia! I'm expecting to receive my FR800 this week, along with my other NAMM acquisition; the similar Charvel Pro Mod So-Cal 2 24 HH in Satin Black. The two should make for a compelling H2H shootout. The neck comparison in particular should be cool. Keep up the great & entertaining work man.
I've been humming and playing the first part of the lick Rabea played at 0:20 for around an hour and I finally found where I got recognize from. I heard it on the song "please never fall in love again" around 1:40 where he sings "you know I don't look pretty when I cry". I can rest now.
Can I make a suggestion? I'd love to know what amps and pedals were being used. I couldn't make out what Pete was saying. If you threw up a 'Gear Card' for a second at the end, you'd help all of us that are interested! Thanks.
jesus that petes solo from 12:30 is so beautiful, this whole video has so great and relaxing impros, great! and ofc these new ibanez guitars are amazing
Really want more RGD models from Ibanez! One of my favorite guitars I have is a 99' prestige 7 string neck on an American RGD copy body. Edge7 with a brass lock, vol/tone/5way like on a regular RG, and D-Activators. Love the shape just wish Ibanez would release more versions with more controls! RGD is one of the most comfortable and easy to play guitar shapes I've played that wasn't headless or ergo cut
Damn guys!!!! I love when the two of you play guitar together. very inspiring!!!! The playing at the 12 minute mark might be some of the best noodling you guys have done together.
Guys, y’all should do a competition! “Spot #thecaptainslick!” Like how many times it’s been slipped into the video 😂 and maybe the prize can be a guitar pedal!
I wonder what goes through their heads while they watch each other play.... they have such different styles and are both such amazing players, are they thinking “yeah I could do that” or what?! Such great playing on this clip
It is the Alter switch. The Dynamix switch gets you to a tone that is pretty close to Telecaster. Go in there sometime and you'll find it. I was amazed.
The trolling of the Cap has reached epic proportions over at Anderton's! Now if only Matt and Ben and Chappers would get in on the fun then the job is truly complete. And imagine if all guests on the Cap Meets segment would also get in on the gag....! Great video, really. It seems like these are two exceptional musicians who are on the same level and not too egotistical. They're considered and communicate really well. What's more, they've got a musical range that means they can showcase the different abilities of the guitars. Please make more!
It's good to see the big companies taking risks and making guitars with nice pickups and that are actually aesthetically pleasing. Nice job Ibanez. I always thought the big companies guitars just looked so fricken plain and boring. Painted planks of wood with dead pups only good for complete overhaul modifications.
