The fact you have people alone, in Patagonia vests, in a cloudy city and you don’t feel inspired?! THAT is the inspiring! Which other city has that? Open your mind bro- you’re missing out trying to be New York
I really appreciate your style and sentiments/ethics around your subjects!
I’m so glad! I always struggle to know what people will find valuable and/or interesting, so it’s good to hear :)
You’re videos are so well put together man, I really like the shots you took, especially the ones around 4:00! Keep it up Matt :)
Thank you Mike!! Been having a lot of fun with these.
Seattle. Yeah!
You are right about the lack of people on the street. That isn’t restricted to the gloom period. I walk entire blocks during weekday business hours without seeing a person. Seattle definitely lacks the population density required to easily do street photography. That is one reason I work the market. There are usually people there.
I don’t interact with my subjects. I take the picture and then move on. I usually don’t take pictures of the homeless. Saturday I found a homeless man contorted into a ball. I photographed him because of his shape. I purposely didn’t capture his face.
I was born and raised in Brooklyn. I return home for a week once a year. I love walking the streets of Manhattan. There is a very different vibe on the streets there if for no other reason than there are people on the street.
Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
Nice presentation.
Glad you liked it!
I walk by that Chinese restaurant in pike place at 5:55 in the video LMFAO. The lighting hits those booth seats like nothing else, I guess.
love this
"...very unknown, underground, part of Seattle here." 😂😂🤣

You still doing it regularly?
@@matthewrygh doing it on the fairgrounds these days
