Shout out to my Lover celebrating his Birthday today. Without his love, support and patience, this channel would not be happening. It’s also noteworthy to share something he said to me many moons ago when I begged him to go to church with me. “Mel, I’m not into that but I promise I will never come between you and your walk with God.” The man kept his word. Here we are today serving The Kingdom in a uniquely tailored way God designed just for us; a married couple living our dream #offgridongodsgrid glorifying The Triune God and His creation by working, enjoying, creating and loving one another as we continue in partnership with God and His Promise Land to us on Third Day Ranch.

1 John 2:27
💞 As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as His anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit- just as it has taught you, remain in it. ❣️
Today’s verse comes with more transparency, plus testimony and more humble pie for Melanie. Only God could orchestrate what I’m about to share thanks to my child-like faith in truly believing He speaks through the Scripture Treasure Box all from my asking: LORD, Whatcha wanna say to the world through me in Jesus Name. (I do a little dance and get real animated with God as I open the box, close my eyes and pick a card.) 🤗
Yesterday God Gave us Hebrews 4:15-16 and I wasn’t too pleased because I was tired; I memorized it 10 years ago but struggling to say it in the warm up with only 4 hours sleep due to ALL THINGS I accomplished the day before and our water woes. Getting the verse of the day right is very important to me, but as I continue to learn from God, You and my blunders. Getting right with God is more important than saying every word properly. Due to my struggle and tiredness I picked another card. God was rolling His eyes at me saying “Whatever”, I felt it but too tired to care LOL.
ONLY GOD: As I read the 2nd pick I thought: O LORD… I definitely don’t know this verse by heart because I just made the card at the end of the year on 12/26/23. I made it for encouragement to start this offgrid channel with reading The Chronological Order Bible as priority one.
God was smiling, He knows me so well. With little sleep, heat rising and a hearts desire to read outside, He knew I would take His 1st pick from Hebrews because there was no way I could memorize the 2nd pick minutes before recording so I put it back in the box.
ONLY GOD: Today, I was smitten when my hand pulled out the verse. 1 John 2:27 is THE 2nd PICK from yesterday you guys. The one I returned to the treasure box because I didn’t know it by heart, remember? Well, today I didn’t think twice. I knew what He wanted me to do: eat more humble pie. “Read from the card Melanie, it’s OK.” The crumb topping on my Lord’s pie is Lover’s encouragement throughout this quest. And it’s the best topping ever and here’s why…
When I named this channel, my heart truly believed I could read the Bible to you, share our amazing offgrid journey with God, maintain all the chores that got us where we are today and become monetized by July of this year 2024 (meaning earn income from RUclips.). And I thought I could do ALL these THINGS, NOT at the same time, but somehow squeeze them all in. I have different thoughts 6 months into the journey thanks to my Lord, my Lover and You the viewer.
First to my Lord for giving me zeal for His Word; so much so, that I want the world to give God a try just by reading His Good Book in its entirety.
Second to my Lover for constantly reminding me: Mel, the most important part of this channel and your bible quest is keeping your vow to God. I don’t care about you getting monetized, keep your vow. What a husband, God chose Michael for such a time as this and then some. We celebrate 30 years next year, Praise The Lord.
Third to you the viewer for all your comments, encouragement and dedication to show up every day to hear the Word of God. May today’s video be a testimony to the One True Living God and may you be encouraged to continue steadfastly and wholeheartedly in The Way with Jesus by completing His Word with me this year and hopefully many years after in the name of Jesus I pray, AMEN.
