    Nice tutorial, Thank you for adding how you finished the basing, so many tutorials skip the basing at the end such a big part of the process.

      Thank you, I must admit I leave it out myself sometimes, but only really if I’ve shown it in another video that I can reference.

    A small point, but the stirrup covers were actually stiffened leather and not metal, otherwise lovely job on Jackson, and particularly his horse, Little Sorrel.

      Thank you Andrew, next time I’m working on some I’ll fix that as it didn’t seem right at the time.

    PS - the blanket under the saddle is a saddle blanket. A decorated one is called a shabraque, in the ACW usually only used by senior officers.

      Ah I knew someone would know, I really should just Google things at the time 😂 - Thank you, very much appreciated.

    nice job , what scale are those ?

    • @MiniatureRealms
      @MiniatureRealms  2 года назад

      They’re Warlord Games own ‘Epic Scale’, 13.5mm to the eye. The ACW compared well with Kalistra 12mm, thought I’d say the Warlord proportions are more realistic and slim.
      Not sure there’s any modern Napoleonic ranges out there that will work or compare, most 15s now being larger, and many closer to 18s.

      @@MiniatureRealms same as 1/72nd ?

      1/72 are 20mm I believe, or close enough

    I’m surprised they didn’t sculpt Jackson with his arm in the air trying to balance out the blood in his body.....

      Yep me too, I think they missed a trick there, just seems the obvious thing to do.
