    Wow, that thing is gorgeous. I have a Zelos 40mm Ti Swordfish, but I gave it to my 11-year-old son. He wears it 24/7! The lume is ridiculously bright.

      It's unreal what Zelos is doing with their dials. Amazing. I love the swordfish model. They sell out so fast!!

      @@RealidealgearI’d love it if they had put numbers on the dial with a secondary 24-hr scale for a real “field watch” look.

      Yes, even if it was just the 12 in field-watch font...it would tie the dial into the case/bracelet style.

    Hey Tim - love your videos! Just got my dad a W736H and sent him a link to one of your videos! Hey I just wanted to mention that, while the music you've chosen is certainly unique and if I ever hear it again I will certainly think of your channel, I also wonder if it may not accurately set the stage for the body of your videos. I love the well-thpught-out and quality presentations that you give! Thank you for all your work and keeping it real. (My husband splits wood by hand, too, so I appreciate the effort that goes into that!)

      Thank you. The song is a nod to my dad as this was the bumper music for an AM station talk show that he listened to all the time. I genuinely wear these watching and put them through active use…and photograph after such use…sometimes the watches have nicks and micro scratches…so be it. Have a great weekend.

      @@Realidealgear Wow, that is really an amazing response! I love that it is a connection to your dad. What a great thing to do on an EDC channel. ❤️ Thanks for your quick response, and best of luck!

    Good video! I picked up the Zelos Aurora Field 42mm Ti Aventurine. Also own the Zelos Mako Hammered Orange, and the Zelos Hammerhead Full Lume. But the Aurora is on my wrist daily. Absolutely love this watch. Only thing missing in my opinion is a date complication. But I understand why it isn't there also. Would love to see Zelos do a day/date complication on a watch. Another thing I like about the watch is the fact I'm pretty sure there isn't another person in my state with my watch also. Makes its kinda special in my book. Also Zelos has GREAT customer service. On every order of mine I have emailed and requested to get #73 on any watch I buy from them. So far they have sent me #73/200 on every watch. How can you say anything bad about them with customer service like that. But I've also bought 17 Zelos watches directly from Zelos over the years. That could have something to do with it. But you CAN NOT go wrong with a Zelos...any of their watches.

      Date complications are VERY helpful! You are definitely a Zelos connoisseur...17 Zelos watches makes a great collection! Thanks for your input.

    What a fantastic dial! I see what you mean... The design language is a bit odd. Its a beautiful watch but it doesn't quite fit into a specific design style. Its sporty but dressy but it has hints of a field watch so it kind of struggles with what it wants to be. Those yellow dials are magnificent too! I don't like too much brushing on a watch and for a tool watch trying to be a dress watch while cosplaying as a sports watch it could have done with a bit of polish. 😅 Have a great weekend Tim!

      I agree, it didn't hit me until I had it in hand...and I was turned off to the conflict in design. The contrast in design may be someone else's cup 'o tea. There's no doubt this dial is unequaled.

    Not watch related, but is that a Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope in the picture? Another great review!

    • @Realidealgear
      @Realidealgear  Год назад +1

      Yes...your observation is IMPRESSIVE! I used to teach basic astronomy to middle schoolers and used that telescope for years. Great scope for closer and brighter objects.

    • @patricko9170
      @patricko9170 Год назад +1

      That is very cool! I used to do amateur astronomy until light pollution and satellites became so intrusive. I still have my scopes and with the coming Saturn opposition it might be a great time to use them again.

    • @Realidealgear
      @Realidealgear  Год назад

      What scopes do you use?

    • @patricko9170
      @patricko9170 Год назад +1

      I mainly use a Celestron C5 SCT, but have built, owned, and used everything from apochromatic refractors to a 12" Dobsonian.
      Deep sky visual observing used to be my favorite category to observe. A few memorable moments were visually detecting (and sketching) a supernova using a 60mm f/11.7 refractor, catching Stephan's Quintet in a Celestron C6, viewing the horse in the Horse Head Nebula (also with a C6), and glimpsing the M87 jet under 7th magnitude skies.
      I have found mounted binoculars under a dark sky far more enjoyable than any scope. If you have not tried that I highly recommend it.
      Now days I find a light and portable setup the best choice to take advantage of the rare observing opportunities; hence the C5. Unfortunately it is not the best at rapid acclimation, so 10x50 and 15x70 binoculars get more time.

    • @Realidealgear
      @Realidealgear  Год назад +1

      Nice scopes. I've always wanted a larger scope. I've a Meade 90 and it works great for SS and bright Messier objects. I had a pair of 10X50 binoculars and as you stated, they are a joy to use for many situations...lost them in a move. I still get goosebumps looking at Saturn, Jupiter and the Moon. The details, moons, and craters are incredible. Never gets old.

    If only the hour/minute hands were as legible as the seconds hand. For a field watch with a dark dial it needs white painted hands, not just white lume.
    Cheers Tim 👍

      Excellent point. Now that you mention it, it would help tone down the dressy feel of the dial. Have a great weekend.

    I like the look of this Watch, but I am not a great fan of Titanium. The feel of titanium does often not fit to its look, because it wears much lighter than you expect.
