One of the biggest things to remember is blend, blend and blend. When you have finished blending, blend some more. If you’re using a shimmer on the lid this obviously doesn’t apply. Just Pat a small amount on the lid with your finger or a flat brush. Just gently blend the edges of it into the matt shadows. Start with a shadow a couple of shades darker than your skin tone and a brush like the sigma e25 or morphe do one the same shape and it’s lovely. It will help with placement and blending. Hope this helps xx

I agree with everything, although I feel the concealer on the eyes do not work for everyone. Some people have very oily lids and even with setting it, oils will still come through. There are very inexpensive eye primers, elf has one . :)

A great video and your hair style looks fantastic today. I have just one comment - SPF should go over moisturizer (no matter if it's physical or chemical). There is a very small % of SPF filters creams which should go on your bare skin and it's always mentioned in their use instruction.
I am learning so much about applying make up for older women. I try to watch every video you make. Even the shorts. I watch the video about hair issues. I have a friend who has a big problem growing hair. How beautiful inside are you to expose yourself in order to help other women to know that they are not the only one who suffers with the same issue. You have to be a kind hearted person you are. I am pushing 60, and I love the Jane Iredale powder foundation because it doesn’t look like powder foundation at all. It lasts very well throughout the day. And yes Gabi please do part 2!
Gabi I just want to say congratulations on the way your channel is growing! Your personality is amazing! You really touch your viewers with how kind and genuinely caring you are! You’ve been so helpful to me these past few months! I was so depressed and just about lost all hope of ever regaining the use of my arms and hands again. It was hard enough to learn how to walk again after my stroke, then dealing with two arms and hands that were so weak, more pronounced on my dominant left side that I had given up hope. The morning of my last stroke I was getting dressed and ready to put on my makeup so I could go shopping. Next thing I knew I was on the floor and couldn’t get up or speak. To make a long story short, I started playing with my Ipad and my son who knew I loved makeup found your channel and put it on for me. Little by little it gave me the courage to want to get my hands and arms moving again. I started slowly doing activities of daily living and with much practice from watching your videos, I put on lipstick for the first time in months, it was quite a challenge and a little messy but I was crying happy tears! I can now put on an entire face of makeup minus eyeliner, thanks to your help! You are an expert artist, and a wonderful mentor and role model! I would love to see you do a video of the proper application of eyeshadow. All the dos and don’ts. Thank you Gaby from my heart, for helping me regain the strength and courage to go on with life. Yes!! I am 58 and watch videos that are by younger content creators. Soooo, they obviously wear makeup differently, use different techniques, and products. I have found some creaters that cator to middle age to older.

Well I just found my go to makeup channel! Yes I have made most of these mistakes, but what sold me was using a single square toilet paper for powdering the under eye. I even had to stop powdering my under eye because of creasing, but now im going to do this. Thank you!

Eyeshadow video please! I am a culprit of overdoing/thick eyeliner….if I don’t, I get told I look tired or have you been crying? I just need to try 3/4 of the lid. I stopped doing tight liner on the under eyes and just use shadow, much better. Thank You Gabi for all the tips!
She is GORGEOUS without a stitch of makeup on. And yes the X side is NO GOOD. I didn't even exaggerate it either...I have seen people do these things (and I have done them myself too which is incredibly embarrassing as a makeup artist) LOL.
The eyeshadow do’s and don’ts video is a great idea. Please do it! If I don’t use a lot of setting powder around the eyes, I get the worst mascara transfer imaginable no matter how good the mascara is. But too much powder will exaggerate the creases that sit in the inner corners of my eye, where my dark circles are. What I do now is apply a thicker coat of powder around the outer two thirds of my upper and lower lids, where I get mascara transfer, and apply it sparingly where I have my creases. I use a stippling motion when blending the powder. A really good finely milled setting powder is the one by Nikkia Joy. That’s my go-to. I have a question: why should chemical sunscreens be applied before and not after moisturizer but not mineral sunscreen? I use a moisture serum. Would my chemical sunscreen go on before or after that?
This is great! Thank you! I just tried fillers for the first time in my life. I just turned 62 this week. I have been stuck inside for the last six weeks.😢 I had a terrible reaction to the injections of juviderm and botox. 😢 Blisters all over my face and now after 6 weeks just big red bumps. I had never had acne in my life!!! I've been on a strong antibiotics. 🥺💔 Looks like I will have to get use to wrinkles. I will never do that again. Hopefully I can wear make-up soon. 1. Really need help with eye shadow. 2. And no matter how much I try my eye lashes don’t stick and lift up from the inside corners. 3. After I apply my serum, moisturizer and sunscreen and I have tried different products, my face doesn’t look smooth, instead starts getting blobs and cakey 😢

1. Really need help with eye shadow. 2. And no matter how much I try my eye lashes don’t stick and lift up from the inside corners. 3. After I apply my serum, moisturizer and sunscreen and I have tried different products, my face doesn’t look smooth, instead starts getting blobs and cakey 😢

Would love to see eyeshadow mistakes my eye makeup used to be gorgeous but as I’ve gotten older I notice the eyeliner drags because of how my eyes are now.. I have to position the liner up instead of out. Great tips!
Maybe use an older model for a mature look ?

A video highlighting common mistakes when applying eyeshadow would be great.
Would love to see an eyeshadow mistakes video, especially for a more mature or hooded eye. So hard to get right, especially with colour selection for different eye colours. Most people don’t take this into account at all.
