I’m very interested in watching the frame straightening process. Unlike a regular tech who diagnoses a problem, then fixes it, the fix here is not absolute. Here the tech has to know how far past the finished state to push. If someone tries this and doesn’t know what exactly to do, the end result will be much worse than the beginning. It’s very impressive to see how it’s done by someone with this much experience.
Seriously, people have no idea how much work you had to do just to get to day two. One of these days you should make a time-lapse video of the really hard work instead of just the fun stuff. People still wouldn't know but maybe have a better idea. You are a master of your trade, sir. Great videos.
The hardest job in body and frame work nobody sees until now . Thanks for sharing these videos they give some insight to what real work is about and the skills and knowledge needed to the job.
Baby that is a crazy awesome skill set you have. I so love your sense of humor too. An artist at work. Looking forward to watching thru all your videos
Cool to see that you realy try to fix/straight the trucks and give them sometimes more then the second life. Impressive work and awesome way to keep them rolling
The thing that a lot of people seem to miss is that it's not about having some specialized tool for each little thing, but about having some very basic items and knowing how to put them to work. I think the most specialized thing you use is the base of the frame machine, while the rest can be assembled by a clever enough person with more basic tools and a ton of determination. The biggest asset here is the operator
Your last sentence says it all. The most important tool is the man doing the work. Without his eye for the right way to push or pull none of this would happen
Great video. I'm a recent subscriber I liked everything I've seen on your channel so far. Especially with those little pointing fingers you have those things are awesome and the way you describe and explain the buckles and kinks and twists and all other weird things😂😂
When you have a man like this than can repair it, it's much more economical. Think about what they're charging for a brand new F-150 today; now dial that up 3000% to a big rig price tag and tell me repairing it isn't the better option.
So I come across some of your videos on face book and have decided to come see what it's all about as its very interesting stuff and would like to know more about it all and how the tooling actually work you sort of mentioned it at the end of the video
Well tell me something there Ben. When anybody straightens a bent steel frame, is it weaker afterwards to where it can’t pull as heavy loads? Tks man. New sub
Frame straightening is interesting to watch you do a great job. As a former fleet manager and truck owner I would not fix a buckled frame. It was never a good experience for us. If the frame buckles re rail it. Or scrap the truck. Insurance companies are always looking for a cheap way out.
Why do you say it was never a good experience? And where do you draw the line between bent and buckled? Also, Do you think frame straightening is an equal repair compared to re framing or rebuilding the truck?
Sounds like you had a bad experience and then use that to condemn all similar repairs. When you go to toys are us to get something like this fixed you deserve a shit job. I have repaired bent twisted frames in my shop and never had a single complaint. I also rebuild damaged and old rusted out trailer frames and bring them back better than new. Its almost impossible to change a single frame rail in a dump trailer. When they tip over people like you say scrap it. Then I come along and fix it and keeps on trucking. Have a good weekend
@@chriswoodward5368 if you hire the right people to fix the problem you will never know it was damaged. Many think that it will be weaker. That is not true even with a kink in the flange. The only time you compromise the strength is when some nit wit puts heat to it

A pro is a pro when one makes it look easy. However, I know this ain't easy. Great job Mr. B.

This is a great video! I really like the longer in depth videos like this of what you do to these trucks to straighten them out!
Use to work at medleys frame shop in the 90's. Killer videos. I Remer doing all this stuff. Good times
really enjoyed this.....from a former Volvo Trucks corporate guy.......cheers, Paul
You do all this by yourself..very hard physical work and mental gyrations. 😮 good America has you.
You were right. You are bending it back into straight!
LOLOL the close-captioning system of RUclips thought he said, "Bonobos" instead of "Volvos" and put that in the subtitles.
So much time involved to repair what happened in seconds. 👍
MAD SKILLS PARTNER !!!!
Mad respect! So nice to see those well used tools working their magic.
With the right tools and equipment anything is possible. Had no idea how shops did this.
Most shops don’t do this

Well there's your problem! Ain't got no gas in it!
Funny how a wreck that took about 10 seconds to happen can take that many hours 2 repair rock on brother 👍
Abit like how some dishes can take hours to prepare but can be eaten in just a few min
It’s hard to believe the weak spot in the frame with 16 half inch bolt holes in one square foot of frame rail! 😂

This work is definitely a science
Enjoyed the Video. You do some Great work.
It seems to me that it doesn’t matter what bent up crap you get, you have the knowledge, experience, and equipment to make it happen.
Bendon you sir are a metal workin artist, nice work
So 😎 looks like the hardest part is finding Square. Then forcing it into square.
Great episode, keep it up Devin
Good stuff.
Hammer Time!

Much respect for what you do, but my question is, you would think the insurance would just total the truck out.

I like the logo 🆒
You are a fucking wizard with your skills
You don't bend frames you manipulate frames back to the factory location.
1:21, oh how I know that feeling at work
Absolutely Awesome!
Your bendin’ frames vids are the best. You and bill drink coffee for an hour while them frames sit on pressure?
Master of ur craft mate. Big respect from Australia mate 👊
Great work
Bendn with Benden , unbenden frame rails

My Respect ,
Please do shorts on semis vs trains
You guys ever heat the frame rails to help straightening the frame? Or would that compromise the steel with all that pressure?
Replace the frame rails otherwise this truck is not fixable and is going to eat tires.

What happens when they start using spaghetti for the frames on these big rigs.
After big damage on a tractor like this , is the frames integrity compromised?
get bent ! lol
Do you ever say it's too much, can't be fixed?

Chiropractor for big truck.
Ever have a frame that you just couldn't straighten because it was too big? Double or even triple frame?
Yes it has happened. But we have done frames on cranes and double frames.
@@bendinwithbendon it happened once. You don't hear about it, because that truck disappeared ....lol
