Someone actually playtested this mod where stone can't even overhang by one-block without collapsing, making digging a tunnel without it caving in completely impossible and said "You know what, this is fine. Working as intended."
Stone is literally the one block that should be able to form an overhang, because it's a solid that can be chipped away. Grass and dirt, no. But stone, granite, etc. are all just fine in real life being dug into. And in real life you can dig into a foundation to repair it without remaking the whole building. But Minecraft gravity mods assume all blocks are the same consistency and density as irl dirt. Wood would not break into splinters if you knock it down, a wood roof can be repaired by taking a board off and putting a new one on. Only times a roof would cave in and collapse is if it was too long and too open with no support inside(like wall or pillar support).
This version of Minecraft looks exactly like a 2000s era open-world RPG. Took me a moment, but I'm pretty sure I saw Kevin's house's architectural style in Two Worlds or Gothic 3. :D
