Specifically, I remember being in a hospital and waiting near the hospital bed playing Minecraft on my phone. My mom was due to give birth, and so after school we would go straight there to visit her. My brother and I would play Minecraft as we wait. And eventually she gave birth to my youngest brother (whom is 9 now, almost 10). Now I'm on college myself, trying to get my Masters in Architecture. Minecraft inspired a bit of my Major choice btw, lol.

This is the version of Minecraft I started out with, and mentally I cannot escape this era of the game. Even in the newest updates: all of my houses are blocky and made of oak wood, I never talk to villagers, and half the time I'm searching for ores by digging in random directions. Maybe make an incredibly simple redstone door on occasion. Besides that I know nothing about the zany youtuber tricks people talk about. If you try to talk to me about the iron-manning dream you built with your s.m.p bed bombs, I have no idea what your talking about and I probably used those terms incorrectly.
I haven't played Minecraft in years. I played with hunger and stuff, not quite the alpha, but I swear I remember the inventory being I like other games since Inventory starts with I, because E for inventory just sounds stupid haha. I just build basic houses and stuff, and now there's rabbits and llamas and shields and villagers that actually do more and other weird stuff I'm not used to. And they recently changed iron to little chunks or something instead of ingots. I'm just old at heart and used to the old Minecraft 😂

I honestly miss older versions of Minecraft. Just little things though; no hunger system, no chewing, no sprinting, no obnoxious creatures, and no pillagers. I remember in the early days of Minecraft I made a cobblestone castle with water flowing from and overhang all the way around, flowing into cacti. The only entrance was underwater. It was absolutely impregnable and a good source of mob loot since they all died to the cacti. Ah memories.

I constantly was lost in caves (and still fear it), the "i" for inventory is still engraved within me, it took me ages to learn to sprint (2017??), I HATED grass when it was added and always remove it, and the "oof" sound took me back!!! Jeez, what a throwback.
IIRC the game at this point saved player data and world data separately. So when the game crashed at 3:05 the player data was saved but the world data remained from before the chest was made at 2:38.
yeah I remember back in the day that everything jumped, was hilarious to see and play. Some people even had a Zombie spawner to make an Underground rave party with the Zombies, keeps you wheezing all day through.
The very first version of Minecraft I ever played was 1.0.15 so this video was very nostalgic to me. It was a lot more fun when you weren't forced to use the bed all the time. During the day you went out exploring and once the sun went down you either stayed outside and killed monsters or went indoors to focus on crafting or building. It just felt more cozy and immersive.
I still remember my first minecraft world vividly. Wish I could get the seed to generate it again... Back in my day we had to use a glitch to boost our minecarts. It would fling you down the track at extreme speeds. Sometimes even in the right direction!
