This worked perfectly! I was able to just listen to you and perform this at the same time. You have saved me so much time going from my pc to laptop! Got yourself a sub! Thank you
Great video, really helped me out. Bear in mind (someone mentions this below) if one of your machines is Win11, do this also, it won't work without. Right click n/w icon on desktop and go into n/w and internet settings. Go into advanced network settings, then advanced sharing settings. Expand private networks and turn on discovery and sharing, should work now.
Thank you so much, buddy. I have a music studio and ive been struggling with sending large music files from a laptop to my new work pc. This video solved my problem in 5 minutes. Thanks again! Simple and accurate video.
Yeah, this video solved my problem in few minutes. I applied all the same steps and now everything works seamlessly. Good stuff. I subscribed to this guy just out of principle, its the least i can do.
This worked, but it required an extra step as of Windows 10 22H2, going to a Windows 11 system, as of March 2023. You may not need it, but you may. I had to go to the All Networks dropdown in the Network and Sharing Center, and turn everything to Yes. I also enabled media streaming in this menu, but that may not have been necessary. I also have to do this every time I reboot the PC. BUT, it works. Thank you sir.
In Windows Home editions Secpol.msc is not preinstalled, you can find the script on the internet and it will install it on home editions of windows, if you can’t find it I can sent you a link
You are likely running Win10 Home rather than Win10 Pro. It's a simple fix tho just Google "add Group Policy Editor to Windows 10 Home with PowerShell"
This really worked! Thank you so much. I have a windows 7 machine that I still use and I have a new windows 11 pro machine. I needed to link the two together to share video and audio files. This video made it happen. Great video!
Great video. Thank you very much for sharing. This is exactly what I was looking for in sharing files between the laptop and a computer with a lot of copying back and forth
Does this work if I am already connected to Internet using a LAN cable? And if I change the IP Address and other things, do my internet still work after I have done transferring files?
@@gimmee94 If you are on LAN and the other computer is on the same network, you can skip all the parts and just make sure your network type is set to Private. Then in the file explorer menu whatever folder you wanna share you can just right click and follow the instructions given in the video. If not, just check your File and Printer sharing option under "Advance Nertwork Sharing Options" in control panel. Hope you get this.
There are smart people on UTUBE and non smart ... This dude explains it in detail with his voice, unlike others who are PURE LaZY and no voice with ridiculous background music. Thx DUDE... You definitely have the skills to teach ! 😁👍🏻👍🏻
Dear Sir, Heartily Thank you for your detailed video. is Cross LAN Cable required or normal LAN Cable required for connecting between 2 Windows 10 Laptops..? It would be great helpful if you answered early as possible. Thank you Sir. Basavaraj.
Very understandable, but in my second pc, secpol.msc is not found...what do I do sir? Also, after the programming on the first computer, I could not find second computer on the network tap of the first computer? Please
08:07 I have same Microsoft account logged in both laptops, so that's my login account. But when I am writing that credentials. It's says wrong user name or password. What should I do. I tried pin and password. Still not working
I'm still learning about different networks. So with this Peer to Peer (P2P) type of setup where each LAN ethernet interfaces are connected, are you still able to connect to the internet via wifi?
I tried this and it worked, but when I took lan cable out of router and plugged into laptop for downloading a file, the laptop showed 'No internet' inspite of internet being available. I had to reset the adapter to use wired connection from my router again.
Great video. Question, when using multiple computers such as 4 and using a router, would the IP address be the same on all of the other 3 computer? Or would you change the last number like .1 than .2 than .3

@@thamerjawad4967 Most newer computers in the last 8 years or so, auto sense the cables, so no cross over needed
I learnt Java from his RUclips channel 4 years ago, and now I'm a pro Android developer. I'm glad to say he was my starting point. Thanks alot man!

Can I use internet normally after doing this??? Or I need to change my settings back to default
Thx my guy
Sir do I have to change everything back once im done or can I just leave it like that?
I'm still learning about different networks. So with this Peer to Peer (P2P) type of setup where each LAN ethernet interfaces are connected, are you still able to connect to the internet via wifi?
What LAN cable you're using Straight through or crossover cable?
My daughter used a crossover which I made for her.
Most computers in the last 6 years or so,, auto sense the cables, so you don't need a cross-over.
Is there a huge difference if I want to connect win 11 laptop to win 10 desktop?
HI, Thanks for the video- If anyone is reading this, how do you get the PC back to using Internet set up? Do everything in reverse?
is it possible to use remote desktop to connect each computer?
I tried this and it worked, but when I took lan cable out of router and plugged into laptop for downloading a file, the laptop showed 'No internet' inspite of internet being available. I had to reset the adapter to use wired connection from my router again.
Great video. Question, when using multiple computers such as 4 and using a router, would the IP address be the same on all of the other 3 computer? Or would you change the last number like .1 than .2 than .3
yes, every ip adress needs to be unique. in the past three weeks you probably found this out yourself …
