    What would be your best flatly lure for around weeds & other top surface lures

    • @ChasingFish
      @ChasingFish  2 года назад +1

      Around weed I love using a weedless rigged un weighted soft plastic like 5 inch or bigger paddle tail. Will be in the next video that gets posted.
      Other surface lures would be big sugar pen or crossfire.

      Chasing Fish they are really good. Great for bream and they worked well on bass. MMD also produce soft prawns. A bit small to be a gun flathead lure but they are the bomb on bream. Out-fish my eco-gears and cranka crabs and that’s not easy to do.

    • @UpliftfFishing

      Chasing Fish I chuck on assist hooks on the back and take off the middle double hooks usually ! Iv also chucked on a x2 owner treble and cut off one of the hooks with pliers and works just as fine (if that makes sense)

    Do you have any tips on choosing a colour of soft plastic for flathead?The water I fish in is clear blue water and is about 3 metres.I was looking at the baby bass colour and wakasagi from the baitjunkie 3.2 inch minnow, would that be good?

    • @ChasingFish
      @ChasingFish  2 года назад

      Yeah they would be great for the clear water. We find they don't mind bright colours either like pink, if water is dirty we love the motor oil though since down here in Vic a lot of the water is dirty most of the time

    How do you find the slams vs the dunks . I have both, but haven't tried the slams yet , been using dunks for years and generally tie them on . It's a confidence thing lol

    • @ChasingFish
      @ChasingFish  4 года назад +1

      Honestly love them, and for the price I've been preferring to buy the slams. But totally understand with the confidence thing haha often takes me until I catch first fish on a lure to believe it actually works. After using a lot of hurricane lures recently they are becoming my favourite brand of lure to use just seem to catch fish. Well worth a crack but ya can't go wrong with the dunks, ripper lures for so many types of fishing

    • @troyj9347
      @troyj9347 4 года назад +1

      @@ChasingFish I have been using the power dunks on snapper for 5-6 years. They absolutely kick ass on shallow water snapper. The price of the slams is hard to beat . Maybe next trip I will leave the dunks at home.

    Atomic slim twitchers 125mm 145mm in silver wolf, muddy prawn, pilchard and silver glitter
    Duo realis tide minnow 125-sinking
    Chartreuse yellow colour
    P.S Upgrade the hooks straight away as they will get destroyed if you hook a bigger model fish
    Zman 5" curly tails, 3" minnowz
    Bassday sugapens 120mm C264, HF119, C394.
