rad kid it’s the diet and sweating of the dancer, I had horrid acne until I started dancing again. When your body is sweating to cool you down it’s also expelling toxins in the top layer of skin and also extra oils and sebum . So when you take a shower at night and rinse the sweat off getting clean and fresh your body basically cleaning itself

Work as much as you can, whenever you can, talk with your teacher about it, and prioritize ballet above everything else (partying, school trips, social media...). During holidays try to find any class available and if not possible, work on your own. Always write down your most important corrections.

I don't know if anyone will ever see this, but is it possible for me to become a professional? I started dancing last fall when I was 12, but Covid-19 happened, so I only got half a year of classes. I am not on pointe and probably won't be for another year at the least. My studio is also not a... I don't know what words to use... It isn't really somewhere you would go if you want to become a professional, but my family can't afford anything else and it'll be hard to pay for pointe if I ever am allowed by the teachers to take the class. And, classes are only once a week for one hour. So... I guess now that I think about it, I probably will never be able to become a professional no matter how much it hurts to say it, because I love ballet SO MUCH and can't see myself doing anything else with my life😢😭

@Rylee Weaver, Darcey Bussell didn’t start ballet until she was 13, and struggled with it in the beginning. Maybe you could contact some dance companies and see if they have any advice - scholarships etc. You obviously have passion - I’m sure something could be worked out, and there are always online tutorials. Don’t give up - you can do it!
