So if you wanted to watch that, be warned that it is indeed messy, as everyone's first RUclips video is! But I still think it's funny and entertaining anyway!

The part with the Stegosauruses reminded me of a funny story.
There's a The Far Side comic that has a group of cavemen looking at a picture of a Stegosaurus on a cave wall. One of the cavemen has a stick and points to the spikey part at the end of the tail and says:
"Now this end is called the Thagomizer...after the late Thag Simmons."
Anyway, paleontologists had no official name for the spikey end of a stegosaurus' tail and were fans of The Far Side and loved that one.
So "thagomizer" is now the official name for it.

I liked this movie. As usual, Ian Malcolm had all the best lines. My favorite was on the pier near the end where he leans over to Hammond's nephew and says " _Now_ you're John Hammond".
The Stegosaurs were probably somewhat bigger in this movie than they were in real life and their tail muscles wouldn't have allowed them to twist their tail around to send their spikes down through a log. Also, Sarah was supposed to be some great big animal expert, but she didn't know not to get between a baby and her mother? And then she walked through the jungle wearing a jacket soaked in the baby T-rex's blood? After she told the group that the T-rex would continue to track them if they perceived a threat to their baby?
Jack Horner is a paleontologist who subscribed to the theory that T-rex was a scavenger, rather than a predator. He was an advisor on the JP movies. The character Robert Burke in this film was based on Horner's adversary, paleontologist Robert Bakker. Spielberg had Burke's death written into the script as a favor to Horner. Bakker later said he liked to scene because it supported his T-Rex-as-predator belief.
The third movie wasn't as good, but it does have Sam Neil returning as Dr. Alan Grant. And you've come this far, so you might as well finish the trilogy.

The only one that I sort of like in the end from InGen is Roland Tembo played by the legend that is Pete Postlethwaite. Mainly because he realised how wrong he was because his Friend died because of his obsession and he got out while he could.
Not only that but he showed concern for Sarah as he thought she was injured and when he went to search for Dieter after he went missing he said for the little girl to be protected by not telling her what happened because he has a moral code that he uphelds and is known to defend women as he picked a fight with someone before the events of the film who was harassing a waitress. He is also not considered a poacher as he wouldn't shoot the female unless absolutely necessary as he is a traditional hunter.
Unfortunately as Pete Postlethwaite past away in 2011 it is likely the character will never return.

I've been watching the Jurassic Park/World series since I was a kid, and it's always fun to see ppl watching it for the first time. On a side note, ppl thought Roland was the one to break the baby rex's leg. In reality, there is a deleted scene, and a picture floating around somewhere about it: Roland caught the baby, and had it tied down but didn't break its leg. Ludlow, Hammond's nephew was celebrating the success of capturing the animals, and was drunk as he fell on the baby and snapped its leg. That's why at the end the baby was growling at him because it remembered Ludlow.

The first dinosaurs to make an appearance in this film were Procompsagnauthii ("Compies" for short), which were both first and last to appear in the first novel, but were left out of the first film because who wants to bore the audience silly with 10 minutes of (a) how to pronounce their name, and (b) why they're dangerous despite being less large than your average Chihuahua. (They're venomous. Their bite doesn't inject a lot of venom, but they travel in swarms. It builds up after a couple dozen little nips. The bad news is, you are alive when they start to eat you. The good news is that you'll be fully anesthetized by then.)
Hiding from T-Rex. Dr. Grant was right that a Tyrannosaur's vision is based on movement. But he was wrong, too, because, like dogs and other modern animals, their primary sense, is of smell. So all the camo in the world won't make you safe from the wrath of T-Rex after you take pot shots at him with an elephant gun.
Movie #3 is a lot more intelligent with regards to dumb choices. People do make dumb choices, of course, but eventually they do learn from them, which is what we want in a decent story: Character growth.

Actually there is some change in outcome. Though we don't know after the first movie, this reveals that InGen kept the island a secret and destroyed Ian's reputation as he broke the non-disclosure agreement. So by the end, Ian's reputation is restored as now people know dinosaurs exist (yeah, when a T-Rex gets lose and kills a bunch of civilians) though InGen wanted to open a dinosaur zoo on the main-land, so Ian's reputation would have been restored anyway.
But yeah, now it's public knowledge that dinosaurs have been brought back to life, so by movie ends with the island now being a preserve that's restricted to the public. Let's just hope people do try doing anything stupid, like opening up an illegal business that sneaks tourist close to the island past the coast guard to go parasailing . . .

    2 Things about this movie.
    1. In the beginning of the movie after the little girl gets attacked and her mom screams there was a scene that was cut which is where Hammond's nephew was holding an InGen board meeting and he states that she is fine but her family is suing. He also talks about how many lawsuits there were from the first incident plus gags orders from a lot of the workers that weren't even attacked etc. the version you were watching was the theater version. That scene is only in the directors cut or extended version.
    2. The crew on the ship that was bringing the T-Rex were all killed by Raptors cause they had brought the baby T-Rex over on a separate ship, so it was already at the new park. There was going to be a scene shot that showed Raptors getting on board and attacking and killing the crew but they never got around to it or just didn't have the time/money.

Fun Fact: the tent scene, those were real tears and fear that child actress showed. She even looked right at the camera ans crew behind the camera. According to one of many documentaries and movie commentaries for the film, it was revealed they didn't tell the actress what was going to go down nor the animatronic that was going to be used

Many things from the original book that didn't make it into the first movie end up in the sequels. The waterfall scene with the T-rex being one of them. In the book, it's Lex and Timmy behind the waterfall and the T-rex actually wraps its tongue around Timmy's head and starts dragging him into its mouth.
Fortunately that's when Muldoon's tranquilizer dart finally takes effect after he shot the T-rex an hour beforehand.

Jurassic Park 3’s original script was thrown out 6 weeks before filming. They had to write an entire movie in 6 weeks, failed, and were left in a situation where they would write a scene and then immediately film it afterwards. Just prepare yourself... mentally...
It’s nothing more than a popcorn flick about as substantial as a billionaire losing a single penny. It’s fine if that’s what you’re ready for... I wasn’t. Two things I heard they debunked about the dinosaurs from these movies: 1) T-rex vision is NOT based on movement. With side facing eyes, it did affect their sight somewhat, but would not make you invisible to stand perfectly still. 2) The stegosaurus, when they first arrive on the island, did have spikes on their tail, but would not have used them in the manner they did in the movie.

This movie has 2 of my favorite character actors, Peter Stormare (asshole who tazed the tiny dino) and Pete Postlethwaite (the hunter). They make everything better when they show up.
The movie was primarily made as a way for Speilberg's new company Dreamworks to have a solid start. No one involved was really... "into" it? Wasn't a passion project or anything, just set out to make a fun blockbuster that would earn a chunk of money. And it shows lol
The third is just more of the same type of thing. Watch people get eaten by dinosaurs. It's fine to watch, but if you didn't... eh. lol

They still take place on the same island, and they share a few plot beats, but where the skeleton of the first movie and book were almost beat for beat with the finer details mixed around, this time around there’s not much in common at all.
