100% agree. Also, it´s a front mid engine car. These vehicles are about fun, not numbers. Can´t really make a bad choice between them, yet i´d choose that ND3. NA, manual.. Both of them are future classics
Ended up getting the GR86 after having a Saturn Sky for about 10 years. The Miata just seemed like a newer modernized version of the Miata with a higher price. So far, I like the GR86 as far as practicality as a daily driver. More trunk space. Back seat space if you need to bring something around. Just all around a little better from that stand point.
I have a 22 RF GT. It's a very solid car. Handles well but does have a lot of body roll... Very stable at eighty miles per hour on the interstate. I personally do not compare them with the 86 as to me They are totally different vehicles, But I understand why people do. For me it's two vehicles in one. Is a nice little sporty coupe, But when I open the roof it feels like a totally different car. That's not to say that it changes any of the dynamics of the car once I open the roof.. It just feels like I have a second car. It's that same feeling when you put something new on your car and it makes your car feel all new again. Every time I open my roof I feel like I have a new car all over again. The gift that keeps on giving LO.L.
Thanks for sharing! Both are very fun and nimble cars! Driving them back to back at the tail of the dragon seemed nearly identical, but the top down experience is definitely fun!
Reference @7:10 2016-2018 ND1 has 6800 rpm (red marks on tach starts half way between "6" and "7". Shows solid red between "7" and "8". 2019 and up have 7500 rpm (red marks on tach starts half way between "7" and "8", is solid red from "7 and half" to "8".
@@BrosFOURRSpeed if it’s a 2022 (ND2) I would go Miata, because it’s lighter, has a better shifter, better interior, better mileage and is a convertible. The advantage of the 86 is cargo room and back seats even though they are tiny. It’s also a little cheaper but it’s not enough to offset all of the Miata’s advantages.
Nope, I made a video about that. It’s a much smaller problem then people think. A few cars were affected and everyone thinks it’s every car. It was small issue when the car came out. But that was all fixed.
Hello. Have you had RTV issues? I plan on getting the Trueno Edition BUT reconsidering it due the the RTV issues I’ve been seeing the Company have not resolved
That’s been resolved. It was only in the first year models. I’ve had zero issues. People have blown it up for no reason. Yes it was an issue, but from what I’ve seen has been fixed for awhile.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed on its own it does look like a casual sports car. next to the miata tho the hard/sharp angles and hexagon grill make the miata look more tamed and preferable for me. the gr86 does look nice af tho now that im looking at it again
I mean both are completely different. One is a go-kart convertible the other one is more of a plus size for extra spaces but nonetheless both are fun to own 😎
You can't lose by picking either car. I would pick the Miata just because the convertible is another dimension of fun with the top down.
Yeah both offer quite a lot of fun for the money!

@@antoniolopez2322 Yeah definitely a good weight balance on these!
If i have ever have a family of my own in the future i would 100% sale my Nd3Club for the Gr86 or GR Corolla 🙃
These two cars are a gem in the sports car community. Fun and affordable!
Oh yeah! Very fun for sure!
If u like to mod and tune the GR86 would be better choice but miata is just pure fun
Yeah I can see that

The GR86 can fit all 4 tires in the car when you need to swap summer/winter tires.
OH cool. 86 is a fun car for sure! And plenty useable
Miata = go-kart 😂

Actually the Miatas' red line is 7500
Not 6800 as you stated!
I was looking right at the tach when I said that lol, it’s not that high.

ND3 if you dont own a ND yet
@BrosFOURRSpeed is this the HBI Auto in Mocksville, NC?
Yup! Nice selection of cars here!

Miata for me❤
Sweet!

Weekend/Second/Rental = MX-5, Only car = GR86. Unless you're very small, and don't need to move anything more than a backpack/duffle bag
Yeah I could see that
Just look at the used market. Most brz and 86 have motor issues. Miatas are still running all generations but they do suffer from rust
You have listing to show they have engine problems??
Rust is also a regional issue, not based on the car..
GR86❤ feels safer on the rd and the performance is better in every way 😊 bigger inside wider and doesn’t bob around the corners like the Mazda.
Yeah the extra space is pretty nice
Gr86 brz have fugly rear end
That's subjective..
GR86 looks too try hard
How so? It's nothing really outlandish. Just a nice little sports car

That’s not for everyone. I’d rather buy items that appreciate and you can actually use, but everyone has a preference.
