I have never made a granny square. Now I have so many reasons to give them a try. All of the blankets are beautiful!

I love the double-strand look. The marbling effect is really fun, and especially with blankets, scarfs, and the like it makes the final product really warm! Plus, like you said, it'll burn through leftovers like crazy.

I made the double strand with Jayda In Stitches! I used bright red to join & border it. It's my favourite blanket. It reminds me of the big bowl of Christmas Candy my Gramma used to have out every Christmas. All those multi-coloured rock candies! 🍬 ❤ 🍬
I can't choose a favorite! Sunburst and Prima Vera are gorgeous, but so are the others ❤🎉

You inspired me to make a small dog blanket with the double strands method. It ain't pretty but it used up some yarns I will never use otherwisen

To keep on the granny square train there are a couple other things you can make out of them that seem to be on trend.
Clothing like skirts, shorts, and pants as well as cardigans and tops.
Different styles of bags like sling bags or the two handle tote kind.
Or accesories like scarfs, fingerless gloves, and maybe even hats.
Hope any of those ideas give some inspiration 😊
