When comparing budget vs luxury crochet hooks, a $1 crochet hook offers basic functionality for beginners or those on a tight budget. But will a $26 hook provide a better ergonomic design and smoother metal for more experienced crafters?

As an engineer and one who crochets, this video was right up my alley! And now I have mathematical data to prove why I should treat myself with one of those new streamlined metal hooks 😂
Be real! It's a Friday. The weather is nice. The sky is blue, and the grass is green. Any excuse to get new crochet tools will do in my book, lol!
You have the proof so now you have to!!! 🧶🧶🧶
🤣🤣🤣
You HAVE to now. In the name of science! 🤓👍🏽🧶
Girl, I bought one and I'm hooked 😩. It's like butter.
Yay! Love this! My hubs came in & GEEKED OUT…”we’re measuring roughness again?! Restart the video, please.”…lol. Geeks in this household. ☺️🫶🏻🧶
Haha!!! I'm so glad you and your husband enjoyed it!! 🧶🧶🧶
Lmao! I love that!❤
Elise! I just showed this to my engineer husband (in a ploy to not get frowned at when I buy some Streamline hooks 😉). He immediately said ‘oh yeah, I watch that guy all the time for motor and oil advice!’
I’m spinning out at our worlds colliding - me watching you for crochet, and my husband watching your husband for oil and motor stuff!
Can we get your hubby to compare the smoothness of all the big brands? I would love to know where my beloved Etimos fall on that scale
That would be so fun to see.
Agree! 🎉
I will get him on it!! 🧶🧶🧶
As someone who likes to use polyester yarn I need a smooth hook.
I'm in for my clover Amores'
"Stay Stayyyy--That's a naughty hook." I have a lot of naughty hooks. They go missing even when I am sitting in one place. Now where are my glasses? Oh--they're on my head!" LOL
Lol!!! I lose everything!!! Drives my family nuts!!! 🤣🤣🤣
That tendency to roll added a tendency to break convinced me to end my fascination with Furl Hooks.
The technical approach to analyzing these hooks was really interesting!! It's nice to know that there is a very real difference in quality that you are paying for with these more expensive hooks, yet the more budget friendly hooks are really not that bad at all and you are not losing much functionality really!
Glad you enjoyed it! 🧶🧶🧶
Loved seeing you and your husband working together. The family that works together stays together 🤗🧶
Thank you!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I recently purchased an aluminum Furls Streamline hook and I really like it. Thanks for the surface testing data! It’s very cool to actually see proof that the Furls hook has less friction and thus easier on our hands! I can show this video to my hubs and he will now understand why I need to spend $26 on a crochet hook!
Haha!! All the proof you need!!! 🧶🧶🧶
I just bought the silver Furls, as well, and loved it so much that I bought another one! I really like the weight of it!!
I would love to try it but I mainly use 1.75mm hook. They don't do hooks this small 😫
@@sabrinamiscenko9380 darn!!!
I’d be interested to see results for the Furls “blush” metal streamline hook. I think it’d be rougher than the silver one.
I have grown to love your videos. You inspired me to pick up my knitting needles again and expand my knitting skills. You make learning about my favorite crafts very digestible and fun.
Thank you so very much for your kind words! 🧶🧶🧶
Yay, hubby and the profilometer are back! This is gonna be fun and interesting!
I hope you enjoy it! 🔬
Amazing! I always enjoy seeing the scientific side of crafting. Thanks so much for doing this experiment it was so fun! Y’all have a lovely weekend☀️
Thank you!!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend too! 🧶🧶🧶
I truly LOVE it when hubby brings out the tools. I'm a science girlie who crafts so this ticks all the boxes for me. 😍
Thank you and your husband for doing these tests and sharing the results. That new Furls hook is almost too pretty to use. 🙂
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!! I enjoy the science behind it too! 🧶🧶🧶
I just want to add that just because a hook has some drag to it, it does not mean it is a bad hook. I like to use my wooden hooks (more drag) for very slick, smooth yarns like Simply Soft. I have found that the wooden hooks hold on to the yarn better and thus give you more control. The opposite is true as well. If you have a very rough feeling yarn (some of the older acrylics) it makes it so much easier to work with if you have a very slick hook. I have all kinds of hooks and I tend to stick with my Clover Amour. After this video, I may have to try the Furls. Thanks.
That's very true. Very smooth metal is my favorite, but I also love my wooden Furls hook for blanket making! 🧶🧶🧶
Definitely relate to that for knitting! I'll take my wooden needles over metal ones any day!
I’ve been watching you for a while and you are so inspiring to me. Your channel us such a comfort channel for me and watching y ou just makes me so happy ❤😊
Awwww! That is the highest compliment! Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Elise! You’re my favorite RUclipsr. Your the best! ❤ great job!
Awww! Thank you so much! 🧶🧶🧶
My husband just gifted one of the new aluminum hooks for my birthday! And my zodiac resin hook too. He works with metal on a daily basis and is impressed how smooth, well balanced and overall nice the hook is. It is heavier than i am used, never had a Odyssey so the weight difference between my furls resin and wood hooks to the aluminum is quite big, but it fits so well into the hand and i am amazed that my wrist don´t get tired earlier than normal although it weighs more. Just such good craftmanship!
I learned with cheap hooks, and when i teach someone how to crochet i always use those cheap hooks from woolworth, they are totally fine. No one needs to spend that much money, but if someone can it is very nice because the overall quality is just so much better.
Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
this comment is quite irrelevant to the video, but i love watching your videos, i find them so calming and i love to just have them on in the background while i crochet! you are quite literally my go-to crochet youtuber! ❤
Awww! Thank you so very much! 🧶🧶🧶
Thanks to you and your husband i bought these furls crochet hooks and they are THE best I've ever crochet with, garment or amigurumi. These are my faves. Thank you so much ❤
I love your videos about the Dollar Tree products because my very first crochet hook a few years ago was one of these Dollar Tree ones! Such a great way to start on my crochet journey!
It really is a great starter hook!! 🧶🧶🧶
ENJOY YOUR CHANNEL YOU DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO , WHEN YOU WANT TO DO IT.❤
I love nerdy videos. This was fantastic! And your hubs is so sweet and charming. The two of you are so great together ❤️ thanks for this fun and informative video!
Thank you so much!! ❤️❤️❤️
After seeing your review, I got my own streamline metal, 6.5mm. It just came today, and after using it for an hour, I can't wait to buy more sizes. It practically does the crocheting for you. I couldn't be happier!🎉🎉🎉
Elise, a little suggestion. For me, when I’ve gotten a new metal hook, (and I do have a couple of the dollar tree hooks) when I start to try them out and I feel that they have some “drag” I now keep a fairly rough little old hand towel with my crochet stuff and I rub the hook with the towel and that seems to do the trick. I’m sure there’s many others out there who’ve learned this little trick through trial and error. Lol. Keep up the wonderful work you do.
Thanks so much for the tip! 🧶🧶🧶
So far one of my favourite videos ever! This was so entertaining and informative. I may just have to treat myself to a Furls metal one now. Thank you so much. My husband also enjoyed listening in the background as he also has a very technical/scientific mind.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! 🧶🧶🧶
This video touched a place in my math/crochet heart!!! Thank you!!!!❤❤
Awww! I'm so glad!! 🧶🧶🧶
I had no idea what hook to buy and can't spend willy-nilly trying to figure it out. So THANK YOU for the helpful information you always share.
Oh my goodness, I'm so excited! I saved my pennies and finally bought two Streamline Metal Furls hooks and I can't believe how amazing they feel!! They are a definite game changer for my hand. Great recommendation, you're the best!!🙂
I had to get the streamline metal ones this past week. I love them! Thank you!
Your husband is adorable. He has a great smile! Thanks for another great video.
Awww! Thank you! ❤️
I just bought the Onyx furls whole set and now I’m even more excited to hold them in my hands
I find the science behind my craft fascinating. The two episodes featuring the doohickey machine are amongst my favourites. This is such a unique approach to the craft. Thank you.
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed both videos! ❤️❤️❤️
I LOVE that hubby came back for another science test! Furls are not in my budget, "naughty hook", but I might have to splurge on just one one day. Great video, Elise!
Thank you so much!! ❤️
I really enjoy your videos including husband abilities with the scan. I saw other video on hooks, but wonder if you did clover. Guess I will go look. I use 7mm plastic clover hook, it is so smooth. Thanks for your insight to our crochet community
Thank you so much!! ❤️
I think they tested a Clover Amour hook on the video they made about The Woobles kit a while ago...
I love the resin streamlines. I wasn’t expecting it to be as smooth as it is, but they glide! And all the colors 😍😍😍 I wish that the metal streamlines were a bit lighter because the Odessa is heavy on my wrist, but I get why it is heavier. I loved seeing your husband get his big brain energy on! 😂
Thank you so much for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
So happy to see someone review the new Furls. I splurged & got it when they first came out last year. I paid WAY MORE up here in Canada. I feel like a 👸 when I use this hook! I love how it warms up in my hand, and they nailed it with respect to balance & ergonomics. I'm a big fan of Furls now. Worth every penny.
I completely agree!! 🧶🧶🧶
@@EliseRoseCrochet 🎶👸🎵🧶🎶🧶👸
Thanks for the review! I am sitting here wondering about buying it….
@judipierry549 If you like a weighted hook, then don't hesitate. I'm thrilled with mine!👍🧶👍
Hey lovely! Early today normally don’t see till a few hours. Loved watching the last time hubby used his tool was fab
Thank you so much!! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for the objectivity on furls. I absolutely love the streamline metal furls. Biggest difference is how it glides through the yarn. As much time as I spend crocheting to me the cost is worth it . 🎉
You had me sold! Thank you and your hubby for this fun test!
I loved the science in this video! I've never seen anyone measure in micro inches before and definitely didn't know what a profilometer was before. Now to find the previous video...
It's the Woobles video! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! 🧶🧶🧶
That new hook looks dreamy! & the yarn too! Keep the videos coming. Love your content🎉😊
Thank you so much!! ❤️❤️❤️
I love the scientific approach! So interesting. Love all the videos and always look forward to see what you highlight. Have a great week as well!🤗
Thank you! You too! ❤️
This is so delightfully nerdy. I love it. ❤
I feel like as soon as you realized you could test these you grabbed every hook you own to compare. I know I would!
I have tried several different hooks and always go back to my old fashioned Susan Bates aluminum hooks. I stopped trying to find the center pull a long time ago and got myself a yarn butler, which I absolutely love.
Thanks so much for sharing! The best hooks are the ones that work for you! 🧶🧶🧶
Very informative and scientific video!!! Thank you!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! ❤️❤️❤️
If they haven't already... I see a Furls care package in your future 🤗 I'm sure they appreciate this!
🤣🤣🤣
I did not plan on wanting a $26 hook today 😭 But I do love when you and your husband team up, y'all are so cute together that I'm willing to buy the hook 😂
I have 2 of the Furls hook. They have increased my productivity tremendously and reduced the pain in my shoulders.
Thanks so much for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
These videos are so cool! As a new crocheter, seeing a single hook for $26 doesn’t make much sense but, seeing the quality difference is helpful! Next comparing video should be the Yarniss hooks and the Clover Amour! I use the Yarniss hooks and really enjoy them. Have been wondering if the Clover ones are worth it!
We tested the Clover hooks in this video: ruclips.net/video/S6d0q43BWS0/видео.htmlsi=tJmAcJBX40teXk6U I agree as a beginner you don't need to invest in something that expensive unless you just want them. The Clover Amour are fantastic hooks! 🧶🧶🧶
Elise, I want to start off by saying I mean you no disrespect in any way. You are such a joy and inspiration to me, you were the first crochet content creator I started watching and have been watching you for 2 years now.💕 I understand what you’ve been doing recently with your videos and they seem to be working really well for you, but I personally miss seeing you crochet, seeing you go about your daily life and what you’ve been up to. I respect that you need to have a variety of content and these kinds of videos are good for getting new ones to watch. Just letting you know that the reason I keep watching is for your bright personality, and I love vlogs about your recent projects and your life. But I understand you have to do what you have to do for your business, and I’ll keep watching!🥰🩵✨
Thank you so much for sharing your ideas in such a kind way. ❤️ I would love to do more videos like that but I don't get a lot of views, which makes me think not many people enjoy them. I will have to throw some vlogs in there from time to time. My life is pretty mundane so I never think anyone would want to see those videos! ☺️
@@EliseRoseCrochet 🩵
@@EliseRoseCrochet I also love normal life videos about the creators that I watch and I know it’s a pain but maybe another channel? I bet there’s a lot of us out there that would really love it.❤
@@EliseRoseCrochetI’ll admit I love your unique approach to crochet product testing. As, a curious self proclaimed nerd, the use of objective testing speaks to me. I also love when your hubby joins you on camera. ❤❤❤❤
I agree. My absolute favorite video is blogging a crochet make. , but love all your content
Your channel is so amazing! keep up the good work! ❤
Thank you so much! ☺️
It was great fun watching you both trying out the smoothness of the hooks that I know I will never get in India! But I was amazed at the new Furls' smoothness! Just WOW!😮
It really was pretty incredible!! 🧶🧶🧶
So glad for a video dedicated to your husband measuring the smoothness of hooks! I agree with some other commenters that I’d love to see the comparison of some of the other popular brands. Especially the large Clover plastic hooks. I’d love a large metal hook, but Clover doesn’t make them, and I love my regular Clover hooks, so I use their big plastic ones.
Thanks for the suggestions!! 🧶🧶🧶
I do love when you get scientific with those hooks!!! love it when your husband joins the channel, you make a great team!
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! ❤️❤️❤️
I love the little “science experiment” 😁 I’d love to see how the Furls metal hooks compare to Clover hooks. I love how smooth the Clover hooks are, but the skinny and short handles make my hands cramp up.
Thanks for the suggestion! 🧶🧶🧶
I love my furls metal. Only have 1 so far…6.5mm. But the larger ones I feel would be excellent for those projects with heavier weight yarn. It is soooo smooth. ❤ no chance of breaking. 😏
But I see the benefit if having other hooks for sure. Especially if just learning it on the go! Interesting video!! 👏👏👏
Thanks so much for sharing!! It is soooooo smooth! 🧶🧶🧶
Good Afternoon Elise.
I love your RUclips channel. I learned how to crochet when I was about six or seven. I was taught using a Boyd Crochet Hook. I hadn’t crocheted in many years, but started to crochet again about 15 years ago. I’d heard a lot of talk regarding the Clover Crochet Hooks and purchased a set. I was addicted to Clover Crochet Hooks. I had never heard of the Furls Brand until they were discontinuing the Odyssey Crochet Hooks. I purchased every size that cost me a fortune. When the Furls Silver Streamline Crochet Hooks came out I purchased the entire set & I took a chance. Well IMO! The Furls Siver Streamline Crochet Hooks are by far the Absolute Best Crochet Hooks that I have ever used. When Furls came out with the new black streamline hook I also purchased the entire set. They look very similar to the original silver hooks, but IMO they aren’t even close. Now Furls came out with a bronze color crochet hook. I only purchased one to see if I like them. The Silver Streamline IMO are by far the absolute Best Crochet Hooks that I have ever used. I wrote this in the middle of your video so IDK how the video ends.
Have a Great Day
They are fantastic hooks!!! Thank you for sharing your experience!! 🧶🧶🧶
That was fun.. I enjoyed the video, Thx Elise 😊
Glad you enjoyed it! ❤️
Thank you for the scientific proof 😊I absolutely love working with my Furls Streamline metal and odyssey hooks❤
They are amazing hooks! 🧶🧶🧶
I found this video very interesting. I feel like it validated my thoughts on my hooks. I have two wooden Furls (love the long handles.) I like to use the wooden Furls with slippery yarn and my metal hooks with wool blends that tend to catch. Now I have to get that Cadillac of hooks. Thanks for scientific analysis.
Hi Elise and right now I am working working my cottage core mosaic blanket and granny squares blanket and butterfly mosaic blanket and a baby blanket and I love your channel and your videos and if you keep making videos I will keep watching them and what is your favorite crochet project to work on right now and favorite types of yarn to used when crocheting and keep up the great work on your RUclips channel and keep up the great work on your crochet projects
Thank you so much, Samantha! I'm working on a secret new amigurumi design! I'm in the early stages and it's for Christmas!! 🎄 can't wait to share more! ❤️
I just got one of the onyx streamlines. It is beautiful and is super smooth. I’m sold on the metal streamlines. I stopped buying Furls because of breakage. The odyssey’s were my favorites until they started to break and the resin streamlines are pretty but fragile and wood streamlines are pretty too, but too much drag. Metal has always been my favorite hook material.
I am so impressed with the Streamline Metal. I just wish it came in smaller sizes! 🧶🧶🧶
@@EliseRoseCrochet Me too! I have a 3.5 mm silver BUT I've really got my eyes peeled for that 3.5 mm Onyx!!! 🤩
I purchased a streamline metal hook and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT
It is an amazing hook!!! 🧶🧶🧶
This is a wicked helpful video. I was debating about getting the furls hook. Knowing it's weight alone helped make my choice. Great video!!❤
I'm so glad it was helpful! 🧶🧶
Hello lovely Elise and Hubby, great video, really interesting. I have no expensive pretty hooks as yet just cheap ones like the dollar tree ones, some plain metal cheapies and plastic hooks. I re-started crochet a bit over a year ago and thought when I get better at this I'll get better hooks but then just did not bother.😂 I am used to my cheapie hooks, actually I love them. I also only use budget yarn. Or yarn on sale.🤭 I must b easy pleased. Or I just do not know what I am missing out on with good quality hooks and yarn !??🤭 Love and prayers to u both.💗💗💗🙏🙏🙏🧶🧶🧶
Thank you so much!! 🧶🧶🧶
Thank you so much for your interesting video. When I've had a hook that dragged I would polish it up to help get rid of the roughness. It really helps. I'd love to see what difference it makes in the measurement. ❤
Yay! So glad you saw our comments to bring Mr. Science back to test the hooks (and I mean that in the most complimentary way!).
Haha!!! He's such a good sport and I'll bring him back again!! 🧶🧶🧶
Love seeing your hubby on your channel!
Thank you!! ❤️
Loved this video. It was really interesting. I'd love to see this with more hooks.
We did test some other hooks in the Woobles video I did a few months ago. But I want to test more hooks soon!! 🧶🧶🧶
Thanks for the video - lots of fun.
Glad you enjoyed it ❤️
Hello Elise! I'm a big fan!
Hello!! Thank you!!! ❤️❤️❤️
❤ I requested this in the last video your brilliant husband was in! I'm so excited! THANK YOU!
I'm so glad!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Love when your husband is on. My dad was an aeronautical engineer. I am my father’s daughter although I did get my artistic chops from my mom
What a wonderful combination! 🧶🧶🧶
Love the comparison of all the hooks. I have wanted one of those metal streamline Furls hooks since I seen them come out still haven’t got one, but I’m going to soon hopefully. They are beautiful!! 💙
Glad you enjoyed the video! 🧶🧶🧶
I love that you do comparison tests of hooks and yarns. It really helps in the decision making process of what is best to buy, and helps save money on making mistakes as well as enjoying the best quality results. I hope to try out the Furls Odyssey hooks some day. I'm wondering, have you or anyone out there ever tried the Pioneer Woman crochet hooks sold at Walmart. They are very pretty, but sometimes pretty can be misleading. Thank you for all your wonderful videos and the work you put into them.
Those are on my list to try!!!! 🧶🧶🧶
Such an interest content! I love the comparison with that fancy tool hahaha so amazing
Thank you so much! 🧶🧶🧶
Because who doesn’t need a good doohickey?? It’s so fun to watch you with hubby - you make such an adorable couple 😊
I want a Furls so bad, but I wish they would make 2.5 or 2.75, as I do much more Amigurumi than other crochet. Did Furls gift the yarn?
I wish they did as well! I typically use a 2.5 mm hook as well. And yes! They gifted them! 🧶🧶🧶
Thanks Elise. This was very interesting! ❤️
Glad you enjoyed it! ❤️❤️❤️
Just to throw in another factor... I find that if it's "too smooth" that i lose control of the glide and the stitch quality suffers.... as they say.. different strokes for different folks
That's a good point! If you love ultra smooth hooks, it's amazing! 🧶🧶🧶
Your crochet work is impeccable. Have enjoyed your videos on hacks, amigurumi, support of others makers, etc. Came away from this video feeling like it was more of an endorsement for Furls than anything else. Maybe I would have felt a little differently if you had not brought out their yarn. I am glad the Dollar Store hook was good because that is what some can only afford. I have 3 Furls hooks and very rarely use them. I am subscribed and will continue to watch.
I try not to cram too many things in one video but I thought I would share the yarn in case folks were interested in it. 🧶🧶🧶
Elise, I believe the original Streamline Metal hook was released in 2022 before Furls lost their manufacturer of the Odyssey line. I don’t believe they were ever meant to replace the Odysseys. They were simply meant to be a new line of hooks.
Thanks for sharing that information! 🧶🧶🧶
I like shorter hooks like the dollar tree and Hobby Lobby with the flowers leaves on them. They don't hurt my hand over time. I like tapered handle.
I love my Furls Odyssey!!
Me too!! 🧶🧶🧶
Dear Elise,
Thank you for sharing and I’m glad your husband brought his profilometer to test the new Furls hook - it will definitely be interesting to see if there is a difference between the new silver, onyx and blush Aluminium Furls hook.
Is there a huge difference between the odyssey and the new aluminium when crocheting 🧶 I would love to know if you found any difference between them.
Love your channel.
Take care and stay safe. God’s Blessings to you and your family 🩷🧶🙏🏽😻🐶
That would be interesting to test as well!! 🧶🧶🧶
I have to say... part of what I love about wood is that it is warm... as in not cool to the touch. Because I'm a nerd, I would love to test different types (species) of wood to see if there are differences in the "resonances" or patterns of the roughness. My intuitive way of knowing would hazard a guess that some people (especially neurodivergent people) are sensitive to the "pattern" of roughness -- spiky differences vs uniform differences.
(I'm sitting in a room with a really loud HVAC blower -- because that's what every doctor wants for their call room -- a 72 dB continuous fan blowing in the place where they're supposed to be able to get a brief amount of sleep while on call for the weekend), so I didn't hear exactly what your husband said, but visually the pattern looked much more regularly undulating on the wood.
And... there's my pager!
Now that would be an interesting test! Thank you for the suggestion! And I hope you get some rest!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I love these soooo much it fills my nerdy science soul and my creative soul all at the same time 🥰 and then i go check out my Dollar trees to see if I can find these products 😂.
Haha!! Wonderful!! So glad you enjoyed it! 🧶🧶🧶
I love this video! Thank you!
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️
I started with cheaper hooks and they served their purpose as a new crocheter. I was learning and not as invested in the hobby. Over time I bought better hooks. Then I decided to try Furls. Started with resin, then wood, then OMG Odyssey ♥ ♥. When Streamline came out I treated myself to one and they are amazing. I now have a few and am very happy. Next week is my birthday and my daughter ordered the new Streamline Metal Blush. I am excited because I have no idea how many are coming. Wander yarn is sweet! The stitch definition is great!
Treat yourself as you grow in the hobby!
Thank you for sharing!! And Happy Birthday!!! 🎈
This was a fun one, thank you for getting your husband to do the test on the hooks!
That was interesting. I have Tulip and Clover Amour that I use and Furls that just sit in a display case.
Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
Thank you for always being so entertaining. I would like to have one of those girls hooks but afraid they will go like the other one did. Have a great day! ❤
I believe they fixed the issues that the Odyssey hooks had with this new redesign. But so far only time will tell! 🧶🧶
Elise, I absolutely love your reviews of various crochet items. Ive been using the cheap ergonomic hooks for years, and have made some beautiful things. Would love to try some of the more pricey hooks, but so far, I havent invested. Maybe this furls streamline will get me to invest.
They really are the Ferrari of crochet hooks. I find that people either love them or that they aren't their cup of tea! 🫖
I love these videos, I love my furls the onyx are beautiful ❤
They are gorgeous hooks! 🧶🧶🧶
😱
Amazing...
I watched a crochet video and found this very entertaining.
YARN BARF....LOL 😆
You two seem like a great duo.👍
These tests are fun.
I think the essential issue is the crafter's preference.
Weight can be a factor for crafters with muscle issues (arthritis etc.).
Hand size is a factor.
Ergonomics is the critical issue for some.
For me, inline design, weight, and length are vital factors.
Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧶
My Husband would get a hoot out of testing the crochet hooks. He is an Engineer and previously an Engine Reconditioner. He uses his 'tool-cutter grinder' to reshape the worn ends of my knitting needles for me 😊
That is awesome!! 👏 Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
I bought some Furls Streamline Metal hooks because I had been waiting for them to reappear. They are my favorite hooks. The Onyx ones are fabulous!
Oooh!! I'll have to try that one! 🧶🧶🧶
Great analysis on smoothness. I also appreciate seeing the new Furls in the hand. It is long! I’m waiting for a Furls Libra 🤞 hope it comes out this year. If that hook works for me it would be great.
It is the longest hook I own!! It's fantastic! 🧶🧶🧶
thank you for comparing it to the odyssey hooks. sometimes the weight is too heavy for some projects, but i love the stitch definition
Glad you enjoyed it! 🧶🧶🧶
Well! I found a deal on the Clover Amour 10 piece set. Yoykies! I thought my $14.99 set with their floral handles and matching tote were good enough. Well, these are amazing! And even as a beginner I can see how they’ll make me better at crochet!
I'm curious how the Furls Streamline wood hook compares to Nelsonwood hooks. Nelsonwood hooks are quite pricey, but you get to customize it and they turn out extremely beautiful.
Oooh! I haven't heard of those hooks before!!! I'll have to check them out! Thanks for sharing!! ❤️❤️❤️
