Growing up, Reggie Miller was easily my 2nd favorite player to watch behind Michael Jordan. Before Ray Allen and Steph Curry, Reggie Miller was the prototype for 3-point sniper shooting and frankly, he did it against much tougher odds than either Allen or Curry. Allen eventually got to be part of a superteam in the '08 Celtics and Curry has always had Klay Thompson on his side. Imagine Miller having a SECOND sniper to help pick him up during the 90s. Everytime he would finally conquer one huge playoff obstacle, there was always one waiting that was just to hard to overcome. Finally beats the Knicks in '95, then has to contend with a young powerhouse Magic team in the ECF. Finally gets to the NBA Finals in '00, then has to deal with a Lakers squad with 2 future HOFers and in the conversation of Top 10 all-time players and both coached by the greatest NBA coach ever. And this is all ignoring he had the impossible task of trying to dethrone Jordan's Bulls in the 90s. Miller unfortunately played in an unlucky era.
For anyone questioning his worthiness remember he played during a time when some of the greatest players, and certainly some of the biggest dynasties were in the NBA. His career started during the beginning of MJ's and the Bulls prime and ended with Shaq/Kobe dynasties. You put Reggie on the Lakers, or Bulls and he's a household name. He took a below average team to the playoffs. His numbers aren't as stellar as you'd think until you realize his percentage was unbelievably high, he just didn't take as many shots as the bigger named guys.
Hated him when he played against the Bulls but, In my opinion the greatest Pacer of all time, had the chance to go back to his hometown or pulling a KD and going to my Bulls, but he stayed loyal from beginning to end. Him and Ray will always be my favorite 3 point shooters
The best thing about the Hall of Fame are the speeches, the stories behind every player. Reggie Miller was a likable oponent, I wish he would have won a ring.
Great Hall-of-Fame Speech. Very heartfelt. I'm very glad that Reggie acknowledged all the players and teams that he played with and for. As often, I have greater respect for these great individuals who were great players in their time. I love basketball. And even more, I love listening to these greats speaking at the Hall-of-Fame inductions.

Ahaha Reggie telling it how it is. I love it how he roasted MJ a bit. But he is just reaffirming what so many greats are so good at ... the tricks of the trade.

That be a tall ass Obama
Kombucha Man yea let's just have unwanted children be born
Reggie having his attending teammates stand up for an applause is just pure class. I don’t enjoy anyone more than I enjoy hearing Reggie’s voice commentating an NBA game.
Love Reggie he was a good role model and mr pacer which is a dream to be like him
"To Greg Anothony, yeah, I pushed" lol
This is about as close as you can get to a perfect speech...
some knicks fans thumbed down the video...hahaha
i don't think the real 90's knick fans would. only these millennials who don't know anything.
I've been a knicks fan since the late 80's! I have nothing but respect for him! I love this game👍
@@worthlessmutts9598 👍👍👍
Thanos okay boomer
Reggie should at least have one ring...he made off the ball play cool. He taught niggas how to move around without the ball, and how to wear your opponent out...shit that people don't think about.
Christopher Miller That is the truth right there!. Even at 34 years old I have kids half my age who hate guarding me because they know they gotta run. They know I'm gonna run in circles until they either get tired or run into a screen. I learnt that when I was 17 from Reggie Miller.
Nice speech. I really like Reggie Miller and he tells good stories.
I never noticed it before but Reggie looks and reminds me of President Obama.
It runs in the family. I watched Cheryl's enshrinement speech first and thought the same haha
The completion and those ears
