Thanks...good info. I'm semi-comfortable with midi, but I was curious how hard this was to program from the Pacer itself, and your video and your socks help give a good idea. Again, thanks!
Great vid...But this Pacer and its manual is a bit confusing especially for an (Old) novice like me... but I need to figure out how to program the Pacer in the new Logic Pro X and program my switches to do live recording/ looping/ playback. Your vid has helped and given me hope but I still need to see how(and if) it can work with Logic. Thanks Andy!
The Pacer is a simple tool - it sends midi commands of any type that you specify. Difficult to program yes but I have videos that help with that. You should be able to anything you want to with Logic. Good luck!
Nice informative video thanks Andy. I've ordered the pacer to use in a very simple way. Just to trigger 4 separate samples from my roland sp404sx. Is this gonna be possible..can you explain how I do it if you have time pls. Many thanks
Thanks for the video, one silly question tho... when u assigned switch 6 to midi note 120 and then pressed it, it had commands attached to it (3:42). So that means if u play that note "120" on any another random midi keyboard is not gonna be a sound but a command? why would you want that? ..thanks again!
@@alwaysandy_ Man you sent that right in the nick of time! I’m sitting here messing around with it right now. Got it to go through things but can’t set it up to learn stuff so I will be contacting you through your email probably tomorrow. I really really really appreciate you getting back to me as this thing will make you pull your hair out. 😂✌🏼
@@alwaysandy_ Thanks! Actually, it's my own carelessness. On checking the picture of the Pacer, there is no Midi In 5-pin (perhaps via USB) but I was hoping one can daisy chain the Pacer, but unfortunately not :)
Nice vid, just wondering, is there any way in which you could program the switches to play a specific chord from a virtual instrument inside any DAW? Like using it for background harmonies switchable by foot in real time during a guitar solo performance in a live situation for example? Thnx
Yes and no. You have to think of the pacer button like a midi keyboard key. Pretty much the same thing. So if you want to play chords with single notes you’ll have to program your virtual instrument to behave that way.
Absolutely you can. Since one button can be configured to send out multiple messages at one time you can easily set this up in advance. First you need to go in and change to footswitch to ALL (other options are SEq and ESS) Then go through and select how many steps you want to use (1-6) depending on how many notes you want in your chord Then go through each step you selected and set them to midi note (midi note toggle can be used if you want the chord to hold after releasing the footswitch) Then set all the midi notes you want to transmit and you're good to go. You could program in a bunch of chords this way. Ignore the other answer as it's not 100% correct (I know it's from the creator of the vid, but not everyone knows everything :)

Just bought a Pacer. VERY HELPFUL to get me going! Thanks for making this great video!

Yeah the user manual is very confusing. It’s a very well made pedalboard but the programming is a nightmare to figure out. Thanks for going over it.
Thanks man

Should work. Couldn’t tell you how tho I don’t know the spx.

No it’s no problematic. These are control functions not note functions. Just set your midi devices properly ie note vs control.
GREAT video thank you! Can MIDI channel be assigned to each switch?
I’d assume yes. Haven’t tried tho.
@@alwaysandy_ Thanks. Indeed it can. Found that after posting here, just sharing back in case anyone has the same question.
Good clues, still trying to get it to work with Amplitube 5. Any advice would help, thanks. ✌🏼

Thank you for the video. Is there a setting to merge Midi In to Out on the Pacer ?
Thanks. Not that I’m aware of. 🤔

Hi can you change footswitch behaviour from a single press to say double click or hold???
Not to my knowledge

Does anyone know how to assign midi to scroll up and down, and side to side on Ableton. like the computer keyboard arrows?
Up and down is easy as there’s controls to learn. Side to side not so much. You’ll need a midi to keystroke app and they tend to suck. Good luck.
@@alwaysandy_ Thanks, the computer keyboard in ableton is golden, but not very cool, i guess.
hi dude ! do you know if it's possible to modify the sensibility of the buttons?
No I haven’t a sensitivity setting.
can I use it with fl studio mobile?
If it can use basic midi controllers it can. I don’t know specifically
Hi! Peacer works on Mac M1?
Probably. Ask Nektar tho. 🤘
