- This is a variation of Davie McPhails Humongous wooly bugger. If you would like to see the original tie, you can go to his youtube channel!

Tail: Silver lateral scale, black marabou
Body: Black sparkle braid (size small), Medium palmer chanille, pearl.
Collar: Black Schlappen
Thread: UTC 210, white
Love your interpretation and esp your use of that chenille over the sparkle braid. Gave me an "ah-ha" moment for some smallie builds. Thanks for sharing. Thoroughly enjoy your presentation style.
Thanks Rob! It was definitely a fun tie! Hope to hear some more people ask for something new, i had never heard of the humongous until someone sent the link.
I’m really enjoying you channel. After getting burned out on fly fishing and tying ( have more flys, than I will ever use), I’ve gone back to conventional gear. Missing my vice and bobbin, I have dug everything out again and jigs are a great substitute for traditional flys. Keep up the good work. Make more, more & more!!!!!
I really appreciate it! Im getting to the point where i do have alot of stuff that may not touch water for a while as well lol but tying is an endless craft that I enjoy doing, even if the tie may collect some dust :)
I think it was me. It's a u.k fly that works well in reservoirs and lakes over on the other side of the pond. So Davie wasn't the inventor but it is poplar in scottland where he lives.
Black marabou with silver or gold on top of the tail.
Body- tinsel chenille in silver or gold
Grizzly hackle plamerd though the chenille and ribed with silver or gold wire.
Your jig is a good and am sure will catch fish
Awesome! If you think of another, let me know! It was a lot of fun. Im sure some purists would gasp, but its all in good fun!
I like how you put your spin on the jig. I believe the fish would say the same. Be blessed. My friend.
Thank you! Was wondering if this would be seen as a travesty but I just went with it!
