@@MrWeatherman My sweetheart lives right at or within the Popo National Park and sees the Popo Volcano and the nearby "White Woman" Mountain Range/Volcano which is Popo's Girlfriend. It's a beautiful love story!! The Mountain Range looks like a White Woman laying down and it is said that Popo is waiting for his Girlfriend to wake up. My sweetheart says that Popo did explode, but it was not too mean or nasty. There is ash coming down however he said. He sent me a photo in the last week or so where Popo was covered in snow. It is a beautiful Volcano!! Just sharing.

But, with so much going on in the world, there hasn't been much discussion, that I have heard, of what do millions of people do to avoid the dangers of an eruption? Has it not gotten to that point? But, what about the ash? Some friends in the area, I expect to hear about soon, and I am assuming they are going to leave-and soon. But, it is a lot to give up home, family and work-but it certainly looks like all need to be cautious.

Nice and sunny here in Florida. One thing I may add about volcanic ash in the atmosphere. Not only can the ash affect weather, it is a hazard to aircraft, having the potential to severely damage aircraft engines. In 1989 a commercial airliner flew through an ash cloud from the Mount Redoubt volcano in Alaska. The ash shut down all of the airplane's engines. The pilot was fortunately able to restart the engines and landed the plane safely in Anchorage but the plane dropped 14,000 feet before the engines restarted.
