It warms my heart seeing you with your baby! You reminded me of what it was like sewing with my kids when they were little. I didn't know that they remembered being on my lap while sewing, but recently I pulled out one of my old quilts, and my teenage son commented and asked if that was the quilt I was working on while he sat in my lap. I was baffled that he remembered! He was only a toddler then and was fascinated by the sewing machine. In his mind, he thought we made the quilt together because he was in my lap.
That is so sweet!!! I found out when I was like 10 that my baby blanket was made by a family friend and it was so nice I thought it was store made. It was a precious moments panel, pattern on the back and lace trim. side funny thing my mom had to buy dolls for their doll clothing bc they didn't have premie cloths that would fit me and she didn't have a spare second to sew.
My first time here and love your teaching style! Your working as you talk, not talking , talking then seeing a little and then talking , talking. I love your talking but you are sewing at the same! You did a beautiful job and we can see exactly what your doing!! Love seeing your baby! Reminds me when I would sew with 3 little ones at my feet and sitting behind me in the chair!🥰! I did what ever it took to sew!!
Excellent video tutorial Lauren. You have a beautiful little baby there and it was so nice to see you with her. There seems to be a load of trolls around at the minute who are sad people looking for attention. Don’t let them get to you. Xx
I love watching your videos. It’s heart warming watching you with Dorothy. Thank you for giving us glimpses of her. This video shows real mom life. Thank you and keep up the great work you do.
Thanks for a great video, I really don’t know how you manage it all and stay so chilled. Lovely to hear Dorothy giving you her advice on the bag, she is just adorable xxx
Thanks for great tutorial. I’ve been sewing on a Flaire off/on all day with you. Finished mine after 10 pm too! It as fun. You saved my tush when you checked that both front/back exteriors were the same size. I didn’t think of that. Thank heaven you did!! Thank you. Due to large zip my front was off by 1/4”! Trimmed it. No sweat. Turned out fine. Thanks again! I’ve learned so much from watching you.
You are so smart and so talented. I would love to get where you are in sewing but I have a long way to go. I do mostly quilts and quilting but trying to see more and more. Bags are my favorite but you are awesome !
Awww how sweet is your baby, adorable. My daughter also had a baby girl two months before you did :) I can imagine how much energy they need, and how much joy they add to one's life. You are going to be a great mom :)
I just got my order from you yesterday and I got some of those "you look pretty today" labels. I'm going to put them on some Beauty Makeup Bags by Sewn Ideas. I figured we all need that especially while we are putting on makeup. Thanks for all you do to teach us and give us the confidence to make more bags... Just because you make it look so easy 😊
Oh my goodness Dorothy is absolutely beautiful just like her mummy... X love this bag too... I'm new to sewing but made 3 triple zipper bags for Christmas presents and the minimalist wallets... So thank you for those tutorials x
Lauren, I just wanted to comment on how talented you are! Your talent is insane! I love how inclusive you are of your daughter too she is so cute! Your such a natural. Your bag is amazing I’m thinking about buying this pattern too
The work you do is soo amazing! Couldn't leave without leaving a comment! I feel inspired to make this bag. I'm here after the clear vinyl toiletry bag which went great and I'm only a beginner! Love watching you work, along with glimpses of Dorothy and your cat 😍😍 thank you so much for sharing these with us! Much love ❤
This was a wonderful tutorial as they all are especially making it with a small beautiful child. Who need their mommy when they need their mommy and all us mommy know and understand this Babies wait for no one !!!!! Keep sewing
You are so awesome thank you so much for every one of your tutorials. I especially enjoyed the baby break. When ever I get a new pattern or I’m thinking of one I always come over to see if you have done it. I really like how you kinda give the express version. You seriously rock. Ty😍
Great vid, Lauren! Thank you for including link to patt. Been wanting it; kept forgetting. Lol. Loved hearing baby Dorothy Rose in background. Adorable 🥰
You're amazing!!! I always ruin my nails when turning the bag! Watching you, I felt like I was trying to pat my head and rub my stomach at the same time!!! Great job. I think I have to try this bag since many of my customers like this size and type! Thanks. I don't know how you do this and be a mommy at the same time. Dorothy is adorable.
I feel your pain. I have 5 kids. It took me 2 weeks to complete 1 bag. As hard as it is to complete things - try to enjoy it! They grow up way to fast. My oldest is 13 - youngest is 13 months. The bag is awesome! Ignore the trolls or haters or try to look at it differently - they are bringing more comments to you - both good and bad everything helps get your creativity to world. Can't please everyone.
Lauren, thanks for the tutorial. Made this bag before & used the "hidden connector" by Lavender & lace (I think that's her name). Also used in the Dolly mini bag.
So I have made this bag. Love the style - Hate the top zipper. This type of top zipper installation is always a fail for me. Any thoughts on changing this up to add a zipper panel? I have thought about doing a magnetic snap top too.
Thank you so much for doing this tutorial I just purchase this pattern. Watching you construct this bag was a true delight. Do you have a suggestion on how to top stitch in the end if your machine can not handle the layers? I am a new sewer and I have the brother xm2701 machine. Thank you in advance
Is the material expensive I would like to recreate a pure I had as a kid, you know if you could buy some plastic C clamps they could help you out a lot
Going to buy this pattern and make it with your modifications. Love hearing your assistant every now and then on the background.😂😂❤️❤️ I don’t think you have had that fabric available yet? Will it be? Spring edition maybe? Pretty please? 🤪🤪 Looking forward to make this bag. Thank you for posting video! I know your assistant probably keeps you really busy. ❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗
So sweet that you shared Dorothy ❣️ as a gramma that doesn’t get to see her granddaughters with the crazy world today I really appreciate it ❣️ Also silly question but i wanna see your garbage can and your floor after you sew 🧵🤔 wondering if it’s as messy as mine 😂🇨🇦❤️
@@LaurenMormino Thanks Lauren I was looking for the kind of foam used, too! Thank you so much for sharing Dorothy Rose with us, enjoy watching her grow, and she is doing that WELL! Thanks great video and pattern, looking forward to getting it done!
omg I LOVE the D ring double sided tape mini tutorial. id be fiddling with it forever with clips. I appreciate your recommendation to do 1/3 2/3. That is very 🤓 smart. Ive been watching your videos but im honestly to nervous to make bags. also really I dont have the supplies lol but I just adore your videos. it is true art!!!!!! ps your baby is a sweetie and you can ready tell how much you love her- love the sweet looks you give her 💕 💖 💗
The brief moment with Dorothy❤️😭. Quick question, how do you get seam allowances so perfectly even with long lengths? No seam guides or anything! Asking for a friend 😁
I notice that when you sew a zipper to vinyl or canvas, you don’t switch to a zipper foot. What kind of foot are you using that you don’t have to change the pressure foot? You may have mentioned before, but I’m new to you channel and was wondering.
@@LaurenMormino Ok. I have a domestic (Janome) and it has a walking foot however, it’s a bit wide, so I have to switch to a zipper foot. Thanks. I love this bag and I’m thinking seriously about making it with Quilting cotton and using Ultra Heat-n-Bond. Do you think this will give me a well-structured bag?
Marie Clark, if you don't mind me answering your question...Lauren used Pellon single sided fusible foam, she made mention, I don't know if she sells it though. happy sewing!

Wow you are so clever.
Loved the video.
Nice bag. I’m going to attempt it!
Dorothy is finding her voice - lovely.
Hi if you want to add a zip panel how wide will you make it on each side.
Do you do any training
Great video thank you Lauren. May I ask what type of foam you used? I checked information in your website and foam was not mentioned. Thanks

muy lindo el bolso y tu bebe esta hermoso

So cute ☺️
I wish I hadn't used the foam in my first make of this pattern on the main pieces.
Could you add a recessed zipper? My husband is watching football so I'm trying to stay entertained!!! LOL.
Absolutely you could?

Do I hear Dorothy? Sweet ❤️
Dorothy is helping mommy
Amei o gato😍
I made one for my daughter and making one for me
Mathematically not possible to make a box stitch without going over somewhere you already went!
My daughter just turned 55 and one of my fondest memories is of her sleeping on my shoulder while I sewed a dress to wear to work the next day.
It’s a good tutorial but I being a newbee would like to see the pieces of the bag with more than a very brief note about it.
Good to note! I appreciate your feedback so I can improve my channel! 💙💙💙
Look at that sweet baby!
