Today we set out to see if there is any truth to Gaziantep's culinary reputation.
In our opinion Turkish food isn't the best but Gaziantep does have some decent food for sure amongst the overhyped rubbish 🇹🇷

Whatever you are smoking up there, you should cut it for your own good, because you are seriously intoxicated and you absolutely make no sense. Can you tell us exactly at what period of history Gaziantep was a Kurdish city? Or, which Kurdish Empire took control of Gaziantep and ruled it? We, both know your answer, because you are lying, and you have now answer to these questions. Even today, Kurds are minority in Gaziantep. If they were not, HDP or DEM or their predecessors could have won at least one election in Antep during the last 40 years. The region has been under Turkish control for more than thousand years through Seljuks, Zengis, Mamluks, Ottomans, and Turkish Republic finally. Kurds are one of the ethnic groups in the region like Arabs, Assyrians, Armenians, Keldanis, Yazidis...Like these ethnic groups Kurds were citizens of these Turkish states and empires. Before Turks, the region was ruled by Arab empires like Umayyads and Abbasids. Before that it was ruled by Roman and Eastern Roman Empire. And before that it was ruled by Persian, Mesopotamian empires, Hittites and Urartus.
You don't know even the most basic things about the history of the region. For example, the names of most of the cities in the region are Arabic, Syriac, Aramaic. For example, Edesa is not a Kurdish name it is an Assyrian name. Antep or Ayn-tab is neither Kurdish nor Turkish it is Aramaic/Arabic.

Hi Elis & Alicia, I believed both of you doing very well in Turkey. This video interesting to watch and informative regard Turkish cuisine culture. It's good for culinary studies especially been recognised by UNESCO. You showed many food from different countries, I reckon you both should change profession now become Foods Critic hahahahaha. Thanks guys, be safe, keep exploring. 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍
lahmacun kebab and all of these are Kurdish food. All the dishes in Northern Kurdistan where you travel and which are made to beg by tourists like you to be Turkish food today are all Kurdish dishes.
Thanks for watching as always my friend 🙏
Many different people claim these foods to be theirs, what makes you so certain you are the only person correct? Most of these foods in the next videos are Turkish
If something that recognise by UNESCO, usually it originally from where it come. If this isn't Turkey, so than im wrong, maybe you right. For example Turkish coffee are not original from Turkey but it from Yemen. Btw, this episode Intresting to watch especially to see all the herbs that some of them I fimiliar with like sumac, zaatar because I'm working in foods & beverage industry.
