Thanks for making a video about the Cardinals 🙌🏼 it's so chill being a Cardinal's fan, no expectations or disappointments, every game we just hope both teams are having fun 🤙🏼🤙🏼
That's exactly right 😂 Started thé Season expecting nothing as I believed they were one offseason away from starting to be decent and it's a nice surprise so far. I still see ways where all this could still quickly turn into shit
Finally, finally a video where the Cardinals aren't the one getting destroyed. As you stated when "all 5 of us" watched the end of the Cardinals season last year, you could see how much better the offense was with Kyler, and despite having just a few game sample size, how much better he looked with an actual good coaching staff. Coaches have done a really good job because the right side of the offensive line is injured so we have backups in and while they aren't great, they are playing above their ability right now. Not title contenders but at least they have a chance to be in the playoffs and play in some meaningful games late in the year.
AZ is playing great football right now. Kyler is taking care of the ball and looks legit, the defense and oline look inspired, and Conner and McBride are dawgs. Cardinals are just plain fun to watch!
James Conner is an underrated back. He was underrated in Pittsburgh. He's underrated in Arizona. He may never be a superstar but he doesn't lose games for teams and runs hard every carry.
He was damn good in Pittsburgh it just sucked cause our offensive line fell off after 2018 and his production got worse even though it wasn’t his fault
I think he's properly rated. He's a good physical runner with some durability issues and has some dual threat ability. Also helps the O-line for the Cards has been better along with the scheme to keep his touches efficient enough. Only reason why RBs with the Steelers have issues under performing is in part due to scheme (prior to Arthur Smith) and lack of talent with interior OL. But I think you replace Conner in 1-2 years with a real dual threat runner (or a similar setup the Lions have) and that playbook opens up even further for Kyler.
@@michaelklaphake4093 yeah man it sucks. I like Harris, he has a lot of heart, runs and plays hard, doesn’t get injured, but 3 years of Matt Canada and a mediocre offensive line really hampered him
There's been so many breakdowns of the Cardinal's passing game this season, but this is the best of their running game that I've seen so far. Great work!
@@MrSnotrock3t I was saying it when that news came out when everyone was like “Kyler doesn’t watch film lolol”, that clause wasn’t an indictment of Murray, but an indictment of whatever clown show would offer a guy who’s supposed to be an nfl quarterback fearing their guy wouldn’t watch film and would play cod instead
Great video, went in with low expectations but found this to be extremely high quality and information dense. Scheme is absolutely crucial and you detailed it in a digestible way that kept it interesting start to finish. Subbed!
The progressions and increase in maturity is really nice to see - always loved his aggresive nature to push the ball downfield but this is definitely the best ball of his career - Goes to show it takes time and talent around you to grow, who knew tis was a team sport.
That was Emari Demarcado on the long TD run against the bears. Great video regardless and thanks for putting something together about the Cardinals! Their season is helping ease the disappointment of the Wildcats football team.
Every time i watch the cardinals offense, it reminds me of the 2015-2016 cardinals offense. Kyler murray playing under center half the plays like carson. Always running a 2 TE blocking scheme. They both thrive in run game and their play action. Hints to why they were great back then.
Thank you for the analysis and video. I like how you explain the difference in Kyler and others playing last year and their improvement this year. The coaching staff has been brilliant and patient in getting the best out of these young players and working with them to improve from last year. And I subscribed so I can learn more from your analysis!
I loved Kyler since he was at Oklahoma but recent years in nfl he hasnt been playing good besides that 11 win year but love to see him come back and now he with MHJ cant wait to see
unrelated but I’d pay anything to still hear Gus Johnson yell MASERATI MARVVVV like a lunatic through my tv every weekend 🤣🌰🔥 him and Kyler are gonna be an amazing duo
I used to be a big saints fan before Bree’s left. I didn’t watch nfl for a while when I remembered how bad the cardinals were. So I went on yet to see how bad the plays were and I was shocked to see that were so good. I got a new underdog team I’m rooting for and my faith was a big success they’ve been doing great
Patience has been the central theme for this revamped and young Cards offensive core. Big ups to OC Petzing who was sort of on fraud watch early in the season. But he's only had Kyler for about a true full season (injured for the most part last year), McBride taking another leap, MHJ getting more involved and everyone in the run game looking more consistent. With a stable look at this foundation it should be an easy vision for the Cards FO to see who they can draft to improve or even open up the playbook further. Imagine they get a bonafide RB who can also turn those run blocks into 10+ yards and be a heavy target in the short pass game. Also goes to show that the run game is alive and well in the NFL after a bunch of dumbos bought into the market of its demise. Especially when most defenses still want to play light boxes and don't exactly have a violent freezer in the trenches to eat up space.
James Conner is obviously a top 10 RB - possibly even top 5 - but Emari Demercado has had his moments as well, and Trey Benson the rookie has been outstanding and a clear future replacement. It’s amazing what this scheme has done for a rookie running back averaging similar numbers per rush. He’s not quite a workhorse yet, but I can see him as a number 1 starting RB in this league in the next 2-3 years. What a boss.
K1 is like watching a video game character come to life. He can run backwards faster than a Defense player can run at him and as soon as the defense is committed K1 makes a cut and the opposition is left floundering and tripping over themselves.
and scary thing is, we’re just getting started… Next year this team is going to be loaded with talent. If Gannon can turn a bunch of no names into productive pass rushers and run stuffers, imagine what he can do with established pass rushers? Crazy thought. offense keeps getting better and better, I can say with full confidence that next year we are Super Bowl contendors.
As a seahawks fan it pains to see my team going away from 11 and 12 personel when you have one of the best running backs in the league. This is the type of offense Geno would excel under, not this air raid bs throwing it likw 50 times a game
WHERE ARE YOUR SHORT JOKES NOW?? GO PLAY COD IN YOUR BASEMENT, TROLLS! Jokes aside, great video. Glad to see Petzig get some love after half the fanbase was calling for his head. I’m glad the cards are out of klingaberry spell that plagued them. Wish Bruce was would of been able to but no dice even then they played with no gumption. This year is definitely different. Funny that running the ball is a good game plan. Giants had this concept and then threw it all away to pay the QB that can't throw 18+ YDs in a season. As a giants fan I'm in Hell
the next 2 games against seattle are going to be very telling on whos coming out of the nfc west as champions if the cards sweep than whos really there to stop them division wise when the rams and niners have been getting beaten with the injury stick.
I'm a Cards fan, and we need to pump the brakes on all of this "Cards are badasses" nonsense. We've beaten a total of TWO teams with winning records (Chargers and an injured 49ers). We've absolutely gotten our asses handed to us by the really good teams. Our other four wins were vs. Jets, Bears, Dolphins with Tua's first game back from injury, Rams without Kupp and Puka. All fluff games at that time. Washington trashed us, Green Bay trashed us, Detroit was a decent game, and Buffalo was just asleep for the 1st half of Game 1 and then woke up to destroy us for the 2nd half.
Gannon wasn't a draw to be a HC for his defensive mind. He's a cheap hire (first time HC), a strong communicator even back in his DC days but he knows how to gather the right guys around him and get them all in the same page for game day. Says a lot more for that other fraudulent HC in Chicago.
They’ve beaten some bad teams with the exception of the niners and rams ( division games always close ones ). They blew a 17 point lead to buffalo, lost by 3 scores to Green bay, L to Detroit, blown tf out by Washington, they’ve lost to the best teams they’ve played, 0-3 against the top of the NFC.. I really don’t see where all the hype comes from
Cards defense ain't great and the offense is relatively young. The first 6 weeks for them wasn't an indication of the floor of the offense considering they are still learning it. Didn't help as you outlined that their schedule for the first 8 weeks was a bunch of teams over .500 (Bills, Lions, Packers, surging Commanders, Chargers). Being able to execute and beat on meh teams with poo poo run defenses who can't score is progress to carry forward in the second half of the season. It also helps Cards schedule is much easier than their NFC West rivals for the next 2 months. They have to run through the Seahawks twice who haven't been great against the run. Vikings, Pats and Panthers are manageable and by week 17-18 its the Rams and Niners. Best case scenario Cards could already have 11 wins by then and can clinch the NFC West.
You do understand that if you start surrounding better talents around your star young QB that they learn to be more efficient in structure and save putting on the cape for better situations right? Also the key pieces of the Cards offense are young.
