  • We have recently purchased a 2005 Citroen Dispatch to convert into a small camper. In this video we finish installing our Maxxfan Deluxe and insulate the roof of our van.
Feel free to comment any suggestions or advice, we're first time converters and appreciate all help we can get!

You can save on deadening stuff, as it is enough when just 40% of each panel is covered.

At last, another video to brighten up the day, I've just finished with 90% of the insulation, I used astrofoil, putting in some things next week, dieselheater, bed and a cabinet, sadly we have strick laws here prohibiting me from doing a permanent uild like yours, not even a fan like the brilliant one in soon to be snug Dough 👍😊 I'm a bit of an introvert so won't be sharing videos of my build but will gladly share pictures, keep up the happy go lucky attitude, so contagious, thanks for the motivation and energy, really appreciate it 🙏💪👍

Thanks for the positive feedback Benjamin! Sounds like you're doing good with your van conversion, would love to see pictures. We're deciding if we should get a diesel heater or not for Doug. Good luck with the installation of your new part. And thanks again for watching and the support!

@@dougthedispatch1902 there's a ton of great videos about diesel heaters, pros and cons of cheap Vs expensive ones, installation is a breeze, seen a million and one DIY on those, good luck

    Hi Guys,
Been following every one of your builds, I've also got a dispatch and am in the process of doing the same as you guys - im not sure how but could you message me privately as i would love to discuss your ideas and my own to see how they compare - would also be great to organise a dispatch camp out when this covid is over with!

Hi Dan, Thanks so much for following along on our journey. Glad to find another dispatch converter! To be honest with you we don't really have a set out plan. We're just doing what we can when we can. Lockdown is getting in the way quite a lot. Hope your conversion is going along smoothly!

@@dougthedispatch1902 exactly the same - i have no plan, just winging it and doing whatever i can (lockdown restraining it) - ive now fully insulated the roof and have started stuffing loft roll in the side walls, my plan is to then carpet line the interior over the existing ply, so sides and door, then i will clad the roof - havent braved the vent yet - would you recommend it? for a bed i managed to source a pull out single/double that JUST fits, and you can get a double mattress in, but nothing else hahaha

Glad you're uploading, watching made me feel a bit more like I could tackle my dispatch in my own novice way. Where did you buy the white insulation and was one roll enough?

Glad the videos are helping you out! We bought the insulation in Amazon, typing "transporter campervan insulation" should find the stuff. We actually needed to buy 2 rolls and it was exactly the right amount for what we did. Thanks for the support!

You can buy the white insulation stuff in B&Q, it's made out of old plastic bottles.., do your bit against plastic waste.
