Peace and Love to these guys. Words can't explain this band right here. They helped me in my Tears for Fears crazy childhood. I spent many nights soothing my pain with them. The guitar starting @ 4:38 is so awesome! Those drums and vocals are beautiful. I used to Shout , let it All out. it took me away from the reality of the bruises and the beatings. @behind you My parents never said anything about Elvis, when I listened TFF 1985. All I know is that my dad said, it is very nice song. Have a nice day.
Must be getting old listening to modern dribble is soulless and joyless in the extreme . So lm Just going to say thank god I grew up in the time I did but rock and metal will always rule
“Songs From the Big Chair”, one of the greatest albums of all time. “The Working Hour”, perfection. Still gives me chills. Curt and Roland will always have a special place in my heart.
I remember buying the album Songs from the big chair in 1984. My all time favorite tears for fears song, and was hoping that Roland would play the whole guitar solo near the end and he did not disappoint! Most stations that play the song cut to the short solo version, Well Done!
The Working Hour. One of the most underrated songs in existence both lyrically and melodically. Shout - One of the most gripping songs to unravel the soul and set a heart on fire.
J. S. The Working Hour is magic. It starts out simply and minimally and it builds and builds and then...it suddenly soars/blossoms/don’t know what to call it musically but I get chills and on occasion it brings me to tears. And that’s all before the vocal sets in! Wish I could listen to it with someone who would understand.
I saw them this past weekend, they absolutely sound the same way they do on the album as they do in person. Absolutely amazing concert. And to the dad that had his 8 yr old and 13 yr old daughter cheering the band on, kudos to you sir, parenting done right
Tears for Fears played this great music for those happy kids in the audience parents. Proof that great music is timeless... passing through generations. I am lucky to catch them from the start...the 1980s til now.

Of all the welcome-unexpected surprises RUclips has sprung on me since 2006, honestly, I think this one ranks top. A song from 1985 performed to an audience which looks to have all been born after 2015 - and they sing it like a national anthem. These guys have created a new audience.
It is funny because while I agree with you, almost the entire drums are pre recorded here and that is extremely lame.
Gotta love how everybody started singing before Roland even uttered a single word.
I’m glad they settled their differences and got back together because this is a classic and it’s right up there with with the best songs
Now remember boys and girls, this is real music
Just can't put myself through listening to the sh!t that's in the charts now a day's, 80s on the radio permanently for me.
Wish I had a time travelling machine.
@@andrewtucker8011 Do not listen to the charts then and support new alternative acts
@@goldenhourkodak i don't listen to the charts at all.
@@andrewtucker8011 agree 100%
Curt & Roland... I cannot express the gratitude i feel for you both for having made my life a better experience. Being a source of happiness, inspiration, support and comfort.
You two are eternal and occupy a big and important part in the history of music, culture and, specially, many lives all over Earth.
Simply... thank you. ❤❤❤❤

Thank You for sharing. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The guitar solo at the end is amazing!!
Song still kicks all the ass! That drum sound is perfect, and the fill is one of my all-time favorite drum fills! Such a great tune.
agree
Hey all you kids out there. THIS IS CALLED MUSIC. Raw power. All rocking goosebumps inducing song. Unleashed in 1985. Timeless classic.
they have no idea how good it was back then. the digital age has diminished music :(
@behind you My parents never said anything about Elvis, when I listened TFF 1985. All I know is that my dad said, it is very nice song. Have a nice day.
@behind you no worries
Must be getting old listening to modern dribble is soulless and joyless in the extreme . So lm Just going to say thank god I grew up in the time I did but rock and metal will always rule
@Cláudia Duarte who? cold play? jajaja
“Songs From the Big Chair”, one of the greatest albums of all time. “The Working Hour”, perfection. Still gives me chills. Curt and Roland will always have a special place in my heart.
52 yrs now.
But I still love this band and their songs
I remember buying the album Songs from the big chair in 1984. My all time favorite tears for fears song, and was hoping that Roland would play the whole guitar solo near the end and he did not disappoint! Most stations that play the song cut to the short solo version, Well Done!
As a teen I played this song with the volume maxed out on a Sony walkman.
Together with A 12 pack of batteries
Yeah!!!! Así se escuchaba esta canción en los 80
Great times
WHAT DID YOU SAY!
What a time to be alive 💯. Even though I’m a 91’ baby, I sure wished I was born in 81’ to live such an amazing decade.
They have still got it!, this is my favourite version of the song, no pretentious crap just natural and raw
Could listen to it everyday non-stop
Damn they're still got it!
Goosebumps like crazy!!!!
It makes me happy to see so many young faces in that crowd.
@@annikaluke9923 "Wish I could listen to it with someone who would understand.".... ME TOO!
I saw them this past weekend, they absolutely sound the same way they do on the album as they do in person. Absolutely amazing concert. And to the dad that had his 8 yr old and 13 yr old daughter cheering the band on, kudos to you sir, parenting done right
Who’s reading comments here while listening to this to feel even more goosebumpy?!!!
Great band and great public, without phones recording and enjoing the music. That's how it should be.
Who's here watching it during 2020 worldwide quarantine?? 💪🏻💪🏻
🙋
Meeeee ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ Amazing .......
Russia, Kazan
Québec Canada
Me. Jakarta, Indonesia here.
Watching TFF live performances here on You Tube the whole evening
Tears for Fears & Simple Minds are the songs of my youth! They still hit every note! Performance is superb!!
Tears for Fears played this great music for those happy kids in the audience parents. Proof that great music is timeless... passing through generations.
I am lucky to catch them from the start...the 1980s til now.
Those voices 😮 incredible !!!! True talent !!!
Orzabal & Smith, great songs grew old but will never, ever fade. Keep on growing dudes 😀
I went to Hard Rock this year and saw the band played this song so good. Long time i never listen to this song until this year,. Brings all the memories, I'm 52 now.....❤ boi ipin and the gang.. you all so good
memories, memories and more memories.im 50 and the guys can do it like 1985,roland,curt and the band, thank you very much from germany
Life is a breath, yesterday we were all young ............ fascinating to grow old and see our idols on the same trail ................
Great perspective.
Of all the welcome-unexpected surprises RUclips has sprung on me since 2006, honestly, I think this one ranks top. A song from 1985 performed to an audience which looks to have all been born after 2015 - and they sing it like a national anthem. The band look visibly stunned at how in turn the audience is with this timeless classic. Songwriting masterpiece that grows with age.
Go on lads. Bring back the anthems. Timeless.
