Rarely do you ever get live performers who hit almost every single inflection in a song. It's always amazing to me when performers can hit those inflections perfectly in a live performance.
I can’t find a single flaw with this song. Perfection in every way. To me, it is relatable to everyone if you truly understand the lyrics. It essentially asks the question, “How do you go for what you want in life without harming or stepping on others?” Or maybe, “How do you attack your ambitions without damaging or harming the world?” At least that’s how I’ve always felt about it. The famous English classical composer Peter Warlock once wrote that there's no such thing as "old" music or "new" music, only "good" music and "bad" music. Good music, he said, is as fresh and alive as the day it was written - and I feel this song fits that description perfectly.
Agreed. Music even more than film can transcend time. Yes, one can tell by the style of a song what decade it was released but it rarely ages poorly as films or the music videos that accompany the songs themselves.

Listen to Bob Dylan in Rough & Rowdy Ways, Jerry Garcia singing Visions of Johanna live in 95 shortly before his death, for example. This song hasn't lost its brilliance over the years. Fantastic music.
@@modernpeasants7 I considered them to be one of the most talented☮ singers and musicians in the 80's! What a great time 🎶for music those years were! @@ricksuegreen1502 Exactly, and while Peter Warlock as a great composer, there’s kind of a small fallacy in his point. The music that lasts is “timeless” and the ones that were famous but didn’t last kind of “faded away.” It doesn’t mean one is bad or good than another.

It’s fake. Totally flattened out digitally. I get that they feel they need to do that at their age, but I’d rather hear their voices with age and imperfections in it than digitally altered processes sound. Listen to Bob Dylan in Rough & Rowdy Ways, Jerry Garcia singing Visions of Johanna live in 95 shortly before his death, for example. Very different than their younger voices, but real-and powerful in their own way IMO.
