It's a classic for sure but very much sounds like the 80s. Which isnt bad but I wouldn't say it's timeless. Some songs seriously seem to have a sound seperate from the decade they were in. This isn't one of them. Still a great song.

The fact that these guys can not only still sing this perfectly at their age, but harmonize on key as well is insane. I can’t find a single flaw with this song. Perfection in every way. To me, it is relatable to everyone if you truly understand the lyrics. It essentially asks the question, “How do you go for what you want in life without harming or stepping on others?” Or maybe, “How do you attack your ambitions without damaging or harming the world?” At least that’s how I’ve always felt about it. It makes you think.
I love this band. I’ve probably heard this song 1,000 times and it doesn’t seem like enough. So good to see them doing so well.

The famous English classical composer Peter Warlock once wrote that there's no such thing as "old" music or "new" music, only "good" music and "bad" music. Good music, he said, is as fresh and alive as the day it was written - and I feel this song fits that description perfectly.
