They honestly sound the same as they did in 1985. Holy mother was this cool to see, my favorite band when I was a kid. Late to the party, I know...but glad I found this video. Made me teary-eyed actually.
I can’t find a single flaw with this song. Perfection in every way. To me, it is relatable to everyone if you truly understand the lyrics. It essentially asks the question, “How do you go for what you want in life without harming or stepping on others?” Or maybe, “How do you attack your ambitions without damaging or harming the world?” At least that’s how I’ve always felt about it. It makes you think. I love this band. I’ve probably heard this song 1,000 times and it doesn’t seem like enough. So good to see them doing so well.
Was thinking the same thing just today: I heard this countless times during the years, but it still finds a way to hit me everytime. Masterful arrangement and composition.
The famous English classical composer Peter Warlock once wrote that there's no such thing as "old" music or "new" music, only "good" music and "bad" music. Good music, he said, is as fresh and alive as the day it was written - and I feel this song fits that description perfectly.
Agreed. Music even more than film can transcend time. Yes, one can tell by the style of a song what decade it was released but it rarely ages poorly as films or the music videos that accompany the songs themselves.
@@modernpeasants7 I considered them to be one of the most talented☮ singers and musicians in the 80's! What a great time 🎶for music those years were!
Wow I like the way you put that.
ME GUSTA MUCHO SU OPINION Y REFLEXION
intense instrumentation and great voices backing power lyrics
Was thinking the same thing just today: I heard this countless times during the years, but it still finds a way to hit me everytime. Masterful arrangement and composition.
Your summary is almost as good as the song itself- BRAVO!!
What I loved was that Tears for Fears✌🌞 rocked, but if you took the time to listen to the lyrics, they were so🌻 meaningful and truthful! @@ricksuegreen1502 Exactly, and while Peter Warlock as a great composer, there’s kind of a small fallacy in his point. The music that lasts is “timeless” and the ones that were famous but didn’t last kind of “faded away.” It doesn’t mean one is bad or good than another.
Blessed to have grown up in an era where songs like these ruled the airwaves. What a time to be alive♡
