I thank you for your professionalism, refined thinking, and knowledge of maps, history, and Moroccan civilization. However, for your information, the eastern borders with the French colony of Algeria-specifically the western regions of that colony-are originally Moroccan lands. The French colonizers annexed them from Morocco, just as they annexed lands from Tunisia, Libya, and Mali to form a French colony called Algeria, which became a state in 1962, the year of its establishment. In the north of the colony, there was an Amazigh kingdom known as the Republic of Kabylia.

as a fellow brit of moroccan origin who was born in Britain but spent half his life growing up in Tangiers, how beautiful to see it being filmed and becoming a very popular tourist attraction. If you go around next time, it is worth to visit the hoods in Tangiers, very interesting and the culture change from the main parts of the city to the hoods is something that must also be documented. My people tend to stare a lot, especially if you are a ginger lad walking around in a bright red kashaba 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Tangiers has a lot of history, it is the door to europe, and has been colonised by France, Spain, The Romans, Greeks and god knows who else back in the day.

just to clarify Morocco has never completely lost its independence in the past 1000 years, even in the french era it was still a kingdom under french and Spanish "protectorate" since 1912 and not a colony, the king still had to sign all decisions they wanted to implement and when he started refusing to sign they exiled him for two years starting "the revolution of the king and the people"plus the pacification of Morocco by France and Spain lasted 24 years so Morocco has only been a protectorate for 20 years

At the 6th minute and 18 seconds, you ignorantly or unknowingly made a statement, while speaking about a place in Tangier, claiming that this place does not feel like Morocco and resembles Spain. Coincidentally, you received a striking response when you asked a group of tourists, “Where are you from?” They replied, “Spain.” This means they came to enjoy the Moroccan Amazigh civilization, which built Al-Andalus. Thanks to the conqueror Tariq Ibn Ziyad, the Amazigh Moroccan (not Arab) civilization ruled Spain for centuries, building Al-Andalus.
Unfortunately, your mindset, saturated with a defeated Arabist ideology and the rhetoric of certain clergy, made you perceive what you saw as “not Moroccan.” The truth, however, is that it is profoundly Moroccan. The Kingdom of Morocco, which left you amazed, represents a civilization spanning countless centuries. Furthermore, the ruling family in Morocco has led the nation with the consent of its people for over 13 centuries.
Please, in the future, learn to respect Moroccan civilization. You are welcome, but kindly leave behind any sense of inferiority in your homeland.

I mean women that u don't know. Remember, u are there for Moroccans to serve u. If u don't like someone staring. Scream what r u looking at. They will stop.

They stare because they are not used to vlogging. Plus, the language. They don't understand what is going. The Moroccan culture is more aggressive than the UK one. You have to earn ur right of no-stare through mindset boy language and assertive/aggressive tone of voice. You have to learn to lead in Morocco be ready to defend yourself. But not with women.

@@TangentialTechnologies-hx8ln I meant when not filming people they will just sit and stare for a long time I’m still getting used to the culture difference but I’m still loving it here 🇲🇦 thank you so much for your comment and explaining for me 😃

16:00 The bottles with the yellow fluid is a technique we use to avoid stray cats marking the territory with their pee since it's stinks, i don't know what they put inside of it but it seems to be working.

@@Islamlewis I am a Moroccan who lives in Europe but we have also a house in tanger.
I visit tanger regularly, in fact, I’ve just returned from there a month ago.
It’s a nice clean city with excellent sea food.
I will also recommend you to visit el hoceima, tetuan, and whole northern coast.
I really think you will like it.
Anyway, have a nice one sir 🫡

    Assalamu alaykum brother Islam Lewis,
I hope you're doing well. I have an Islamic channel with subscribers from all over the world, mainly in Europe. Unfortunately, I lost monetization due to a reused content flag and I'm currently facing some financial difficulties. I believe with your experience, you could take the channel to a much larger audience. If you're interested in purchasing it and growing the platform, please let me know. You can provide one of your socials if you'd like to discuss further. The channel is this one im commenting from
