Chaos primary weakness is that it mobile weapon pod r not capable of atmospheric flight therefore greatly reducing its overall firepower. None of ms with dragoons (Providence, Strike Freedom & Legend) r capable using it in earth atmosphere unlike throne zwei's gn fangs.

In earth atmosphere with normal gravity chaos needed together the combine thrust of ms & weapon pods to maintain flight as chaos is the heaviest gundam (weight 91.61 metric tons) capable of normal flight. Without the wea. pods thrust chaos r unable to maintain flight in normal gravity. Only in the manga chaos r capable using wea. pods to fight in earth atmosphere but not in the animation (Seed Destiny).
