This was my 3rd time flying Walt's Point, and I luckily got my 3rd hundred miler. There was a lot of moisture at play, and I found rain and hail near the end of the flight.
Very nicely done. Any particular reason you didn't attempt to get over the back ridge ? The could streets appeared to be further West than you flew. Also, cloud base wasn't reachable that day ? Anyway: what a flight ! Do you have the igc file uploaded somewhere ? Happy Landings !
Thanks for the advice! I should've tried the back ridge on this flight. I didn't have O2 on my previous Walt's flights, so I followed the front ridge at lower altitude....and I ended up doing the same thing on this flight despite having O2 this time around. I didn't make cloudbase on the Sierra side, but later in the day, I did make cloudbase on the Whites (actually had to shoot out towards the valley to avoid getting into them). I haven't been posting my IGC files, but it's probably about time I starting putting them on xcontest or leonardo or something...but I have it here: www.sportstracklive.com/en/scene/c3417b2d-897e-4d3a-9348-046e1b547c31/
I'd recommend a remote for the GoPro.
Congrats. Beautiful flight. Loved your music too.
What a flight! Great views and soundtrack choice.
Nice, love seeing the Eastern Sierra and Mt. Whitney.
Stunning views. Congrats on 100x3!
Thanks!

Beautiful! I was just wondering.. Why did you land so far from the people you were with (your family/friends)?
I didn't land far from them at all- they beat me to the landing zone and filmed my landing (which I included at the end of the video).
@@ajtigra It was close enough... my comment was more about how some paragliders show off by putting down a couple of feet from the camera. 👍
@@RonRay Oh, that? I'm not much of a show-off and the center of a big, open field looked better to me.
