Very nice flight. You may want to consider flying with FLARM in this area because on a great day like this there can be a lot of sailplanes flying near cloudbase in the same convergence, and almost 100% of them are FLARM equipped.
enjoyed your presentation of this flight. describing what your're thinking and adding bits of info re. spots you're flying over is, to me, very entertaining. stay safe. 🙂
🤩😍 superb video! Amazing footage, amazing presentation, and amazing storytelling. Thanks for making this, cant wait for the next episode! Congrats on the nice flight!!
Another beautiful and impressive HG soaring XC video!! Although I don’t HG anymore I am always dreaming of being up there with you. I wish we would have had GoPro’s etc. back in the day to better record the early 1970’s & 80’s days of hang gliding, for better or worse!! Are you flying a T3? Looks like an amazing glider!! Thanks Chuck R Hang IV #214
Haha yes, we're willing to deal with that if it happens. I didn't mention in the video, but there is another small bailout that's much closer to the road, at a 10:1 glide. So still needs some skill and luck, but high chance we'll make it. That's why I would only recommend this site for advanced pilots and in strong "bulletproof" conditions.
Nice video..really enjoyed it and brought back memories of my Hang Glider XC flights off of High Rock in Maryland..

Yes, technology is evolving too fast for me to keep up. Next time I’m upgrade my instrument, I’ll get one with FLARM
I'm really impressed by the footage. Starting with the view from the car, the dam, multiple camera angles from the glider and ending with the almonds.
Always a pleasure to watch your flying and videos. Your tutorials of your flights and knowledge of the surroundings are so informative.

Thanks, the goal is to tell an interesting story along with beautiful footage.

Thank you Chuck! Yes I’m flying a T3, and it’s a cross country machine! I would have loved to see footage of those early XC flights from the 80’s.
Lovely Video. Frank in Kilkenny Ireland. PG Pilot
Thanks, great to hear from pilots over the world! I hope to fly in Ireland some day. Also a P2 myself, on track to be P3 soon!

Can I ask why? The flight was quite peaceful.
Looks like fun! Nice one.

Wait, 1 hr hike from bail out? It means 2 trips with T3 and Rotor harness lol
