Perhaps the most peaceful of all my compositions, this was inspired by the recent snowfall in the UK (April 2019).

thanks piano man
I Hope you get famous one time. At least under the category of modern classical music.
Thanks for saying so!
I think that he is not performing this beautiful music to become famous. Instead he is performing to experess himself through music, that will surely become everyones favourite. Many people dont know who composed Twinkle Twinkle "Ah vous deri J Maman" But everyone knows the tune, same for " Eine kleine Nachtamusik" and many pieces.
@@vib_di you're right,you're right.
I agree. You are as good as some of the top composers in 21 century. I hope you get to write music for movies. You will definitely get recognition.
The journey continues . . .
And I'm still savouring the ride as you delve increasingly deeper into your seemingly infinite creative compositional core. Yes - this is so quiet and poignant; peaceful but also emotionally so very rich - cogent enough to float me from zenith to nadir, from the very apex to a snow-filled dingle. As I've mentioned before, living in a country where snow is a rarity and falling mostly on the highest of mountain tops in mid winter, the few times I've experienced it on the flat lands of my own country, I am always so aware of the extreme quiet that descends over the landscape after such a fall; an almost anticipatory feeling of being in limbo whilst awaiting . . . what ? All of this you've captured in this engaging and for me, one of your most endearing and enduring creations. Love the way the music tapers off at the end like snow melting . . .
Yet another composition to care deeply about. Thank you Luke - for providing nourishment for a hungry soul.
PS: The video is probably the best yet: the juxtapositioning of the stark white landscape with the lush greenery of spring. A poetic ode to the changing seasons. C'est magnifique.
I love the way you write, Danie! I'd never so much as considered what the antonym of zenith might be - I might well use "from zenith to nadir" myself at some point :)
Haha, alas the juxtaposition of stark white with verdant green was not of my own contrivance, the snow fell victim to the rain long before I could get out there with the piano!
Wow never came across such a beautiful comment. I don't know if u cud speak the music through words. Lovely music
Wow, your experience in art never hesitates to astound me.
Thank you for saying so, Shivan!
Melancolic like the weather itself, but soft and beautiful.
We are entering Summer now and expecting sunny days. Good night.Teresa.
I've just been composing a waltz, when this popped out on notifications ... it inspired my in a way or another .. thanks Luke for this HEAVEN music
Would love to hear it!
Heavenly. And a gorgeous video too as always!
That snow is just gorgeous! I really like how painting like the footage in this video was. Everything seems static until you notice small movements and the flurry of snow. The stillness for the most part really adds to the tranquility of this piece.
Very true, Cindy! I though we'd had the last of the snow and was delighted when it reappeared, knowing I'd still to film this piece. Glad you enjoyed it :)
Dear Luke, this is such a romantic composition, again it fills our Soul. Thanks, Teresa.
I hope I see my firt snows soon, it's so beautiful! ❄️❄️❄️
Thank you, Luíza - hope you're well! :)
Very nice!
Thank you!
Always divine composition(s) played by your soulful inspiration!
Just 3 words : thank you Luke !❤
Thanks, Raphael!
I admire your poise, balance and posture....You are a real pro.
I admire your feelings, your sense of ultimate humbleness and your depth of your being.
Every single moment is special with you, your music is all you convey not only playing.
Thank you for your lovely comment! Hope you're well (and sorry it took so long to respond to this!)
How beautiful! Fairy-tale!!!

Saw your comment on video about muscle ups and clicked on your channel. That was one of the best things i ever did.
Ah yeah, I remember watching that a while back! Thanks :)
Listening to your playing and it makes me calm.

Simply wonderful
I saw a film called Last Snows of Spring when I was a girl in the 1970s. Thanks for writing this, and for reminding me of one of the most emotional films I've ever seen.
Your music helps calm me so I can create my artwork...I can't seem to create to anything else. Thank you.
Very calm and reflective. Love your outdoor scene and seeing the piano as well with all the snow. Very nice!
Thanks for saying so, James!

Some of the greatest music has come from England.I've always loved England, maybe because my ancestry comes from there and Ireland.Luke, your music makes me want to go there.Love the title.I spend a lot of time experiencing the last snowfalls of spring, mountain bicycling in southern Utah.
Such amazing music. I’m so happy when I get a chance to listen to you. Thanks for always posting my friend

Merveilleux !
You are the best, truly! ❤️🥰🥰😭
Haha, thanks for saying so!
Slightly off the subject, here's a haha share:
Spent an hour plus happy & contented time last week with Halidon's Mozart - Piano Works after a YT recom. Beautiful, most satisfying album; inspiring, and oozing an aura of commitment. The multi talented Mr Faulkner returning to his concert pianist et al roots (?) Even whilst engaged in a display of his awesome compositional techniques? Say Mr Faulkner - when do we get to call you by the honorary title of maestro ? Much preferred to the New Year's honors listy thingummyjig; "Sir Luke,
(Bard - no wait that's Scottish ) Lord of the part castle" doesn't do it for me.
Maestro Luca Faulknerelli.
Mmm, has a nice ring to it.
Back to yr current compo. I feel strongly that of all your works, this one is the most cinematic. So sad. It conjures up visuals of the end of a beautiful relationship - a parting at a railway station or an airport. The music swelling to a crescendo then slowly into a dying fall as written. But the softly falling snow must be part of the mise en scène. What can I say ? I'm a romantic at heart. 😢
Hahaha, Luca Faulknerelli! Reminds me of Dario Marianelli - a truly great composer.
I did indeed train as a Classical pianist, hence the Mozart. I'm actually off to give a concert in Luxembourg right now, as it happens :)
@@LukeFaulkner Good luck with the concert Maestro. You'll be in my thoughts. Break a leg.
💖💖💖 I deeply like this video !!! This one made me discover you and your pianos in this beginning of December 2020, with the snow !!! Thanks a lot for those beautiful moments of music and beauty shared !! Astrid (Paris)
Lindo demais, esse piano ao ar livre, com essa música, que tem tudo a ver. Belo clipe, parabéns pela criatividade. Um abraco.
Bravo
Linda música!!! Parabéns!!!!
Beautiful as always!! But I have a question: the building behind you is your house? Because it's seems like a castle 😁
Thank you, Leonardo! It's not my house, but I do live there :)
😍😍😍 so glad i found you on my recommendation page! Love your pieces, they are my new study music playlist now 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you, May! I'm glad you like them!
just wondering, how did you learn to compose?
Good question! I played the piano lots throughout childhood and composed for fun alongside. When I was 16 I started taking composition lessons in addition to piano. Then continued at Oxford, where I did a lot of pastiche writing.
its 3am with lots of thoughts rn and your way of playing makes me really calm. Idk what you're doing atm but i believe you'll be very, very famous one day. Keep up the work sir!
Thanks for your support!
Fantastic work, Luke. I've been playing for 20 years (since the age of 5 years) and I am also a composer. However, the market here in South Africa is saturated, so I don't even record anymore. Just doing it for fun until I forget it. Your work is really good. Perhaps send it to Allan Grey for advert music. You have the talent.
Thanks for the suggestion, Daniel! I think the market is saturated everywhere these days - I also do it for fun mostly :) I'd be interested to hear your work if you upload any.
Very good composition. Im trying to compose songs myself, i just cant quite find my tone
Thanks, Ola Galaaen!
It's just a matter of time ;)
How are you going with composing Luke? I too am trying to finish a set of 6 etudes in C# minor and I've made 3, so I hope you get more ideas cause your compositions are magnificent!
Good luck with your work Banana!
@@MiloPaulus thank you
@@reimakousei793
Would love to hear them
Quite well, thank you Banana! Your etude project sounds exciting - I too would love to hear them. Btw, just clicked on your channel and discovered you like Rafael Orozco's 3rd Scherzo recording. I once listened to all the recordings I could find of the Chopin Scherzos and found his interpretations the most exciting!
@@LukeFaulkner its brilliant isnt it?
Seen your comment on a video and wanted to see how your New year's resolution was going.😊👍✌
Where is this located? it’s so beautiful
A secluded valley in the English countryside not far from Wales.
Luke Faulkner thanks 😄, the music is so great and relaxing too btw
Dude send this to marvel
Thanks! I hope to at some point - just want to write a few more things first (especially orchestral works) before approaching them.
Nah, sorry
