This was SO GOOD! I made it with chicken tenders, so I had to adjust the cooking time downward, but the results were amazing. Thank you so much, Maangchi!
@@samiruch Hello, I usually make this recipe using chicken tenders so it doesn't need much cooking time. I cook it until it has golden exterior on the outside with medium heat, about 5-6 minutes assuming you fry with a lot of oil. For the second fry, I increase the heat to high heat and fry only for 2-3 minutes maximum. Don't cook them for too long or else they'll dry out!
There's a Korean restaurant next to my apartment in Paris that makes Yangnyeom tongdak but I'm sure your recipe is better. I'll try it ❤️. (It'll be hard to make it in my tiny student kitchen but as we say in French "qui ne tente rien n'a rien" (who tries nothing gets nothing))

Hi, if you let your oil get to 350-365 you will not have soggy chicken. When the oil is not up to temperature it causes the meat to absorb oil. Also remember if the meat is cold it will reduce the temperature of the oil, which makes the food soggy or greasy, clear indicator that the oil is not hot enough. Love your channel and trust me you can get the best crunchy fried chicken in one fry and never soggy or greasy

I want to make it again for my family to try but I would need to do like three times the amount so a long of time and work but it will be worth it for them to try this delicious recipe! Thank you so much Maangchi for sharing. I love your personality, your videos and your recipes!!!
I'm so happy to hear that you made delicious chicken! Congratulations!
korean fried chicken has always been my favourite food, even though i'm from southeast asia and am not korean! my sister would make them for special occasions and i miss it so much. sometimes i think "wow, imagine if maangchi was my mom" and i cry inside haha i love watching your videos so much even though i can't cook most of them. but one day i will follow your recipes for sure!!!
Though i don't eat non vegetarian food. But I always see manngchi's videos because of her smile. And i adore her. ❤️
Maybe you could try this recipe but fry your favorite vegetables instead of meat.
It looks very delicious!! I should make this for my kids!! Thank you for your video.
Wow, that looks fantastic. I'm currently living in Poland for work and have been dying for some delicious korean fried chicken. I'll find the ingredients now!!!!
I love this! Me and my sister made this together and it tasted very good! I love your recipe!
I'm so glad!
I agree. She is by far the cutest little cook ove seen!
Maangchi! This recipe has been my go to for korean fried chicken for a couple years ,all of my friends and family love it they can't get enough 💖 thank you! ❣️
I love this dish so much and I make it quite often, usually as small, boneless chicken bites. I use honey in my sauce instead of rice syrup, and it is delightful! Thank you for your wonderful recipes, Maangchi!
Wow, I’m Korean, but I’m adding rice syrup? That's great
Try not to heat the honey, that isnt good for health!
Best recipe on the internet so far!
I’ve been making fried chicken wrong my whole life. This was so much simpler and looks twice as good as what I’ve been doing. 😍 Life-changing.
Good luck with making delicious crunchy chicken!
I made all version of korean chicken using maangchi recipes. All delicious and I can proud of myself that I can cook 😊. Thank you so much Maangchi.
Great 👍
@@Maangchi Thank you so much. 너무 너무 감사합니다 선생님.
I have a korean husband and i already tryed so many of your recipes! Thanks to you i can learn so well to cook korean ♥️
Made these this evening. Couldn't find rice syrup so substituted honey. Everyone enjoyed them!
Wonderful!
I have done the same and tasted great
Thankyou for the info! I was hesitate to try this recipe because i dont have rice syrup, i'll try with honey next time, once again thankyou!
Did you also use 1/3 cup of honey?? Wouldn’t it be too sweet?
@@Clik533 same question for you 😅 what is the amount of honey did you put? Same as the rice syrup(1/3)?
making this like the 100th time and my family just wants more thanks so much =)
👍
My god. Only one bowl used, all the chicken fried at the same time, yet they didn’t get stuck together and still crunchy and delicious. This recipe is magic. Why isn’t everybody using this method?
When she ate the chicken, my mouth salivated.. 🤤
Korean fried chicken is on another level. It is so crispy, the sauce is so sweet and spicy and I could eat it every day. 😋
I have never seen a chef who enjoys food cooked by them and devours it like her... 😊
I made this today and substituted honey for the rice syrup and it was just amazing 😍. Thank you for sharing your recipes with us 😊
Wow! I made this and it came out GREAT!
👏
Ip
Made this today...the sauce is phenomenal.
Yay! 👏
@@Maangchi It might be helpful to warn people the sauce is sticky as hot taffy. :D One of your cookbooks is going to be a Christmas gift this year. I hope my youngest enjoys your cooking as much as I do. Also, I made the kimchi following your recipe to the letter. It was PERFECT. Between onggi and gochujang, you've cost me a lot of money, and put 10 pounds on me. But damn, the food is good. :D
@@alementary4065 It sounds like you are so good at Korean cooking! Good luck!
@@Maangchi You have certainly instilled an appreciation for Korean cooking. I was familiar with kimchi my whole life, but the more I look into Korean cuisine, the more I think it might be my overall favorite. I am not 'skilled', but I'm pretty good at following your recipes. So yeah...I'm pretty good. :D
I did it yesterday and it's as good as the one i had in store...even better! Thank you for sharing this delicious recipe, always love trying out dishes you introduce♥️
Congratulations! 👏
Paired with some ramen or cheesy ramen, heavenly!! ❤😩
I prefer it paired with cheesy spicy rice cakes
I think I'll just pair them with more wings
Oh yes 🙌🏻
Tried this and addicted now! Thanks for the best recipes!
Maangchi: "You could throw a good party with these".
You: "Oh such a good idea"
Covid: "NO! You'll never have happiness again"

This was SO GOOD! I made it with chicken tenders, so I had to adjust the cooking time downward, but the results were amazing. Thank you so much, Maangchi!
How long did you cook the tenders for ? :)
@@chimpurinkohimiru8920 thank you very much for your response :))
Y'all, THIS IS AWSOME. I could eat this everyday. And she is the sweetest person
I've made your original recipe many times and I love it! I've also made the sauce and glazed crispy tofu or even tempeh with it. So good!
Which one ?
Trust me its good! its additive as hell!
Tu peux passer l’adresse x)
@@MeherBabaAdderall it's called Ae Jung it's in the 9th arrondissement
@@ymir2957 c'est rue Saint Lazare dans le 9e après l'adresse exact je sais pas. Ça s'appelle Ae Jung.
Sinon je conseille le Big Bang Restaurant à côté du jardin du Luxembourg.
I made your wings for SB,,, and everyone loved them. crazy good. I just bought your book and plan to convert. Money Wings. thanks
Awesome! Thank you!
I made it today it's just chef's kiss 😍😍
thank you so very much ♡
Wonderful!
@@Maangchi 🤩♥️♥️♥️
hey, could you tell me if the chicken was spicy?
@@winwind4460 no it wasn't too much spicy at least for me it was appropriate👌
The way of talking is so adorable and the recipe is so tempting
