Add salt (half tsp), and mix until well melted. Add flour (1 3/4 cups). Mix til smoothen, no lumps. Set aside for 1hr (ferment) 2. Prepare the potato. Boil water. Cut potato into cubs, rinse (remove starch) and let it boil. After 2 mins, strain and run into cold water. 3. Prepare hotdog with stick 4. Dry the potato and add 2 tbs flour, mix. 5. I’ve been trying to get these right for soooo long, with recipes with a much looser batter, and it never worked. This worked perfectly and was so easy to cover the surface with the stretchy dough. I made cheese on a stick with my leftover dough and that worked great, too.

Maangchi, this makes me homesick for Seoul. I will try this recipe, and since the dough doesn't require any milk or eggs, I think I can veganize this recipe pretty easily so that my boyfriend can try it! I'm always trying to show him different Korean dishes, because he's been so limited to what he can try (in restaurants) since he is vegan. Thank you for this video!
This looks sooooo delicious! Perfect for the weekend! Maangchi, I'm really thankful for all your cooking videos. I've been an avid fan for years. Because of you, I can cook Korean food for my family and friends. Now they are into Korean cuisine as well! 😁☺️
When she added the sugar I had to chuckle because I know a lot of people will think that coating potato in sugar is weird, but they'd readily use ketchup which is super sugary. Personally I'd cover it in hot sauce :D

Once you've made a hot dog, try it without sugar, then try it with sugar.
Maangchi is adorable and always makes the best food on the planet 🤤💜
I’ve been trying to get these right for soooo long, with recipes with a much looser batter, and it never worked. This worked perfectly and was so easy to cover the surface with the stretchy dough. I made cheese on a stick with my leftover dough and that worked great, too.

Might sound weird but I always wave back at you at every intro/outro of your videos (anyone else with me on this?.. lol) It has become a habit I can't quit.. 😂 Love you Maangchi ❤️
😄
This Korean style corn dog is insanely delicious. 망치 아주머니 역시 이번에도 너무 완벽하게 만드셨네요. 보는 내내 입에 군침이 돌아서 혼났습니다.
감사합니다! 한국어자막 올렸어요!
I cooked and share it with 58 kids and they really like it. Thank you Maangchi for this recipe.
Wow!
@@Maangchi Next time I will make kkwabaegi for sharing and I will follow your recipe. Thank you ^^
@@MyChannel-v9f Great!
Hi from germany! Gonna make this today! And I just wanna say, you are verrrry sympathetic! Thank you for the recipe! 😍
This might be the cutest cooking video I’ve ever seen.
Your cooking videos and positive attitude are single-handedly getting me through 2020.
MAANGCHI is a mind reader! How does she know we are looking for this recipe in covid-19 season? 😅 I really appreciate the recipe. Now I'm happy to be at work and home with korean hotdogs while avoiding people like the plague. Thank you. Thank you. 😭♥️
When I saw the chopsticks, I new this was the real deal. Best corndogs I ever ate were in Tongducheon, Korea!
I’ve tried other recipes but Maangchis is the BEST!!!!!❤❤❤
👍
Your personality is the best, such a ray of sunshine you are!

She made it look so effortless. I made them and the dough was all over the place. Still good though😂. I will definitely be doing this again.
You made it! 👏
I truly enjoy these videos. I love Manngchi. I appreciate her so much and her accent, I can't go long without listening to it😹
❤️
You are so adorable. Luv watching yr channel
These were delicious! Decided to try to make them gluten-free with a 1:1 AP flour and it worked perfectly! I made them with my son and we had a lot of fun! Husband thought I was crazy for sprinkling sugar and salt on them, but he enjoyed them, too! Thank you for such a great recipe. 🥰
"Decided to try to make them gluten-free with a 1:1 AP flour and it worked perfectly!" Thank you for letting me know about it! Happy cooking!
Thank you so much for your recipe:)
My family loved it❤️
👏
Maangchi, this makes me homesick for Seoul. I will try this recipe, and since the dough doesn't require any milk or eggs, I think I can veganize this recipe pretty easily so that my boyfriend can try it! I'm always trying to show him different Korean dishes, because he's been so limited to what he can try (in restaurants) since he is vegan. Thank you for this video!
Fun fact, its called a corn dog because the batter is made with corn meal. Love your recipe's and creative ideas you have =)
It’s Korean style corn dog... she used year and Panko bread crumbs and cornmeal isn’t in the ingredients.
Mam, thank you so much. Your recipe is so simple and potato cubes coating is so beautyfull and crunchy look
I am really fan of urs gonna try all ur recipes loved it
This looks sooooo delicious! Perfect for the weekend!
Maangchi, I'm really thankful for all your cooking videos. I've been an avid fan for years. Because of you, I can cook Korean food for my family and friends. Now they are into Korean cuisine as well! 😁☺️
I'm so happy to hear that! Cheers!
When she added the sugar I had to chuckle because I know a lot of people will think that coating potato in sugar is weird, but they'd readily use ketchup which is super sugary. Personally I'd cover it in hot sauce :D
I like the sugar maybe not the ketchup
@@onetouti I would definitely try it, but it's not what I was expecting as the final coating.
@@Lady-Lilith spicy ketchup ?
@@onetouti Oooh, or spicey korean bbq?
Yes to hot sauce or even rooster sauce (aka siracha)!
I tried them and were so delicious! Thank you so much for the recipe 💕
Awesome!
감자핫도그 평소에 어찌 만드는지 궁금했는데 넘 재밌게 봤네요ㅎㅎ
