It’s fashionable to criticize Pat. It’s such a double standard. I see influencers go into raptures about the 1000th rainbow palette from an indie brand or the 500th neutral palette from Charlotte Tilbury. But Pat gets all the hate.
And when it is justified and said from an informed perspective, great....but that isn't the case and it's getting old hearing people shit all over every release just for the sake of it.

She’s been criticized because the quality of the products and the color story of the palettes aren’t to the expectations that the customers are used to when they buy from Pat usually. It used to be luxury and good quality, now it’s just expensive 🫠

Spot on! As soon as I saw the release video I knew it was the quints eyeshadow formula as the mega Palette which honestly makes sense because they are sought for when released , the quality is impeccable. So when i saw reviewers miss that point , I was pretty shocked maybe it flew over their heads. Love your videos ❤

This new collection looks beautiful! I agree that her Intensifeyes Artistry Wand is way too emollient for the quint formula which is also emollient. Those shadows need a very tacky primer. Beautiful makeup look as always!
I think it is time for people to move on from that trend because it is getting old. Yes, there have been duds and yes the brand has changed direction...but people are free not to buy and most of all, the majority of what she offers is still excellent quality. Oh yes, that artistry wand did not play well with the quint formula. I didn't really love it to be honest.

Secondly, man, that Estée Lauder foundation really does look stunning… I picked some up not too long ago because Ulta (a big US makeup store) was selling it for half off and I needed a new winter foundation. I agree with you. It is pretty obvious the mega is the usual Italian made quint formula. To be saying otherwise isn’t fair to PML or their subscribers. I still am unsure whether I will pick it up though. I feel like high shine metallics have had their day (for now) and more ‘demure’ (word of the moment) ‘no makeup’ makeup is where it’s at. I’ll keep an open mind and wait for reviews, especially yours :)

Everything creases on me. I just let it. I love the quint formula … Creases be damned!!!🎉im just stoked it’s something I can buy without it being a complete redo. Miffed about the mothership still but I will take whatever I can get. I ordered the mega from Sephora and the neutral quint, green and black duos from pat. The other quint looked weak and the petal duo looked like the quint.
Haha I love how no amount of creasing will stand in your way! 😂😂 I think Pat was too busy on the runway this year to give us a mothership and she said during her Sephora France workshop that the brand is releasing a machine for airbrushing so there is that.
My thoughts, exactly, i think creators realized they get more likes and comments when criticizing Pat McGrath Labs new releases, i couldn't help but notice that some creators enjoyed revealing their dislike of the brand; iI always had the feeling some of them were convert narcissists.
Haters gonna hate 😂. It’s getting a bit stale though. In the end of the day, the quality of the products is still superior to so many other brands. And as far as Pat is concerned, there is no such thing as bad press.
Love your rant so much!! You were spot on! I didn’t realize there were so many previous quint shades in the Mega! I thought it was only Lunar Luxury ! With just the one, I thought maybe she used the same shade but in the regular formula and reused the name because the shade is so outstanding(because she does play fast and loose with names calling non baked shades “blitz astral” now). But with several repeat shadows from quints in the Mega, it’s got to be the quint formula! I can’t wait to find out! If the Mega is the quint formula, it’s a must-have for me!!

I agree, I understand the criticism of certain things, the disappointment of no mothership (I share that) but to either be ill informed and critical or just critical because it’s the thing now is pointless. I’ve not finished videos about this collection also because it frankly gets boring, it not being exciting or what you want doesn’t make it inherently bad! I’ll get a few bits, I like the look of some of it, is some of it a bit boring? Yeah but I like it enough to buy it and it’s a release I look forward to.

I take all these information barrage with a grain of salt! I think gone are the days when people used to buy on the whim of reviews...but I understand most still do. I am looking at my pocket thesedays plus how much of a usage I'm giving my eyeshadows to justify my insatiable collectors needs. Pat McGrath gets the heat bcz her price points is still going up and their is no innovative newness coming into her collections. But i am definitely going to buy big palette and the purple quint and perhaps a little green duo. If you have watched Ella kinkley she has found 2 more repeat shades in addition to the 3 you've mentioned. Would that stop me ? Absolutely not ! So im looking forward for a video from You showcasing this 2024 holiday collection.

I still love the PMG products that I do own. If I don’t like a release then I don’t buy it. I feel like I’m one of the only people who doesn’t see it for most of Natasha Denona’s midi palettes. They are very pretty and I like that Natasha tries to do something different with a lot of her color stories. It’s not because of quality, because I own several of the 5 pan minis, but because everything is so monochromatic. Even though this is a 15 pan palette, 3-4 of the mattes look almost exactly the same & same can be said of the shimmers. Yes there is some nuance, but once I blend this out on my eye will you REALLY be able to tell that this is two different shades? At least with Pat’s Motherships all 10 shades are different shades.
Absolutely agree! I feel the same way about ND's midis...and somehow they have gotten less nuanced over time. The original Gold, even Bronze were monochromatic but there was some variation to speak of. That's gone now and it kind of throws me off Natasha's palettes. Bummer because I do like her formula and LOVE that she is doing something different.

Mariam, just letting you know that I'm a silent subscriber. I've been watching you for about a year now but I just had to come out and say thank you for all the information you provide. I'm only just getting into Pat's makeup in the last 2 months and there is so much controversy, which I don't understand why. I know they say her constant use of pinks but giving people misinformation about formulas is just wrong. On top of this, they even suggest we buy from Indie brands which give us more pinks and rainbow colors than Pat has ever given. The whole thing doesn't make any sense. Your channel seems like the only one I can trust right now.

But the performance of Pat’s palettes are just way better. I do wish Pat would give us different color stories with less use of pinks. But I also do appreciate that she’s a creator. And being creative is something that comes from within (based on what inspires a person not what others dictate to us). But unfortunately when it comes to business, I’ll agree that Pat needs to go back to delivering the same quality that attracted her customers to the brand. Oh well. I don't want to say maybe you are crediting those creators with more intelligence than they deserve. The creators I watch seem perfectly intelligent, reasonable people (I've no patience with any others.😂). Everything creases on me. I just let it. I love the quint formula … Creases be damned!!!🎉im just stoked it’s something I can buy without it being a complete redo. Miffed about the mothership still but I will take whatever I can get. I ordered the mega from Sephora and the neutral quint, green and black duos from pat. The other quint looked weak and the petal duo looked like the quint.

I think Pat was too busy on the runway this year to give us a mothership and she said during her Sephora France workshop that the brand is releasing a machine for airbrushing so there is that.

My thoughts, exactly, i think creators realized they get more likes and comments when criticizing Pat McGrath Labs new releases, i couldn't help but notice that some creators enjoyed revealing their dislike of the brand; iI always had the feeling some of them were convert narcissists.
Haters gonna hate 😂. It’s getting a bit stale though. In the end of the day, the quality of the products is still superior to so many other brands. And as far as Pat is concerned, there is no such thing as bad press.

I didn’t realize there were so many previous quint shades in the Mega! I thought it was only Lunar Luxury ! With just the one, I thought maybe she used the same shade but in the regular formula and reused the name because the shade is so outstanding(because she does play fast and loose with names calling non baked shades “blitz astral” now). But with several repeat shadows from quints in the Mega, it’s got to be the quint formula! I can’t wait to find out!

I agree, I understand the criticism of certain things, the disappointment of no mothership (I share that) but to either be ill informed and critical or just critical because it’s the thing now is pointless. I’ve not finished videos about this collection also because it frankly gets boring, it not being exciting or what you want doesn’t make it inherently bad!
I’ll get a few bits, I like the look of some of it, is some of it a bit boring? Yeah but I like it enough to buy it and it’s a release I look forward to.

Agree ! If someone pays their bills this way I will hold them to a different standard than someone like you who puts out amazing videos but does it as a hobby (honestly I will trust someone who does this as a hobby more but that’s just me )

I take all these information barrage with a grain of salt! I think gone are the days when people used to buy on the whim of reviews...but I understand most still do. I am looking at my pocket thesedays plus how much of a usage I'm giving my eyeshadows to justify my insatiable collectors needs. Pat McGrath gets the heat bcz her price points is still going up and their is no innovative newness coming into her collections. But i am definitely going to buy big palette and the purple quint and perhaps a little green duo. If you have watched Ella kinkley she has found 2 more repeat shades in addition to the 3 you've mentioned. Would that stop me ? Absolutely not ! So im looking forward for a video from You showcasing this 2024 holiday collection.

I still love the PMG products that I do own. If I don’t like a release then I don’t buy it. I feel like I’m one of the only people who doesn’t see it for most of Natasha Denona’s midi palettes. They are very pretty and I like that Natasha tries to do something different with a lot of her color stories. It’s not because of quality, because I own several of the 5 pan minis, but because everything is so monochromatic. Even though this is a 15 pan palette, 3-4 of the mattes look almost exactly the same & same can be said of the shimmers. Yes there is some nuance, but once I blend this out on my eye will you REALLY be able to tell that this is two different shades? At least with Pat’s Motherships all 10 shades are different shades.

I feel the same way about ND's midis...and somehow they have gotten less nuanced over time. The original Gold, even Bronze were monochromatic but there was some variation to speak of. That's gone now and it kind of throws me off Natasha's palettes. Bummer because I do like her formula and LOVE that she is doing something different.

Haha it is actually several people but probably not hard to guess. I feel it’s my place to criticize them since I am a consumer of their content, meaning a client to what they say is their business. If this was any other actual real life business, if they conducted their business like this…they’d be bankrupt pretty soon.

Mariam, just letting you know that I'm a silent subscriber. I've been watching you for about a year now but I just had to come out and say thank you for all the information you provide. I'm only just getting into Pat's makeup in the last 2 months and there is so much controversy, which I don't understand why. I know they say her constant use of pinks but giving people misinformation about formulas is just wrong. On top of this, they even suggest we buy from Indie brands which give us more pinks and rainbow colors than Pat has ever given. The whole thing doesn't make any sense. Your channel seems like the only one I can trust right now.

Ohhh I remember getting into Pat and all the joys the brand has given me (still does really). As others here have said, it has become trendy to be extra negative about her releases. Partly, I understand it...when it is coming from the people who just want the Pat from 5 years ago, but frankly others are just hopping on the hate train without really too much in-depth knowledge about the brand (or business really) which irritates me.

@@mariam.a. I’ve been the longest fan of Natasha Denona but when I bought my first PM palette, I was in awe of the formula. I definitely prefer the color stories from ND. But the performance of Pat’s palettes are just way better. I do wish Pat would give us different color stories with less use of pinks. But I also do appreciate that she’s a creator. And being creative is something that comes from within (based on what inspires a person not what others dictate to us). But unfortunately when it comes to business, I’ll agree that Pat needs to go back to delivering the same quality that attracted her customers to the brand. Oh well. @JoStylin I like ND but her makeup certainly doesn’t invoke the same feelings in me as Pat’s. Especially the first few years of PML, nothing came close to being this special…as if someone gave us a peek through the curtains of high fashion runway shows. It so cool!! I guess becoming a bigger more successful business comes as a cost.
I don't want to say maybe you are crediting those creators with more intelligence than they deserve. The creators I watch seem perfectly intelligent, reasonable people (I've no patience with any others.😂). But their priorities are different perhaps, and I dare to say as a scientist, you hone in on the different formulas, where others just see at best "matte" and "satin". I love Pat Mcgrath's products, not every release is for me and has nothing to do with the quality. This goes for every other brand I love. What I can't stand is this bashing for bashing what nowadays is so easy to hop on this bandwagon.

Не си пропуснала. Аз НЕ слагам пудра под очите. Ужасно ми седи много че сбръчква. Кожата ми под очите е супер суха и аз винаги търся хидратиращи коректори, които нося без да ги сет-вам. На Диор ми стои супер цял ден бе пудра.

I used to follow those creators but I unsubscribed. Now it’s Pat turn, but I had the same feelings before and I don’t remember the other brand. Anyway same superficial attitude, quite disturbing to me.
