Haha Lancome does seem to have that vibe don't they! The regular pressed mattes from Guerlain are exquisite too but I just don't think they are special enough comapred to the baked gelee.

Time to give Lancome another try I reckon. I will admit, I decluttred my only YSL quad. It just isn't my formula.

I think many people are falling for the obvious nostalgia trick that UD is pulling. I think Naked should be left to rest in the past where she belongs. Make something new UD, don't rehash!

@@mariam.a. I thought most of us make their own candles by now, judging by the people who got into it during dockdowns. Ive been making them since i remember myself, through studying abroad, sold some during xmas, and still making some for presents, tiny orders and myself and family. ❤️

Pmg quints are rather an unique formula, they are very very creamy. I believe they are 'poured' into the pan and then set. Lancome shadows seem to be a pressed powder.

The mattes are similarly flattering on the eye, but the PML formula is slightly more powdery...Lancome is more of a cream to powder. Very little powder kick up, applies like a cream. Both stunning though!! I hope PML brings out more this holiday.

Ribbon is the reining queen of my red lipstick collection. The taupe one is honestly next on my list...the only thing stopping me is Vega from LE haha. I somehow lose interest if a brand starts to release stuff left and right.

It is stunning, and I am extra happy that I bough it half off haha. It was literally the last one in the store and it was an XS size so I almost didn't even try t because I thought there is no way my butt will fit through XS...but the cut is quite wide so I did, happy days. Hmmm I would not say that they are terracotta, except for the lightest shade. I am not sure how they would translate on cooler skin though.

Damn I have heard that from more people. Here it is available everywhere....maybe not carried in the US? You have to tell me more about the Prada powder!!!! What do you like about it? Is it good for oily skin? Is it blurring?

@@mariam.a. I’ve had very oily skin my whole life. The OG Laura Mercier translucent loose powder was my holy grail for years. As I’ve gotten older, I’m more combo! My t-zone is still oily, but my cheeks and perimeter of my face are more normal. The LM powder started looking too dry on that area. So about 2-3 years ago, I switched to the LM talc free blurring translucent loose powder. It’s not as full strength, and I was happy, but even that had started looking a little too powdery on my cheeks lately. I’ve loved every Prada cosmetic I’ve tried, so I decided to give the powder a try. I also liked that it’s refillable and the refill is significantly less expensive than the full compact. IT WAS LOVE AT FIRST APPLICATION. It’s so finely milled that it looks like nothing on my skin. It’s not powdery looking at all even on my cheeks/perimeter. So much so, that I worried it wouldn’t hold up in my t-zone…but it does!! I adore it. One caveat, it does have a scent, but I love the scent. I was afraid that it might make me break out (I’m totally acne prone and my skin is sensitive so I was ready to be disappointed, but it’s not made me break out!) I still use the Pat McGrath under my eyes, so I don’t know what it looks like there, but it gets a hearty endorsement from me as a face powder. I generally pat it on my t-zone with a powder puff (that makes all powders hold up better for me in my t-zone, then use a powder brush all over my face. 💕💕💕

Oh and it’s very blurring, too!

@@LisaF_ Thank you! A lot of what you describe makes so much sense for my skin as well. I notice that my cheeks look too dry if I pat powder all over my face with my RT sponge...but my T zone actually holds up better. Well....now I have to try this powder! Brb, going to shop at Prada (like I needed much convincing LOL,I love their makeup so much).

To be honest I use mine less too lately...same thing no idea why. The only one that I still use on the regular is the Glam Face&Eye.

Yes it reminded me of Sunset Romance too, instantly! They do share a similar vein. You are right some eyeshadows really do wear so much better after a few hours.

I absolutely adore it. You might too Mariam. It sets my oily areas so well while being great for the under-eyes. I like it more than CT. It also provides a slight neutralisation that I didn’t know I needed 😂 (The ND powder foundation in N1 does that for me too:) Looks like nothing on the skin while doing the most. It is probably my favourite powder now. Hope you try it :)

The Prada eyeshadow palette #2 Profusion does not get enough love either. Somehow swatches don’t do the nuances justice. Especially that mustard. Don’t know how you don’t have it! You would be the person on the internets that would do it the eye looks it deserves!The parasocial relationship is so real 😂

The problem with her monochromatic midis lately is a lot of the shades look too similar.

Estee Lauder is so not a brand I think about past DW 😂. I got my mom a lipstick from them last year though and I think she really likes it. They had this awesome collab collection with VB a few years ago right?

I will be honest I have tried Huda multiple times over the years and struck out each time so I can kind of made my peace that it’s not my brand. Their grunge palette from last year though ooonnfff made my hands itchy to buy…had to remind myself multiple times that I don’t have luck with Huda. Super happy to hear that you’re enjoying Rose Quartz so much!! 💖

Преди това бяхме пак там на един хотел Парадайз Бийч, но беше по време на короната и нямаше жив човек, стаята гледаше към морето и като се будех го виждах. Разкошно беше, главно защото нямаше хора, но сега не знам как е, но съдейки по гугъл ревютата - зле :/

В конкретност говоря за на Анастасия Беверли Хилс, Noveau палитрата цвета Peacock. Обожавам такова петролено, а пък отдолу остава нещо като червеникаво burgundy 🥰 Новата ми обсесия са точно тези ей такива цветове 🦕

Aahhh so you already have plenty of experience with this formula. Indeed great for one and done. I will have to try the lip liner again for a longer day. I usually don’t work full days on Monday so it wasn’t a totally fair comparison but it lasted well for the time I wore it.

@@mariam.a. Normally a lipstick doesn't last long on me, the liner longer. The Dior and Aucoin ones last on me forever.everuthings gone but the liner stays put 😂

Hmm I have not had issues with this shade creasing it held up pretty well for more than 12h. I do however always use eyeshadow primer. Haha sometimes things come out of my mouth that make you wonder if I haven’t been possessed by an evil spirit. 😂

To my great surprise, it looks quite nice - never liked pink on my eyes previously, but I have blue eyes, so it ought to suit me 😄. I do think the whole line leans a little bit on the red undertones so beware of that but I don’t think it’s orange. Ahh yes unfortunately Suqqu doesn’t make this formula anymore but PML Paradise Venus is rather similar and a fantastic quality product too.

Wait the RMS bronzers and blushes are baked…at least the blush I had from that line for sure was. I will get a shade of the Dior contour as soon as I can find it on the retailers here with some €€ off because I am cheap like that 😂. My neck still hurts from painting the ceiling…not quite as bad to require outside intervention but pffff not cool. The final result makes me happy though. No more washing of tall windows for you!! 🙈

@@mariam.a. Haha, fair enough!!! I’ve never used one before and it’s been a learning curve-hands, brush (which kind?), sponge? Love the finish, even though I need to add back more “dew” at the end. 😅 The contour is better than the Westman, and is on par with the Victoria Beckham (just larger), looking forward to your review! As for what I’m going to paint, haha, joke’s on me, I didn’t paint after all! 😂 I need to strip the wallpaper first in our small bathroom, and while I love painting, I loathe stripping wallpaper. And in the summer? Hard pass. Will have to wait until it cools off a bit until I fire up ye olde steamer (ugh). I already bought two candles to burn in there, so yours is a cautionary tale re: the soot. I am a candle freak, so will keep an eye out and if I need to paint again…I will. I love candles that much. 😍

@@MaryintheCLE Exactly...it just throws me off and at least the HG one behaved super inconsistently on me. One day perfect the day after a hot oily mess. Haha oh no, I get it. Can you not paint over the wallpaper?

@@mariam.a. Unfortunately, this house is from 1960, so there are multiple layers of wallpaper and there is some water damage, so strip it I must. 😫 Ah well, needs must, and then I get to paint! I also really enjoy limewashing our brick interiors and am only about 25% done (like whitewashing, but with slaked lime from Italy that “breathes” with the brick/stone surfaces and is impervious to mold and rot, while also being water-resistant). That’s been a multi-year project…someday it’ll be finished. *dare to dream* 😂
