Poznałem Olgę przed laty.Występowała dla nas i uczyła kilku piosenek żydowskich.Szliśmy razem w marszu żywych w Rymanowie.Do dzisiaj słucham jej płyty z nadzieją,że może kiedyś znowu się spotkamy na koncercie.

I'm completely addicted to this music,but would love a translation for this song in particular.No one should ever forget!
So many survivors were murdered by Polish neighbors when they came back from the death camps, alone, exhausted, and met with bigotry and murderous hatred.
Very sad truth. Of course, there was already a long history of antisemitism in Poland as in Ukraine, Lithuania, etc., etc. Poles who had taken possession of houses of the Jews who had been taken by the Nazis (often with help from collaborators) were not thrilled to see that a few of the rightful owners had actually survived. How dare they come home and want to live again in their own houses! Nevertheless, we must remember that there were some brave, decent Poles who hid Jews in spite of the danger to their own families. A few survivors and righteous Gentiles are still living. May G-d bless them and rest the souls of the ones who have passed away.
