    From swamp to dust in just two videos! Boss, it has to be so much more pleasant working this site now?
    Those walls look like a fortress. Think how much faster the west would have been won if they’d only had those! (Dear YT, Please don’t ban me for politically incorrect comment.)
    Are you pouring the basement floor?
    Those pillar bases, will they just bolt the pillars through the concrete to attach to them?
    That opening below grade, is that the basement escape? Surely it won’t be an exit door?
    Boss, thanks s is a fascinating build… keep it coming.

    • @DIRT-BOSS
      @DIRT-BOSS  2 года назад +2

      The basement floor just sits on those piers just like the conventional build The door opening will be a bilco Walk out.
      Trying to sub out the floor very difficult task!!!!

  • @brianlent4818

    Gotta get yourself a compact tractor and lift down in with the excavator. We use akubota 2360 with front bucket to grade and dump excess into excavator bucket. We've been doing superior walls for 20 years. Good system if prep work is done correctly.

    Those joints should keep the water out, but then you have laid some good drainage in so far 💪
    The rain did not stop you working on this one, there was not much chance of the gravel sticking together 😁

When I was contracting I am sure I got slightly more work than my competitors because of that and looking good, not least you spend a lot of time in and on them, so why not have them nice? - plus it always seems to make Monday mornings a bit more palatable too lol...... well done mate.

    D-Boss! nice job getting it rough graded so the other crews have some space, that’s my move! here’s a tale for you…i always been in construction , framing, exterior, interior carpentry, commercial metal, anything and everything, just got back from the honeymoon and we’re cutting a opening in an industrial factory basement, we got a mess going on and a big hole, so i end up tripping over something and fall through the opening into the basement and on the way down i grab an I-beam but i slip off and start dangling from my wedding ring but end up falling off landing on a bunch of bricks and i’m in some pretty bad pain, i look at my hand and my ring is sideways through the top and bottom of my finger, trip to the hospital cut the ring off, save the finger and a…i’ll never wear a life jacket again!

    Outstanding, DB! Since your customer is a fellow RUclipsr and the site is very rural like I am, I thought I'd pass on a suggestion for Internet in case coverage is poor there like it is here for me. It took us a year to get due to the waiting list at the time, but we got high speed Starlink internet this last February and it's the best decision of that type I've ever made. You may know this, but just in case, Starlink is a totally new low earth orbiting satellite system that provides very fast internet. I had DSL here before and Starlink is 10 to 20 times faster and costs about the same. This is NOTHING like slow and expensive Hughsnet that's been around a few years. Anyway, I thought I'd pass this along if it would be useful.

    Taking everything in to consideration (backfill delay / needing a framer to frame the deck without having a backfill and needing to pour the basement which sometimes would be a pool) is it worth utilizing this system?? - I'm a builder in NH and seems to me like it may be more a liability having everything open for so long and needing to schedule multiple trades in before you can backfill - great videos

    Good evening Dirt Boss! Looking good. Two questions if you don't mind. How far do those concrete piers go into the ground?
    I love that dozer, but how do you know where the height of the blade is when grading? Just experience?

    • @DIRT-BOSS
      @DIRT-BOSS  2 года назад +2

      The piers are only 4 in thick and then the floor goes over the top of them.. as far as the dozer yes experience but on each side of the blade there's little tabs which is called an end bit which you keep an eye on when grading
