He had stitches already so he stabbed himself. Broke the arm to get the knife, the wound is fatal- into a main artery, you bleed out in minutes. He was probably already dead when John walked in front of him.

Yep. There is plenty of evidence to support that killing her in self-defense would've been okay. John let her live because she gave him information, just like Francis the doorman and even the Priest who opened the vault.

Yeah, I think it’s implied that if an “uninvited guest” might be violating Continental rules, they may be fair game for “dinner”. I’m guessing management would customarily conduct an investigation to decide if it was warranted, even though John is very trusted by them. So, catch and release (with the help of Harry who would vouch for him) was _supposed to be_ the cleaner, easier way, letting John get on with his mission right away.

The owner of the hotel and bar where John Wick was conversing also played in a western tv show: Deadwood. Ian McShane played a saloon and brothel owner when a new sheriff came to town. It' was a short lived series but loved by fans.

This is a love story everything that happens to John is because of his love for his wife. In the beginning, when he's driving the Mustang on the track, he's considering just ... not hitting the brakes. But he had a dog to take care of. John is feared AND respected. He is very good at his job, and part of his job is only killing people that need to be killed. That's why Jimmy has no problem with John - Jimmy understands that Wick is a necessary evil, and that he gets rid of people who are worse. John is polite to just about everbody, though just BARELY polite to Perkins.

This movie was beautifully shot. Thats what happens when a veteran stuntman teams up with keanu to make an action movie. They completely redefined what an action shooter could be
And the doorman at the club was spared because he gave the Intel John needed by telling him how many henchman were inside. It was 27kg=60lbs and there were 27 people guarding Joseph in the club
