Awesome! Thank you for not only including Karen Carpenter in the list, but listing her in the Number One spot. She certainly opened a lot of doors for female drummers, and she deserves it because she was a fabulous drummer. I was fortunate enough to see her and the group "live" in concert. Will never forget seeing a stunningly beautiful 5'4" woman behind the kit playing "Mr. Guder", "Help!" & "Johnny B. Goode" covers. Outstanding drummer.

I knew it was Karen cuz the whole screen was her pretty face:):) Is it safe to say she was the first female public drummer? She opened so many doors for your list!
Yeah- Karen was the first most POPULAR female drummer front person who also sang 98% of the music. No one else since then. Jen comes in a very distant second, but she only sings about 50% of the time with Skillet. That may change if her solo album goes either gold or platinum. Keep in mind this is in the "popular" category. As there are a ton of youtuber girls who play great- by themselves or doing drum solo's, as young as 8 years old...but they are by no means anywhere close to the musical achievements that not only Karen has achieved, but the Carpenter's with 10 certified gold singles (9 in Japan and the UK) and over 90 MILLION recordings sold worldwide. Good comments. :-)
