I have the WB white ones but the rubber in the end kind of melted with time, I don't know how to fix that. I pack them open and "fixed" it with some Vic tape so the rubber doesn't stick on anything. Have this ever happened to you?

Could you have used a roller to paint?

Yes. The first step to fix a mold problem anywhere is to completely STOP all water infiltration. In a basement, yes. Dig trench around foundation of house, broom clean dirt and mud off foundation walls, rinse rest of dirt off, let dry completely, then roll on foundation coating tar all the way around or install some plastic vapor barrier all the way around. Then backfill dirt and slope dirt down, away from house. Then once all the water infiltration has been stopped, then kill all the mold on the inside, prime and add anti-mold additive, and paint. The Drylock shouldn't even be needed if you stopped all the water from coming in. Your sump pumps will barely run when it rains after coating the foundation .

These VF 'Legacy' brushes (wood external) are both one of the most expensive and the WORST! In my experience, I couldn't even get the things to telescope out or back in. Even when using tools!

Thanks. Great video. I actually used kaboom brand mold and mildew with bleach. Let it soak in that stuff for 15 minutes then wiped away wit a sponge and hot water…changing it frequently.

Well he cleaned it and painted it but that’s kinda wrong; he should have raped plastic brushed it painted it with a mold killing breathing paint; don’t block moisture in the blocks as they are porous and wick water from the ground and need to dry on the inner side

Non-scientific experiment with Zildjian Cymbal Cleaner by a drummer: I hope to post this on multiple locations that show the Zildjian Cymbal cleaner. I'll premise this by saying that I've been using Bar keepers friend for a number of years successfully, among other cymbal cleaners over the years. The Zildjian about 15-16 bucks per 8 oz. bottle, I find these cleaners are a great money maker for cymbal companies. Bottom line, I'm a drummer who hopes to spread the word to other drummers to hopefully help them save a buck. I recently bought a new Zildjian brilliant cymbal and wanted to test this cleaner. It comes in a white liquid that one spreads evenly, by sparingly, per the directions, onto both sides of the cymbal. Then it is wiped off with a soft cloth. My first impression was that it is very messy and the black oxidation that comes off (even on a cleaner cymbal like my newest one) is excessive, so one needs plenty of soft clothes. This newest Zildjian cymbal still had a sheen to it, but there were stick marks that the cleaner did not get off. You're going to need a A LOT of elbow grease to get all the polish off. At this stage of my life, I've used up most of my elbow grease. Drummers need to keep in mind that cymbals, like Zildjian, come from the factory with a factory-applied chemical sheen/coat that eventually wears off through cleaning. This is fine and purely natural. Bar keepers helper is a world easier. Some people point of that is has an acid in it, but it's a WEAK acid, that won't harm the cymbal. Also, BKF doesn't irritate your hands/fingers, and if it doesn't hurt your skin, it's sure not going to damage/hurt your cymbal. With BKF, wet the cymbal, use the powder of liquid version and a small sponge. Let it sit for a few second, then rise off. Volla! It's comes out with a nice shine, without the endless elbow grease. You may opt for the liquid version of BKF to avoid micro abrasions with the powder, but those are minimal and not noticed by the naked eye. I also like the powder version sometimes so that I can scrub with a soft sponge to get the stick marks off the cymbal. I hope this helps. BMM

I'm going to try Zinsser mold killing primer and then their paint for my basement. First, I will clean the walls with borax and water, let dry and then use the primer and paint. Just make sure the walls are dry before using the Zinsser primer

There is no need to buy that expensive stuff any of these will kill mold, vinegar with regular salt or borax, hydrochloride even bleach can do the trick on non-porous surfaces.

they should have machined a notch inside the wood tube, and have a ridge in the plastic grommet that push-fits inside it to hold it secure. When we pay £35 or £40 a pair they shouldn't fall apart quite so readily. I have those wb brushes, my favourite type, I like the extra weight and strength for rim shotting sounds. I've used other sorts Clayton Cameron are good, as strong and well made, but finer and softer than the WB's
