Delicious, but knowing Hastings moves onto Argentina, shortly, is a loss for the reader. This wonderful comradery ends. Nothing lasts forever. Thank you so much for a rewarding listen.
This story was first published more than a century ago. That makes me wonder if Christie's fans at the time were so naïve as to think that all the murders with which British, French, and U.S. police had to cope were as convoluted in real life as they were in Ms Christie's fertile imagination. I doubt it. I have to think that, once one of Ms Christie's murders is fully explained, it is no more interesting than is a correctly completed Sunday Times crossword puzzle. They both become nothing more than curiosities to those who struggled with them passionately. It's the understandable human desire of the reader to get ahead of or at least keep up with Ms Christie's spinning the yarns that fuel and propel their popularity to such a degree that their lack of a firm link with life as it's lived is of no concern. It's all make believe from the get-go and we delight in yet another chance to suspend disbelief.
Wasn't THAT bad ?!? Apart from the dreadful Madeleine Smith.....an attractive young lady but unfortunately devoid of acting ability...!! Jeremy Clyde excellent as Hastings..!

Fantastic. Thank you
Glad you liked it! 😊
Charming story, albeit with many twists and turns… And of course, who doesn’t long for a happy fairytale ending!
Well said😅😊
Good story

Gave up pretty quick. The awful acting did not sound at all like Agatha Christie.
Dry good British actors!!
