you should have had spare tire and floor jack battery impact too it crazy you ran on that flat tire all that time too you always need at least one or 2 spare tires
why didn't you lube the trailer axels and good job getting a spare tire for the wheel?
@@daveyh-w6q I guess didn’t know trailer axle lubing was something you had to do regularly
id keep that truck trailer though if you dont have one. Always need a tow rig imo.
@@jeffreyrigged wish I could man, I’d love to have a flat bed but I have nowhere near the space. I will be keeping the truck for at least a few weeks though to finish the garage build 🤘
@@noboltsleftbehind im glad i have all kinds of room for that reason. Once I do this full time Im going to get a rollback. Still got 2 years until i get my full pension from kentucky.
I would have found a muffler shop somewhere to at least tack weld that trailer fender.... you have consider other people that are traveling the highways as well
Sorry wrong type of jack-should have gotten a short bottle jack.
Thats not a exhaust leak the great LS is trying give up the ship because you called it gingerbread
Man you are completely unprepared for a road trip and with a vehicle you are not familiar with. Crazy.
$5000 for truck, equipment, airfare, lodging and gas at least. I’d say $5500 - $6000 for a resale on the truck and trailer is pretty lucky here in a Southern California . If my public education serves, you broke even with the $1000 you saved on shipping. Not counting your drive time, but the content was excellent. I’m in Lomita, and doing the same thing with my Home Depot 4 post.l lift, removing rafters and modifying my garage doors to accommodate the lift and no idea what I’m doing to boot. Maybe you can message me to give me a hand and help keep me from visiting the ER haha. I’m in Lomita. Jay.
picking pennies in front of a steamroller 😂😂😂
That tick is just ur cam eating one of ur lifters. Itll be fine.
I loved the car name though
You might want to buy two
Why not fly to Tx and rent a 20' UHaul and drive home?
@@JoeZ50 that was my first thought too, but it would have cost something $2,200 just for the rental alone. It was about that time I thought to myself, “I could buy my own truck for that”. So I did. Haha
Copy that. Plus it makes for good content.
Eeek that trailer looks like the wheels are too far back for that load lol
how did you get title and tags for the truck and trailer so fast?
@@daveyh-w6q in Texas you can get a temporary trip permit online that allows you to drive the car for I think about a week after you buy it
@@noboltsleftbehind does that mean just in or both out of state?
@ it’s valid for out if state too as far as I understand it.
Weather Manipulation pal. #GeoEngineering
Nice trip. And good job.
You passed how many truck stops. Tire trucks live for 18 wheelers.
Why in the world did you fly out of LAX when Long Beach has a very nice airport? Did you check the year code on the tires? Tires can look good but be ready to burst.
@@davidallen3158 there are no direct flights to Dallas from the Long Beach airport my friend. It is a nice airport but it’s pretty limited.
Your California is showing. A guy needs to watch some Vice Grip Garage before exploring the flyover states unprepared.
@@ProjectWheelhaus haha you’re right about that
@ great content and very relatable. Let us know about what happened to the Silverado and trailer. Those 5.3s are notorious for passenger side exhaust leaks from snapped bolts. Also those wheels are rather rare for the cat eye crowd.Hope you’ll are safe from the fire
@ thanks man, will do. And I appreciate it, my neighborhood is safe from the fires 👍
My guy did you not know there is a huge car lift company here in santa paula California [Bendpak]
@@Joel-jv4xj 😂 yes of course, but they’re expensive man! Like 4 grand more than I paid. And I would have considered paying the Bendpak premium if they were still made in USA but I found out they sent their production overseas…
When you got the flat, was there a lug nut missing?
Can’t believe no one has said anything about the tongue jack on the trailer. Or showed him how to pivot it up.
@@kevinmcpherson4067 the jack on the trailer tongue was broken unfortunately
@ I enjoyed the video
I'm watching this video and I'm scared to death for you. Next time you make this trip or any like this Planet like 3 weeks in advance and ask questions and tips because we were looking at the video saying oh my God oh my God
So melodramatic.
Being a 1500, would have the truck spare worked?
Truck spare was missing unfortunately. The jack was gone too
How were you able to get legal plates and registration in TX for CA guy???
I would fix the rim before you resell the trailer
