Changing would be wrong, in my opinion, because of what others say. You're not going to be happy doing that. Adjusting because of constructive criticism you agree with is different. Changing because you are evolving is part of life's journey. I happen to check out a couple of the profiles from some of the negative comments you received, interesting. I found the videos they put online were some of the best I have seen, lol. There were no videos. Surprise, not. In time, you will find your own way to deal with the trolls. Your fans don't care about the trolls and have written them off as trash. Spend more time focused on your fans. In time, you will find your own style dealing with the trolls and having your fans laughing along with you. Always review criticism with an open mind. Always reject criticism that wants you to react in anger. You will find your own way to turn the tables on them, not in anger but in entertainment. You and your fans will be laughing. If you don't share your thoughts and feelings as I believe you started "this channel" based on "Are you cheating yourself and your fans?" Always remember it is your channel and your Journey. To be honest I am sad that you will hold back now. But I totally expected it. The hate wave you got on a silly day in the life video is insane and things that were being said are so out of line. No one that follows the law and doesn't hurt anyone deserves that. When I was Miguel's age, we had coffee shops open at night. We had Starbucks but we also had the small independent coffee places. We hung out as friends there before we turned 21. It is a shame places close earlier now

I have been putting off watching this video because of the title. I was unsure if it was in regards to your health, your relationship, your HIV or some other ground breaking life altering event. I am relieved after seeing the content. Please don't change because of the opinion of others. You don't even know who they are and their life circumstances. Negative comments from others are more a reflection of the speakers' unhappiness with their own lives and the jealously, for whatever reason, they have with yours. Right or wrong, good or bad, saint or sinner, everyone has a past. It is your honest that brought me to you and has watched your maturation through your videos. Reading and music and later writing saved me as a depressed kid who didnt ever connect with my parents. They (books, records) helped me understand myself and other people, and fueled the process of becoming without the depth of shame I felt growing up gay (I am a little older than Shawn). It is so funny and I get it. People that post on Internet whether that is on RUclips or Facebook or any other social media they post but they only want positive feedback but that is not the thing, when you post something you are going to get critique people are going to judge you, you might not like that but that is what people do. I have worked a good bit of my time with artists and they gat lots of things thrown at them. And it is how you deal with it. Sometimes it is question your self of should I have posted this or not or if I used other words would it made a difference, it is and will be a complicated question. But if you expect that everyone is going to be nice forget it. people are mean if you like it or not. There is one thing that I have learned over the last 41 years that's how old I am now lol but when I was 14-15 my father told me that really good friends you can only count on one hand. My father passed away when I was 16 and when I came out as gay 1 year later I understood what he actually meant with that. Only a hand full of people understand you, and they respect you. Others that are a little bit more distant will not see the fun of a joke you make or don't like it that you are gay or whatever. Just what I'm trying to say is it is not you that is a problem. Or your age gap with your bestie. It is people who are not close to you won't understand the way you live your life. And critique everything you do.
Don't sweat it, read over those comments. Don't let it touch you mentally. In my opinion I think what you have is something unique, something special. Is it weird to date an older guy? Great video but story time for me ok I am back home from the hosptial st vincents had to stay for three day on iv antibiotics the skin canser they took for my left shin to the bone and left it open it became magery infected I had to be brought in by Green Bay EMS at at 11:00 pm at 1 am I was sent to the 7 floor if the infection had went to my bone then it would have been a lower leg amputation. now I am on 5 different types of antibiotics and haft to go in twice a week to the wound care at the hospital twice a week. Not good don't trust the nurse at the new dermatology here in green bay they told me that green bay yellow on my gauze pad that I did daly is normale it's not. All I got to say is ware sun screen Skin Canser is no Joke and Iam 63 year old and my maried guy for 19 years is 37 so your not alone
