Other than Weird Al from Rob Zombie's H2 obviously being number one... I'm going to highlight Big John and Little John being my favorite part of Halloween Kills (great dynamic, great kills, experts at dealing with shitty kids), John Tate, who walked so Karen could run in the 2018 trilogy (and I was intrigued by his inclusion in the unproduced script for the Resurrection sequel), and specifically Michael from Halloween 2018. I think they nailed the reintroduction to the character and his performance by James Jude Courtney is the best since the original.
I may not have that much experience with this franchise compared to others, but I definitely love the 3 main characters of the OG Halloween the most. Laurie Strode, Dr. Samuel Loomis, and of course, Michael Myers himself. The Shape is forever one of the most iconic horror faces of all time, and his legacy of bringing so much fear with no motivation whatsoever truly speaks for itself. His creativity with his kills also gives off bonus points. Definitely my favorite Halloween character ever. But when there’s a great villain, there are great heroes. Laurie Strode is definitely one of my favorite protagonists in horror history. While she may be a regular person with no powers, her quick thinking and high brain power, have led to her escaping Michael plenty of times when anyone else could’ve died in those situations rather quickly. Her intelligence definitely is something else and is why she’s my third favorite. And in my opinion, my second favorite character, has got to be Samuel Loomis himself. The main psychiatrist of Michael himself, he knows everything of Michael, how he thinks, how he acts, all of that, and the fact he does a good job of not showing any fear when possibly confronting Michael, when anyone else would sh*t themselves normally, is just amazing. And his mentality of wanting to end this deal, no matter what, definitely shows his determination to bring peace, and I like that. So those are my favorite Halloween characters. Just my opinion, and I hope that no matter who we have in our lists, we still enjoy this franchise, no matter what. Thanks for another awesome video, Ian, and I hope you and all the DanDans continue to have a good one. I love you all.❤️😊
I love how many good characters they had across the franchise. Danielle Harris was at NY Comic Con, my friend got a picture with her. She looks great, and she’s apparently really cool to talk to. Could NOT believe Michael defeated Scorpion in that match haha. Gotta finish watching GM Showdown but what I saw so far was excellent.
Laurie Strode (2018) rules! You're absolutey right about the last episode of GM Showdown. My jaw is still on the floor watching Myers win! Love seeing Patches at the end. Long live Patches Lugosi!
I love sheriff bracket from Rob Zombie's halloween (2007) because he's believable there. and one of the voices that my mind has made iconic (because of child's play 1-3 and so on)
Hell yeah! New 616 video to start my day! Happy Halloween season, Ian! Doctor Loomis is an obvious favorite. But I also love the drunk preacher Jackson P. Sayer from part 4. Just a really fun and interesting scene. Otherwise, perfect list.
I agree with your list almost completely. I saw Halloween 2018 on TNT and I didn't see the little black kid you talked about. Could be the network edited out his part to make the movie fit into their time slot.
My favorites from every movie Halloween: I love almost everyone from this movie but Loomis, Laurie, and Michael are the trinity that make this movie work and they aren't even in the same room until the last five minutes of the film. These three are the glue of the franchise. I'd love to see them try a Halloween movie without 2 of them. We've never seen a Halloween movie without 2 of them. Even Halloween 3 has a TV cameo of Laurie and Michael. Halloween II: I'm going Loomis and Michael for this one. They're both heightened versions of themselves in this one with Loomis delivering more monologues and being more crazy while Michael has upped his brutality and body count. Laurie just sort of lays in the hospital waiting for the end chase to begin. Also like the first, they aren't in the same room again until the last 5 minutes of the film. I almost forgot Budd but he's hilarious. Halloween III: The ultimate ying and yang with the sophisticated but evil Conal Cochran going up against the drunk womanizer Dr. Challis. I give a Cochran slow clap to these two. Halloween 4: Another one where I like a lot of the characters. Loomis is in top form again here. He might be a little drunk too like our doctor in Halloween III after our good Reverend gives him a drink. I enjoy the Rachel and Jamie dynamic where they aren't actually sisters but have to be to take on Michael Myers. I think Michael is really good in this one too even if his mask is a downgrade. Love the shotgun kill. Halloween 5: Loomis still has some good quotes in this one and I enjoy him going crazy on Michael at the end of this one. He's past his prime but a past his prime Loomis is still better than the rest of the awful characters in this movie. Halloween 6: Poor Loomis is out there still trying his best. He's like a hall of fame wrestler that's having that last match. He can still do the hits but they are a little slower than they used to be. Other than that, I kinda enjoy the Biff Tannen dad plus he gets his head blown up. Michael is a lot like Loomis in 5 and 6 where he too isn't quite as good as he used to be but still gets the job done. Halloween H20: I enjoy the Laurie arc in this movie. I prefer PTSD drunk teacher Laurie that has to get over her monster over survivalist PTSD drunk Laurie from 2018. I guess I just feel this is a more likely version of her than the 2018 version. Plus it's so satisfying when she cuts off Michael's head. I do also enjoy the comic relief that Ronnie brings to the film. Halloween Resurrection: It's Busta Rhymes. Everyone else pretty much sucks but Busta is so entertaining. Halloween 2007: While I don't really care for Loomis in the second one of these, I do think he's decent in this one. Michael is pretty good in this one too since he's now a hulking beast of a man. Halloween II 2009: Brad Dourif as Sheriff Brackett gives a great emotional performance in a film that doesn't not deserve him. That scene where Annie has died and he breaks down gets me. Halloween 2018: Michael is back to being cool again. He looks good and his kills are awesome. I do like this Laurie version even though I said I prefer the H20 version. Allyson is also a pretty good lead of this film. I actually think she's a bit underused for kinda being the new Laurie. Halloween Kills: Michael has been upped to 11 in this one so he's great. Laurie sits in a hospital bed like in Halloween 2 so she's not up there this time. The mother and daughter duo of Karen and Allyson carry this movie more and I think they do a good job of it. I wish they did a better job of following up on Karen's death at the end of the film. Being a MadTV fan, I also have to give a shoutout to Michael McDonald. Halloween Ends: I think Laurie's story in this film is pretty good with her just being over Michael Myers and Halloween. It's just that there's a Corey story also going on to get in the way of the Laurie story. Michael is not good in this one. He's out there looking like Ric Flair in his last match and I'm not talking about the Wrestlemania 24 one. Allyson and Corey just aren't for me in Halloween Ends.
see busta should've told Michael " WHO TURNED THE LIGHTS OFF? SOMEBODY AIN'T PAIED THE ELETRIC BILL OR SUM SHIT? CURCIT BREAKER TRICKED OUT OR SOMETHING? OH THAT WAS ME PARDON ME MY BAD
Hell yes! Keep the Halloween content comin', brother! I'm at work, but I'll definitely be dropping my full list later as an edit to this comment! Here it is, my best shot at a top 10: 1: Michael Myers 2: Dr. Samuel Loomis 3: Conal Cochran 4: Laurie Strode 5: Jamie Lloyd 6: Rachel Carothers 7: The Reverend Leo Sayer 8: Karen Nelson/Strode 9: Allyson Nelson 10: Busta Ryhmes
Interesting move putting Cochran at 3. I've never been a huge fan of Season of the Witch, but Cochran is an ICONIC villain. I've heard the actor had begun to have difficulty with his lines owing to age, but you'd never have guessed it from his performance. His soliloquy is one of the finest moments in horror history. It's easy to find someone who can play a grumpy old man...but to find someone who's truly convincing as a MEAN old man...that's a lot more rare...
What, no love for the random woman in the crowd holding the iron in Halloween Kills' final beat down? Anyone with the guts to face him with a such a small blunt object takes guts.
Dr. Loomis is my favorite character of the franchise. Don played him to perfection and started a good trope in modern horror as the expert who knows what they are dealing with. Van Helsing was probably the originator of this but so many modern horror movies have you going, “Ah there’s the Loomis character” Also he’s a responsible character, he knows what Michael is and he’s terrified of him yet knows it’s his duty to take this evil out of the world whether it be incarceration or death.
I 100% agree with you about Andi Matichak. She is a dream girl. She should do more horror movies and become among an elite scream queen. I did enjoy her performances in the new Halloween movies. She’s a survivor. Doc Loomis is obviously at the top of the list. I enjoyed him the most in Halloween 2. He gave no fucks. Laurie in the new trilogy was a bad ass and was prepared for the final showdown. Busta was hilarious 😂. Paul Rudd as Tommy was one of a very few bright spots in the Curse of Micheal Myers. And a special shout out to Vanessa for the unintentional hilarious moment of shooting herself in the car scene in Halloween Kills 😭 😭 💀
Great list bro 😂😂😂😂 loved LL Cool J and Danny Trejo 😂 also loved the most hated list, I can’t stand that obnoxious clown from part 5, that blonde dude who giggles weird…. Hated him as a kid 😂 never thought anyone else would notice!!!!! That dudes a creep 😂 also I liked Tina from part 5 lol
What are you referring to? In what sense did she WIN? In 1, Loomis saved her life. In 2, Loomis saved her life FOUR SEPARATE TIMES. In H20, she 'triumphed' over a mute paramedic.
As much as I hate the Zombie films, Joe Grizzly is always a character I look forward to during my re-watches, who else besides the legend Ken Forey could look Michael Myers eye-to-eye and say “I’m Joe Grizzly Bitch!” Legendary.
Next month Ian, I'M JOINING THE $5 PATREON TRAIN! I almost did $2 but than I realized, I like voting, so boom, next I'll join Patreon at $5 & help the PSP!
Obviously Laurie, Michael, and Loomis are the three characters the franchise was built upon, but Jamie is my favorite character in the franchise. Yeah, even despite how awfully she was treated after the 4th movie. That 4th movie alone is so great for her, and Danielle Harris does an admirable job with absolute garbage in 5. Love the character, would love to see another Halloween reboot that follows through in 4's ending. If not that, let her be the heroine again for at least one more movie and give her a better fate.
Hey, I'm gonna be recording gameplay footage of WWF Smackdown in the PS1 and I was turning the music down (since I didn't wanna hear music in the match and I don't wanna get copyright claimed up the rear end even after I disabled entrances), I saw the sound setting for Mono as Monaural.. is that a real world or is that a botched translation job?
The best characters is (of course) Michael Myers, Dr. Loomis, Laurie Strode and Jamie Lloyd but I’m Halloween 3 fan so Conal Cochran and Dr. Dan Challis are the best imo Cochran is easily a top 5 villain in cinema and Dr. Challis one of those guy we really shouldn’t root for but he’s a hero nonetheless lol
Yeah, that soliloquy that Cochran delivered was unforgettable. At first glance, he seems almost like a Bond villain, with his grandiose, ambitious scheme...but during his comments to the doctor, you see his true colors...This guy is downright MEAN. Many villains do bad things to get something....money, or a woman, or revenge, or a political office....but with Cochran, you get the feeling that this man is the real deal....He acts mean because he IS mean. That's surprisingly rare in Hollywood villains.
Dr. Dan Challis IS a real hero! The original DanDan
Amen to that, brother!
A lady’s man who has confidence to spare this guy is a man’s man banging women 10+ years younger than himself.
Not the hero we deserve, but the hero we needed.
Love the GM Showdown plug! If you don't watch GM Showdown, in Nigel's words, "bury yourself in your own backyard!"

Rob zombies first and second Halloweens we're the best two movie series imo. Let's forget about that third one
he was even more believable in part 2. it was gut wrenching when he found Annie like that.
Hell yeah! New 616 video to start my day! Happy Halloween season, Ian!
Doctor Loomis is an obvious favorite. But I also love the drunk preacher Jackson P. Sayer from part 4. Just a really fun and interesting scene. Otherwise, perfect list.
lol me typing "Dr. Loooooomis" because I'm a troll lol great vid Ian
You should do a video on all the people who played Michael Myers best to worst.
Honorable mention: Freddy haha

@@tgriffin3059 He was great as Andrew Packard from "Twin Peaks", as well.
He even blessed the RoboCop series with his presence!
Glad Danny Trejo got a mention

Can't believe you didnt mention number One best Michael Myers impersonator and local hero Ben Trammer 😜
Best thing about the SamHain movie is the old ass lady that babysat Michael way back when. That scene was wild
Michael Myers? I got you. Get me a six pack of High Life and a members only jacket.

All just opinions though.

Wouldn't Laurie's record be 6-1 against Michael?
W: Halloween, Halloween 2, Halloween H20, Halloween (2018), Halloween Kills, Halloween Ends
L: Halloween Resurrection
Halloween Kills doesn't count because she never interacted with Michael in that one. She was in the hospital the whole time.
What are you referring to? In what sense did she WIN? In 1, Loomis saved her life. In 2, Loomis saved her life FOUR SEPARATE TIMES. In H20, she 'triumphed' over a mute paramedic.

@@616Entertainment Sorry, I was just trying to see if a miscount occurred.

Pretty much my take on Resurrection, too. Busta's funny, but that's about all it's got.
Busta's not an actor...and I still cannot help but to think that the whole film was just Rosenthal's revenge on the franchise...
Ok OG Doink aka Matt Borne as the DUI champion is fucking incredible if you know lmao

Nothing even remotely 'garbage' like with 5. One of the finest films of its' kind ever made. Halloween 5 attracts the most ludicrous criticism...
Hilarious.

Mono sound, whether monophonic or monaural, mean the same thing. It plays to one ear, one speaker, rather than stereo, which plays to more than one.

Laurie Strode - The worst and best character 😂
You cheeky bastiid
Obviously Michael Myers is my favorite character. He is the best on screen horror movie serial killer that has a franchise. Full stop.
