Good job with this! You'd benefit from staging your spray operation, however. Spray from after the IC from low boost all the way to peak. BUT, use a boost switch to delay the solenoid opening until just before timing pull is expected. This will broaden the torque curve. You may be able to run a 225cc (#4 nozzle) nozzle, too, and achieve more total air cooling.
I’m in the process of doing head gasket on a 2011 mini Cooper S. I’ve been going through your intake and exhaust manifold videos, but I cannot seem to find the head video that you referred to in the others.
Should have just used an aluminum intake manifold with these provisions in it... I just installed a speedtech aluminum manifold and HOLLY SHIT , it's the perfect complement to my upgraded ic, intake, big turbo and tune.. you'd think being a bigger plenum and short runners it would loose a little bottom end or max psi BUT NOOOOOPE. it fricken made the car SO MUCH more powerful, all around !
I was thinking you should've installed this on the R53 because it had knocking ...This Methanol Injection will help move it further away from the knocking issue by more of cooling down the combustion chamber...just a thought.
Have you put any catch cans in yet and capped the pcv connection on inlet manifold as you are probably aware that direct-injection suffer with carbon and oil deposits on the inlet valve Regards Mark 👍👍
Wait a second... If the spacer moves everything up by 2-4 inches how would you use the stock fresh air tube to the air box? I have the AEM intake on my N14 and everything fits OEM so would the fresh air tube be useless after installation of the WMI?
Im using 175ml for the post intercooler nozzle and on the direct port methanol injection kit in using the ones that come with the kit (for some reason SpeedTech Motorsports doesn’t want that information made public).
Hey what’s up, I own an r56 that’s bone stock at the moment, I plan on doing a turbo muffler delete and a noise generator delete, an upgraded air filter with stock air box and an exhaust resonator delete, is it entirely necessary to upgrade the intercooler at that point or should that be upgraded too, I’m in highschool and don’t wanna spend too much money.

I love your videos ,I love the way you explain and show how to keep them coming.thank you
Thank you! 🙏
Thanks for posting. Are you planning to do this to your R53?
Maybe someday

I haven’t made the video yet, but i have videos on how to do everything but unbolt the head
What bolts did you use for the intake manifold and spacer?
I used the bolts that came with the spacer
What nozzles use? Ml?... Great video!!!
????

Does this require a special tune afterwards?
It’s not required but it is beneficial to get the tune.

My catch can is sitting on my cowl in this video

And you didn't get an answer 🤷🏽
@@AIRCOOLEDLIFE lol I sold the R55 for a F56.
2nd gen had no potential to grow and the B48 was the best solution to get reliable power

I would do the intercooler first. Check out the G-plus intercooler on amazon or ebay, they’re pretty cheap and work really well
@@ProjectMini cool, thx man appreciate it
I have the same system on my Copper S, but you would never know looking at the engine....its all hidden.
