    The Proton Pump releases H+ ions. PPI inhibit the release of H+ ions, therefore decreasing secretion of HCL

      Great video content! Forgive me for butting in, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you thought about - Iiyayloon Straightforward Interest (google it)? It is a good one off product for destroying your heartburn issues without the hard work. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my mate got excellent results with it.

      Man I just took the first pill of 30 and I already had a headache shortly after and today around the same time. My girlfriend looked up the side effects and after talking and seeing this I am done.

    Hi, Love your videos. I disagree with the iron taking statement. It kills my stomach if I take it on an empty stomach, i get a instant heartburn. I was strictly advised never take iron on a empty stomach or with dairy products. Thank you and I must say your videos save time.

      Abd I am on its cousin Dexilent- it and Protonix worked for ME but it's most commonly relative prescribed in my area, Omeorazole did zilch. In fact I had Hector, my first ulcer, grow and worsen while receiving that rascal drug!

    I hated pharm, I still hate pharm. my teacher was called hitler for a reason. she was dry and went so fast, skipped shit and gave a test with her doing little work. she talked so much about her day and didn't teach. she made me hate pharm.

      yeah, most teachers are pretty shitty and shouldnt be teachers. Unfortunately our system is backwards and teachers make the least amount of money. Why be a teacher when I can work at a clinic and make more money?

      Yeah speak on it- I'm another seeking more info. Alas , as a Medicare- aged person my PartD doesn't contence the liquid form, I have to dissolve those big white pills in very warm. Almost boiling water. Let it cool slightly and then chug the slurry. Has all the joyous taste of blackboard chalk- pretty loathsome!

    i was prescribed 40mg of protonix and have been taking it for over 10 years - i just now read that 8 to 16 weeks is the length of time for taking this PPI - if i stop taking it now, is it dangerous after such a long period of use and will i have withdrawls - please respond

    • @mikewest1687
      @mikewest1687 9 лет назад

      +nwnative I would talk to your doctor, a lot of times they go against these recommended dosages as long as the patient is not having any serious side effects. Also, if it's a new doctor than the one who prescribed it make sure they know you are still on this medication because this info is not always transferred.

    • @keitheeds

      Mike West thanks - i have an appointment with my dr. this week and plan to talk about this subject - i appreciate your response and thanks again

      nwnative rain you are supposed to get off of it slowly as in reduce dosages in a period of time.
