W. J. M. Thanks for that! I didn't know Parker had re-re-released the Duofold in 2016! The Centennial was released in 1988 for the centennial anniversary of the company. So what was the 2016 version in honor of? Interesting that Jinhao copied the band from the 2016 model, the section from 1988 and the clip from the ’20’s.
@@InkquiringMinds I don't know. Likely it's not in honor of anything, it's just a change in design. The 1988 Duofolds actually had an even different bands with the upper ring wider and the other one slimmer. It was changed to two equal rings a few years later. And BTW thank you for this review. I'm a huge fan of Duofold... knock-offs (the real thing is way over my fountain pen budget). So naturally I ordered this thing the moment I saw it released, still waiting for the delivery. I'm glad to learn that the pen is lightweight, meaning they didn't repeat the mistake of putting a huge piece of metal at the top of the barrel (like Kaigelu).

I am really appreciate to get informed about jinhao centenial weight almost same with duofold centenial. Is jinhao's barrel end knob also made of plastic? Yes, the weight of the Kaigelu 316 is an issue. I know some people over at the Fountain Pen Network forum had done surgery on them to remove that brass end and hollow it out to reduce the weight. They are still beautiful pens. The Jinhao Centennial fake blind cap seems to be made of plastic. I was surprised it was lighter than the Moonman M600S.
