Im same age as you and also a blender artist from Japan but u r one of the best young blender artist I've ever seen in my entire life bro🔥 Keep it up ! 頑張ってくれえ!!!
Love it ! Might be a good idea to make the Howl's Moving Castle move forward and make it bigger ? You spent so much time on the details and the rigging it'd be a shame not to showcase your work even more. Also, it would also give a sense of gigantic scale compared to your character ? Or maybe having the character running on the castle itself ? I remember Sophie and Haru were rlly tiny compared to the castle ! Either way keep going, your work's inspiring me to do my best as well :)
Thanks so much for your detailed comment! Yes I will certainly make it move forward and I'll try make it bigger too! My issue was with the vertical height it starts to clip out of camera view so I wasn't sure what to do! I'll try my best to improve the sense of scale. Thanks, and I'd love to see your work as well!!
I was thinking the same thing but not bigger just closer. That way you can have some of the exhaust interact with the path like have the trees move or kick up dust
I would recommend the ANT Landscape generator addon which is buillt into Blender for free- these specific assets are downloaded though lol. You can certainly do this with sculpting or a displacement map though- just make sure to download some good terrain brushes and paint away with high subd!
Nice manh, why don't you instance the duplicated objects so you can atleast decrease the amount of the duplicates in the viewport atleast by a small number.
Don't worry most of the highpoly stuff is instanced the scene performance is fine - it was just a misclick which converted all the instances to meshes which caused the lag
Hey weird question, but how many hours a day you were able to dedicate for this challenge? I am looking to start 3d art as an hobby but only have like 1-2 hours after my job :')
So most days I actually did no work and then on friday and the weekends I'd do 5-7 hours of work a day on the challenge. So on avg like an hour a day or less haha. But I guess keep in mind 150ish hours spent on the castle model last 2 months- but thats pretty specific to this render! Learning may be slower with less time, but I think as long as you have the energy for it and do stuff you find fun, you should be able to do plenty with that time! Hope it helps and good luck :)
@@YisenCinema I've already someone trying to do it but we haven't the same idea, it's deadpool fighting other deadpool in a multivers style with a lot of action, references and with the Across the spiderverse art style, yea i've smoked too much things after watching deadpool movie
Guys im working also on this and in unreal engine the sequence is 5.25 sec long. When i render it and add the sequence to davinci it shows only 5.06 secondes. Does anyone knows the problem? (I made sure that its 24fps and 126 frames maximum)
To be honest, it's kind of waste of your huge work. You made entire castle and placed it far in the back of scene. Why? We dont see your hard work, it's just some element in the background. You should have put it much closer to make scene interesting.
The closer you put it, the less of it you can see. My model is detailed, but not that detailed. What's the point in modelling the whole thing, if you can only see a small section of it? Maybe you didn't realise, but I made most of this befote the challenge even started- so its not like I spent most of my challenge time on it lol. You're right that time efficiency wise there's not a huge point- but I made it for fun, for the experience and for my portfolio. Also there are 3d almost no decent Howls Moving Castle models out there to be honest, so that wouldn't have been much of an option
Haahaha it was non functional but yea my setup is now a 3060, 32 gigs ram, amd 5700x. I remember the times when even a million would crash me on my prev setup haha
Hope you guys like this one! Let me know what you wanna see added/changed and what you like!

Seeing the castle move more would look awesome
Sounds like good plan ;)
Modelled the entire castle what a Legend. Good Luck 💪💪
Thanks so much for the kind words! Good luck to you as well!
Huge respect for modeling so much by yourself.
I also always try to do the most by myself and use as few assets as possible.
Thanks so much! Yeah I think thats a great approach for continuously learning and practicing, provided you have enough time to do it :D
I'm a competitor and im scared
LOL don't be hahaha, good luck my friend
I’m not a competitor and I’m scared because I don’t think I’ll ever be able to make something like this competition or no lol

Amazing work Yisen!!
Thank you John! :D
solid work my guy
Thank you, my guy :)
Amazing work, I cant believe you modeled that whole thing yourself
Thanks so much! Yeah it took a long time but I'm glad I got there :)
Very cool! Also to save render time I would try to make the mountains in the background images
Haha pretty good advice in retrospect! After decimating them they weren't too bad for performance though to be honest
Amazing work buddy!
Thank you!
Good luck.. im excited for this render challenge
Thanks so much! I'm excited too to see top 100
Great progress so far I think, keep it going!
Thank you!
Fuiyohhhhhh!!! So good!
Hahahaha 多谢啊
Looks really great - top 200 this time at least for sure! Also a surprise windows update appears... :P
Hahahaha thank you Shauny we'll aim for top 200! And yes I got ambushed by windows lol

Hahaha thanks so much Sotomonte! Means a lot to see you here! :D
its really good and i can never do that. but realistically it needs some polishing to reach top 100
For sure it needs way more haha, thanks for your feedback!

Suppose I join the challenge and follow the rules
How would I upload my video for judging
